4 Allgemeine Hinweise Sehr verehrter Kunde, vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für ein Produkt der Firma Audiotechnik Dietz entschieden haben. Sie haben eine hervorragende Wahl mit diesem Produkt getroffen. Bei der Entwicklung des Produktes wurde besonders auf Ihre persönliche Sicherheit, kombiniert mit bestmöglichstem Bedienungskomfort, modernem Design und aktuelle Produktionstechniken geachtet. Aber trotz größtmöglicher Sorgfalt kann es bei unsachgemäßer Installation oder Benutzung, oder bei falscher Bedienung zu Verletzungen und/oder Sachschäden kommen. Bitte lesen Sie deshalb die Ihnen vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig und vollständig durch und bewahren Sie diese auf! Dieses Produkt erfüllt die Anforderungen der geltenden europäischen und nationalen Richtlinien. Die Konformität wurde nachgewiesen, die entsprechenden Unterlagen und Erklärungen sind beim Hersteller hinterlegt. 6 Voraussetzungen zum Betrieb des Can-Bus Updaters Sie benötigen einen PC oder Laptop der mit einem Microsoft Betriebssystem ausgestattet ist, über mindestens 10 MB freien Festplattenspeichers und über einen freien USB 2.0 oder 3.0 Port verfügt. Zum Betrieb des Updaters, zum Herunterladen der neuesten Updatefiles und der Betriebssoftware wird eine Internetverbindung benötigt. Kompatible Windows Versionen : Windows P ( 32/64 Bit ) Windows 2000 ( 32/64 Bit ) Windows Vista ( 32/64 Bit ) Windows 7 ( 32/64 Bit ) Zur Installation benötigen Sie gegebenenfalls Administratorrechte, sollten Sie nicht wissen ob Sie diese Rechte besitzen, Fragen Sie Ihren Administrator. Zusätzliche Adapterkabel : Für die Programmierung der Interfaces / benötigen Sie noch das zusätzliche Kabel CBL0392CUN11 Hinweis: Eine Softwareversion für Appel oder Linux basierende Systeme gibt es für die Updater von Paser zur Zeit nicht. 7 Installation der SW auf dem PC Verbinden Sie erst nach Installation der SW auf Ihrem PC den Updater mit dem PC. Laden Sie sich die Betriebssoftware der Paserupdaters von unserer Homepage unter herunter. Sie finden die SW im Downloadbereich für registrierte Kunden. Nach dem Herunterladen öffnen Sie die SW in dem Sie auf die Installationsdatei klicken. Nach dem Aufrufen der Datei bestätigen Sie die Installation in dem Sie auf weiter drücken. Nach dem Start werden Sie gefragt in welchem Verzeichnis die Software Installiert werden soll. Sie können auswählen ob die SW in dem vorgegebenen Verzeichnis oder aber in einem von Ihnen vorgesehenen Verzeichnis installiert werden soll. Betätigen Sie dazu die Browse Funktion und wählen einen Speicherort für die SW aus. Wenn dies erfolgt ist, betätigen Sie mit next. 8 Während der Installation wird Ihnen ein Ladebildschirm angezeigt der Ihnen den Fortschritt der Installation darstellt. Je nach verwendeter Sicherheitssoftware auf Ihrem Rechner kann es vorkommen, dass nach einer Bestätigung zu der Installation gefragt wird. Sollten Sie keine Erlaubnis dazu bekommen, fragen Sie Ihren Systemadministrator. Nach Beendigung der Installation brauchen Sie nur noch auf close zu drücken. Die Betriebssoftware für den Updater ist nun installiert. Nach der Installation finden Sie die SW in Ihrem Startmenü mit der Bezeichnung Paser Read Write Ver. Über diesen Menüpunkt können Sie nun jederzeit mit einem angeschlossenen Updater die Software starten. Hinweis: Die SW lässt sich nur mit angeschlossenem Interface starten. 9 Anschluss des Updaters Verbinden Sie nach der Installation den Updater über das beigelegte USB- Kabel mit dem PC. Verwenden Sie keine anderen USB-Kabel oder Adapterstücke, da es ansonsten zu Beschädigungen am Updater führen kann. Die abgebildete 12V Buchse wird nicht benötigt! Im Normalfall ist diese Buchse abgedeckt. Sollte diese offen sein, beachten Sie diese nicht oder verwenden Sie einen Streifen Tesafilm um die Öffnung zu schließen. Sie wird zur Programmierung von den Interfaces nicht benötigt Nach dem Anschluss über das USB-Kabel wird als erstes Ihr PC eine neue Hardware erkennen, nach diesem Vorgang können Sie die Paser Betriebssoftware starten. Hinweis : Je nach verwendetem Betriebssystem oder Benutzereinstellung kann es vorkommen, das die Hardware nicht automatisch erkannt oder Installiert wird. 10 Vergewissern Sie sich das die Schalter und Anzeigen an dem Interface wie abgebildet eingestellt sind und leuchten. Die LED muss nach angeschlossenem USB-Kabel und eingeschalteten PC grün leuchten. Wenn das Interface Daten ausließt oder programmiert leuchtet oder blinkt diese LED gelb. Der Selector dient dazu zwischen den CAN-Arten um zu schalten. Dies bedeutet, ist der Schalter auf der rechten Seite ist der rechte Anschluss aktiv (2-Kabel-CAN). Steht der Schalter auf der linken Seite ist der Linke Anschluss aktiv (GM-oder 1-Kabel-CAN ). Der Schalter für die Termination muss immer auf der Linken Position stehen. Sollte dies nicht der Fall sein ist die Programmierung eines Interface nicht möglich. Je nach Interface das Sie programmieren wollen, muss der Schalter umgestellt werden. 11 Update eines CAN-Bus Interface Als erstes ermitteln Sie welches CAN-Bus Interface Sie haben und updaten möchten. Die Artikelnummer befindet sich auf dem Label des Interface ( z.b / oder Unico Dual / Slimkey usw.) Wenn Sie das richtige Interface zu dem Updater haben, verbinden Sie nun das Interface mit dem Updater über das beigelegte Kabel. Bei manchen Interfaces kann es vorkommen dass Sie das Gehäuse öffnen müssen um an den Anschluss für den Stecker zu gelangen (z.b ). Achten Sie in dem Fall darauf, dass Sie das Interface auf keine stromleitende Unterlage oder Gegenstände legen, da ansonsten beim Anschluss oder der Programmierung das Interface beschädigt werden kann. Nun drücken Sie 5 Sekunden auf den Resetknopf an dem CAN-Bus Interface. Die LED sollte danach rot blinken. Besuchen Sie nun die Homepage von Dietz, dort finden Sie im Downloadbereich für registrierte Kunden die aktuellste SW für Ihr Interface. Laden Sie sich diese Datei herunter und speichern Sie diese auf Ihren PC. Am Besten in einem Ordner mit der Bezeichnung für das Interface. Diese Dateien haben entweder eine Dateiendung auf.can oder.fwp Sollten Sie noch kein registrierter Kunde von Dietz sein oder noch keine Log- In Daten für unsere Homepage haben, können Sie sich die Daten per Mail oder telefonisch geben lassen. Halten Sie bei Rückfragen Ihre Kundennummer oder aber Ihre Adress- oder Händlerdaten bereit. Unsere Homepage lautet: Dort können Sie sich dann mit Ihrer adresse und dem erhaltenen Passwort anmelden. 12 Starten Sie nun die Programmiersoftware von Paser. Nach dem Start des Programms öffnet sich ein Fenster mit einigen Auswahlmöglichkeiten. Gehen Sie nun auf den Reiter ganz rechts Paser Updater die anderen Einstellungen oder Reiter sind für ein Update der Interface Software nicht relevant. Nachdem Sie auf den Reiter gedrückt haben, verändert sich die Ansicht. In dem neuen Fenster wird die eigentliche Programmierung vorgenommen. 15 Der Fortschritt des Updates wird optisch mit einem grünen Balken dargestellt. Dies kann bis zu fünf Minuten dauern. Nach Erfolgreichen Update wird Ihnen die Meldung angezeigt. Wenn Sie keine weitere Einstellung vornehmen wollen, können Sie das Interface abziehen oder aber den Softwarestand kontrollieren. 16 Options- und Signaleinstellungen Zusätzlich zum Update der Interfacesoftware ist es möglich mit dem Updater auch Funktionen oder Optionen der CAN-Bus Interfaces zu ändern oder einzustellen. Dies kann Ihnen bei der Installation im Fahrzeug Zeit ersparen. Dies beinhaltet das Einstellen der Ausgangssignale wie Zündung, Beleuchtung, Geschwindigkeitssignal, usw Sowie die Möglichkeit, dass Sie die Lenkradfernbedienung zu Ihrem Fahrzeug und dem von Ihnen vorgesehenen Radio vorab einstellen. Auf dem Startbildschirm haben Sie als erstes die Möglichkeit das Interface auszuwählen bei dem Sie Änderungen vornehmen wollen. Dies müssen Sie manuell auswählen, da eine automatische Erkennung des Interfaces zur Zeit noch nicht möglich ist. Wenn Sie die Auswahl getroffen haben drücken Sie mit der Maus auf die Reiterkarte des Interfaces. Das Bild wechselt zu den Optionen die für dieses Interface zur Auswahl zur Verfügung stehen. 17 Auslesen des Interface Als erstes lesen Sie die Informationen von dem Interface aus. Dies machen Sie indem Sie auf die Read Taste drücken. Nach einem Moment wird die Software das Interface auslesen und die wichtigsten Daten anzeigen. Dies beinhaltet den verwendeten Mikrokontroller die Version der Firmware, eingestelltes Fahrzeug, Radio und Optionen der Ausgänge. Sollten Sie beim Auslesen des Interface eine Fehlermeldung erhalten : Betätigen Sie im angeschlossenen Zustand für 5 Sekunden den Resetknopf des CAN-Bus Interface und wiederholen Sie den Auslesevorgang. 18 Optionseinstellungen Je nach Interface können Sie mehrere Einstellungen vornehmen. Fahrzeugauswahl Optionsauswahl Radioauswahl Wenn Sie die Einstellungen für Ihr Fahrzeug, Radio und den Optionen getroffen haben, drücken Sie auf Send. Das CAN-Bus Interface wird dann mit den von Ihnen gewählten Optionen voreingestellt. Nach Bestätigung des Updates können Sie das Interface abstecken und dann im Fahrzeug verbauen. 19 Beispiel einer Programmierung Wenn Sie nun ein Interface, zum Beispiel ein für Opel updaten und Einstellen wollen gehen Sie wie folgt vor. 1. Sie sehen in die Funktionstabelle der Seite 20 und suchen die zu verwendenden Updater und Kabel aus. Stellen Sie dann wie angegeben die Schalter am Updater ein. 2. In diesem Fall wählen Sie den Updater und stellen den Selector auf die linke Position. 3. Dann nehmen Sie, wie angegeben das Kabel mit der Endung PA11 ( diese befindet sich am Kabel ) und nehmen den zusätzlichen Adapter CBL0392CUN Verbinden Sie nun das Kabel PA11 mit dem Updater auf den linken Steckplatz sowie den Adapter für das Interface. 5. Nun öffnen Sie wie beschrieben die Update-SW. 6. Wählen Sie nun den Reiter Unico Dual aus. Und drücken Sie auf Read 7. Nach dem Auslesen sehen Sie die aktuellen Informationen und Einstellungen an dem Interface. Die Firmware Version gibt Ihnen die Aktuell installierte SW an. 8. Zum Update des Interface gehen Sie nun auf den Reiter Paser Updater 9. Über die Taste Laden der Datei wählen Sie die SW aus die Sie zum Update des Interface benötigen. 10. Haben Sie die richtige Software ausgewählt wird das Feld Starte das Programm sichtbar und kann verwendet werden. 11. Nachdem das Update durchgeführt wurde drücken Sie unter dem Reiter Unico Dual wieder auf Auslesen, um zu kontrollieren, ob das Update aufgespielt wurde. Dies können Sie dann bei Firmware Version nachsehen. 12. Nun können Sie die Einstellungen die Sie benötigen auswählen. Mit einem klick auf Schreiben werden die Einstellungen am Interface übernommen. 13. Kontrollieren Sie die Einstellungen mit einem erneuten Auslesen des Interface. 14. 25 Requirements for operation of the CAN-bus updater To use the Updater you need a PC or Notebook with a Microsoft operating system. It must have at least a free content of space of min. 10 MB. Also you need a free USB 2.0 or 3.0 port.. To use the updater to download the operating system of the updater or the newest update file you need a connection through the Internet. 26 SW Installation on your PC Don t connect the Updater before the installation of the uptader software is finished. You can download the latest version of the operating software from the Dietz- Homepage. You can find the software on the download section of the registered user. After the download is finished start the installation with a double click on the SW-Icon. After you start the installation hit next and follow the next steps. After that you will be ask for the folder were you want to install the software. You can use the shown folder or you can change the folder to which you want to install it. 27 While the installation is running you will see a new mirror with a loading bar. It will show you the progress of the installation. If you use a security software is it may be necessary that you must agree the installation of the software. If you have not the permission please ask your administrator. After Installation hit the close button the operating software of the updater is now installed on your system. After installation you will find the software on your startmenu with the indication Paser Read Write Ver. To this point you can start the operating software every time with a connected updater. 28 Connecting the updater After installation connect the updater with the attached USB-Cable through the PC. Don t use any other cable than those specified from us. Other side ist possible that you can damage the Updater. The shown 12V plug is not needed! Normally the 12V power plug is covered. If not close the plug with a tape or ignore the plug. The plug is not required to update any interface. After you plug in the USB-Cable through the updater and to the PC your PC will recognize a new hardware. After this procedure you can start the operating software from Paser. Note : It is possible that your PC operating system can not detect the updater automatically. 29 Be sure that all the shown switches and indicators are on the right position for the first usage. This LED must shine green after connecting through the PC and the PC is powered. If the programmer is working the LED is yellow flashing. The switch for termination must be set always through the left side. You must set the Selector to the right side. Every interface use a special setting. For two wire CAN you must set the Selector to the right side. For interfaces with GM-CAN or 1 wire CAN you must set it to the left side. 30 Interface Update First be sure which Interface you have and you want to update. You can find the part number on the top label of the Interface. ( z.b / or Unico Dual / Slimkey usw.) On our homepage you can find the newest software for your interfaces. You must log into the registered customer side. There you can find the download files. Take your software and store it on your PC. Take care that you store it with the right filename. The files have the extension can or fwp. If you have the right interface for this updater connect the interface with the cable which was delivered with the interface. Its possible that you must open the housing oft he interface to connect the cable to through the interface. Its only one small cross screw on the backside. (z.b ) Watch out! Dont lay down the interface at any electrically conductive part. The interface or programmer can be damaged if you connect the Interface through the updater or if you start the upgrade or programming. Now press for 5 seconds the reset button on the interface. After that the indicator of the interface must flashing red. If you have no log in informations you can get these informations via mail or phone from our employee. 31 Start the operating software for the updater. After you start the software a new window pop up with some selection possibility`s. Change to the option Paser Updater all other settings or options are not needed to update any interface. On the new screen you can now update your interface in a few steps. 35 Set Options and Settings Additionally it is possible to change Options or Settings of the Intefaces. This can help you to save time by installing the Interface into the car. This includes the outgoing signals like ignition, illumination, speed signal and so on. Also you can set in advance the steering wheel control in combination of the used car and the Radio you want to use. First you have to select the Interface you want to change the settings. You must set it manually because the software cant detect it automatic at this time. If you know which interface you have click on the card on top of the menu the screen will change through the possible options and settings you can use. 36 Read the Interface First you should read out the interface. You can do this if you hit the Read button. After some seconds the software read out all important informations of the connected interface. It will show you all details on the screen like the used CPU or the installed software or the chosen settings. If you get an error message by reading out the interface : Press the reset button on the interface while the interface is connected. The indicator should flash red after that. 37 Option settings The possible options and settings can be different from the chosen Interface. Set Car Special Options Set Radio If you have chosen the option of the car, radio and options hit the Send button. The Interface will now be programmed with the Settings you have set to the software. 38 Example how to programm an interface If you want to upgrade or to change some settings for example with a do the following steps below. 1. Look at the updater and setting table at page 40. Take the cable and updater which are named there. Set the switches as shown. 2. In this case take the Updater and change the Selector to the left position. 3. Take the cable you need. In that case with the ending PA11( you will find the number on the cable lable ) and also take the adaptor CBL0392CUN Now connect the cable PA11 with the Updater on the left position. After that use the adaptor CBL0392CUN11 to connect the Interface with the PA Start now the Updater SW. 6. Take now the Unico Dual setting and press on the Read button. 7. After the read out is finished you can see the SW-Version and the chosen settings. 8. To update the Interface take the Paser Updater in the header. 9. With the button Load file you can chose the file you need to update the interface. 10. After you chose the SW the button Start programming is visible. Hit the button and wait for the Update. 11. After the update is finished press again the Unico Dual button and use again the Read function to control the update. 12. Now you can change the settings oft he unit. With one hit on the writ button all settings will be accepted from the Interface. 13. With the read button you can check again the accepted settings. 14. Take the interface and build it into the car.
