In der Vorfreude auf spannende und faire Wettkämpfe und das enorme Zusammengehörigkeitsgefühl von Fans, Athleten/innen und Trainern, steht die Weltcup-Saison 2014 ganz im Zeichen der Olympischen Winterspiele. Die Anstrengungen zu sportlichen Höchstleistungen sind deshalb bestimmt noch größer, das Ziel Olympia in Sochi ist greifbar nah. Die Elite des Biathlonsports sorgt gewiss auch dieses Jahr für sportliche Höhepunkte und spannende Wettkämpfe. Die Chiemgau-Arena wird in der Weltcupwoche der Mittelpunkt des Wintersports und eine Vielzahl von Medien wird weltweit berichten. Hauptgebäude 2. IBU Media Information System (MIS) Den registrierten Medienvertretern steht das IBU Media Information System (MIS) zur Verfügung. All jene, die bereits im IBU Media Online System registriert sind, können sich beim Event-Media-Info-System für die Weltcupveranstaltung anmelden. Das Login ins System erfolgt via: mit dem für die Medien-Online-Registrierung verwendeten Benutzernamen und Passwort. Foto-Briefing Das Fotobriefing mit Zuteilung der Leibchen durch den Fotomanager findet am Mittwoch, um 11:30 Uhr statt. Fotografenleibchen Alle Fotografen sind verpflichtet, im Wettkampfbereich Fotoleibchen zu tragen. Diese Leibchen sind im Medienzentrum am Help Desk erhältlich. Es gibt zwei unterschiedliche Leibchen: eines ist für die allgemein akkreditierten Fotografen vorgesehen, das andere für Fotografen, die Zutritt zu speziellen Sperrbereichen haben. Für die Leibchen ist ein Pfand von 20 Euro zu hinterlegen

7 Pressekonferenzen Eine Pressekonferenz mit den drei Erstplatzierten (bei der Staffel 4 Athleten 1. Platz und 2 Athleten Plätze 2. und 3.) findet nach jedem Wettkampf im Pressezentrum statt. Die Pressekonferenzen werden akustisch vertont, damit Sie bequem auf Ihren Plätzen sitzen bleiben können. Die Pressekonferenz des Organisationskomitee findet am Mittwoch, um 11:00 Uhr statt. News-Service Aktuelle News werden auf unserer Homepage veröffentlicht. WC 2014 Zeitung Arena News Es wird täglich die Zeitschrift Arena News mit aktuellen Berichten und Bildern zum Wettkampfgeschehen und Rahmenprogramm erscheinen. Verpflegung Im Hauptgebäude im 2. Stock (direkt über dem Pressezentrum) werden Sie wie gewohnt bestens verpflegt. Es stehen ständig kalte und warme Getränke, kleine Snacks, Kuchen und Obst zur Verfügung. With great anticipation, we are looking forward to an exciting and fair competition and a powerful feeling of unity between fans, athletes and coaches in the World Cup Season 2014 under the auspices of the Olympic Winter Games. The athletes are sure to redouble their efforts to achieve the highest possible performance with the goal the Olympic Games in Sochi within their grasp. The Competition Office is located at the Chiemgau Arena on the ground floor of the main building. The Competition Office is open from January 5 th 2014 onwards from 8am to 6pm. Please note that the submission of an application for accreditation does not represent an automatic issuance of accreditation. Only a written confirmation stating, Your application for accreditation was accepted by the IBU and the Organizing Committee, from the IBU and the Organizing Committee allows you to be accredited. Please bring this confirmation with you to the Accreditations Bureau upon your arrival. The Organizing Committee does not accept any responsibility for processing your application without your written confirmation. A parking permit for the Chiemgau Arena which authorizes the holder to park in the designated media parking spots can be issued in individual cases. This special parking permit also functions as an access permit allowing the holder to use the access road to the stadium, which is otherwise temporarily closed to use on competition days. Bus transfer to the Chiemgau Arena The shuttle buses travel regularly between the train station (village center) and the Chiemgau Arena. All media representatives who already registered for the IBU Media Online System can register for the Event Media Info System for the World Cup event. Please use your Media Online System user name and password to log on to the system at Photographer briefing We recommend that media representatives and photographers attend the photographer briefing held by the IBU Communication Director and Photo Manager on Wednesday, Jan 8th 2014 at 11:30. Photographer bibs ENGLISH All photographers are required to wear photographer bibs in the competition area. These bibs can be obtained at the Help Desk in the Media Center. There are two different types of bibs. One is for generally accredited photographers, the other for photographers with access to restricted areas. A deposit of 20 is required per bib

11 Press Conferences After each competition a press conference with the top three athletes will be held at the Media Center (for relay competitions: 4 athletes for the winning team and 2 athletes each for the second and third teams). The press conferences will be amplified, so that you will be able to remain comfortably seated. The press conference of the Organizing Committee will be held on Wednesday, Jan 8th 2014 at 11:00. News Service Current news will be published on our homepage at WC 2013 Arena News Magazine The Arena News Magazine with current news and photos from competition events and the general events program will be published daily. Catering As usual, you will find excellent food and drinks on the second floor of the main building (directly above the Media Center). Cold and hot drinks, small snacks, cakes and fruit will be available to you at all times. Every day we offer you a hot lunch buffet from 11 am to 2 pm.
