5 1. Algemene beschrijving & technische gegevens 1.1. Leveringsomvang In de verpakking treft u de volgende zaken aan: - Manual - Windsensor S Aansluitkabel 15 Meter Controleer of de bovengenoemde items allemaal aanwezig zijn. Wanneer een van deze items ontbreekt adviseren wij u direct contact op te nemen met uw verkooppunt. Lees voor het installeren van de S-130 deze manual aandachtig door. Tevens adviseren wij u ook de manuals van de aangesloten apparatuur aandachtig door te lezen Beschrijving van meegeleverde items Manual Hierin zijn de leert u de functionaliteit van de S-130 alsmede hoe u deze dient aan te sluiten Windsensor S Voedingsspanning: 10-14V DC. - Stroomopname: minder dan 500mA. - De S-130 windsensor geeft de volgende signalen af: Relatieve windrichting Relatieve windsnelheid Absolute windrichting Absolute windsnelheid Buitentemperatuur Luchtdruk Snelheid over grond Kabel Deze kabel dient om de windsensor aan te sluiten op enig randapparaat. De connector kunt u rechtstreeks op de S-130 aansluiten, de andere zijde kan in het randapparaat worden aangesloten. De voeding wordt via deze kabel aangesloten. 6 2. Installatie voorschrift 2.1. Montage De S-130 windsensor geeft informatie weer over windrichting en windsnelheid, alsmede informatie over werkelijke windrichting en windsnelheid. Dit doordat de S-130 een ingebouwde GPS ontvanger heeft om de werkelijke windrichting en windsnelheid te bepalen. Derhalve dient de sensor dusdanig geplaatst te worden dat deze geen hinder ondervindt van nabij geplaatste objecten. Masten en schoorstenen van het schip kunnen de winstroming beïnvloeden of het zicht ontnemen naar de GPS satellieten. De sensor dient op een zo hoog mogelijk plaats te worden gemonteerd, tenminste 50 centimeter boven het stuurhuis. Op de connector van de sensor zit een nokje, dit dient evenwijdig aan het schip naar de voorzijde toe te wijzen. Tevens dient de sensor evenwijdig aan het aardoppervlak te worden geplaatst, wanneer men dit niet in acht neemt kan een juiste werking van de sensor niet worden gegarandeerd. Bij montage mag men alleen aan het onderste deel, onder de blauwe rand, het systeem vast zetten. Handvast is hier voldoende. Wanneer men aan het bovenste deel van de behuizing zal draaien kan het apparaat intern beschadigen, wat resulteert in een niet juiste weergave of een niet werkende sensor. Houdt u er ten alle tijden rekening mee dat de wind sensor op tenminste 1 meter afstand wordt geplaatst van de eventueel aanwezige INMARSAT antenne. Tevens dient u er voor te zorgen dat er voldoende afstand zal zijn tussen de windsensor en enige zendantennes. De S-130 dient vrij van enig vuil en stof te blijven, elke oneffenheid op het meetoppervlak resulteert in een afwijking van de meetwaarde. Page 6 of 17 Subject: S-130 Wind Sensor - Manual

7 3. Aansluitingen 3.1. Elektrische aansluitingen S-130 De bij de sensor geleverde kabel dient om de sensor aan te sluiten op enig randapparaat. De connector zijde van de kabel kunt u rechtstreeks aansluiten op de windsensor. De ader zijde van de kabel kunnen verbonden worden met een Falcon D-1000 zichtinstrument of een MultiHUB. Aderkleuren en betekenis: Wit NMEA uit + Blauw NMEA uit - Rood V DC Zwart 0V De sensor dient via een separate voeding te worden gevoed, indien u de sensor op een MultiHUB wenst aan te sluiten kunt u gebruik maken van de 12V voedingsuitgang van de MultiHUB. 8 1. General information & technical data 1.1. Scope of delivery Within the box the following contents could be found: - Manual - Wind sensor S Connection cable 15 meter Make sure all of the above items are present. In case of an incomplete delivery, please contact your dealer as soon as possible. Before installation of the S-130 we advise you to carefully read this instruction manual as well as all other manuals which come with the additional equipment connected to this sensor Description supplied items Manual Within this manual you will learn the functions and how to connect and install the S-130 wind sensor Wind sensor S Supply voltage: 10-14V DC. - Current consumption: less than 500mA. - The S-130 wind sensor sends the following signals: Relative wind direction Relative wind speed True wind direction True wind speed Outside temperature Air pressure Groundspeed Cable By means of this cable you can connect the sensor to any peripheral, the connector can be connected directly onto the S-130, the other side of the cable is connected to the peripheral. 9 2. Installation instructions 2.1. Mounting instruction The S-130 wind sensor supplies information about wind speed and direction, as well as information about true wind speed and direction. This because the S-130 wind sensor has a build in GPS receiver, to calculate true wind speed and direction. This results in a specific placement of the sensor, so the operating of the sensor will not be hindered by nearby constructions. Masts and chimneys of vessels can interfere with the wind flow or can disrupt the view to any GPS satellite. The S-130 wind sensor has to be placed as high as possible on the vessel, with a minimum distance above the wheelhouse of 50 centimeters. At the same time you have to make sure the S-130 is placed parallel to the earth s surface. There is an alignment tab on the connector and on the sensor, make sure that these point forward towards the bow and parallel to the centerline. When above mentioned directions are not followed an optimal working of the sensor cannot be guaranteed. It is only allowed to mount the sensor by turning onto the bottom piece of the housing, under the blue edge. Hand-tight mounting is sufficient. When mounting is done by the upper piece of the housing the sensor can be damaged internally, which can result in incorrect read-outs or a non functioning sensor. Please note that the sensor has to be placed at least 1 meter from any present INMARSAT antennas. And make sure there is sufficient distance between the sensor and any transmitting antennas. The S-130 wind sensor has to remain free of any dirt and dust, any roughness on the measuring surface will result in an incorrect measurement. Page 9 of 17 Subject: S-130 Wind Sensor - Manual

10 3. Connections 3.1. Electrical connections S-130 The included cable should be used to connect the wind sensor to any peripheral. The connector can be connected right to the wind sensor. The conductors can be directly connected to a Falcon D-1000 display or a MultiHUB. Conductors and description: White NMEA out + Blue NMEA out - Red V DC Black 0V The sensor has to connected to a separate power supply, when you will connect the sensor to a MultiHUB you can use the 12V power supply output of the MultiHUB. Vor der Installation der S-130 lesen Sie sorgfältig dieses Handbuch und die Handbücher der zusätzlichen Ausrüstung im Zusammenhang mit diesem. Der Connector können Sie direkt mit der S-130 verbinden, die andere Seite können Sie mit dem Peripheriegerät verbinden. Die Stromversorgung wird durch diese Kabel verbunden. 12 2. Installationsvorschrift 2.1. Montage Die S-130 Wind-Sensor liefert Informationen über Windrichtung und Windgeschwindigkeit und auch Informationen über aktuelle Windrichtung und aktuelle Windgeschwindigkeit. Dies, weil die S-130 einen eingebauten GPS- Empfänger hat um die tatsächliche Windrichtung und Windgeschwindigkeit festzustellen. Der Sensor soll so platziert werden dass sie nicht mit nahe gelegener Gegenstände stören. Masten und Schornsteine des Schiffes können die Windstrohm beeinträchtigen oder den Anblick auf die GPS-Satelliten stören. Der Sensor soll auf dem höchstmöglichen Stelle angebracht werden. Mindestens 50 Zentimeter über dem Steuerhaus. Auch soll die Sensor parallel zur Oberfläche gebracht werden, wenn es nicht gelingt, kann ein reibungsloses Funktionieren des Sensors nicht garantiert werden. Auf dem Anschluss des Sensors ist eine Sperrklinke, dies soll parallel zum Schiff an der Front zeigen. Bei Montage darf man, nur auf den unteren Teil, unter dem blauen Rand, das System sicheren. Hand fest genügt hier. Wenn der obere Teil des Gehäuses wird gedreht kann das Gerät intern beschädigen, was resultiert in einer falsche Anzeige oder einem defekte Sensor. Bitte beachten Sie, dass Sie jederzeit die Wind-Sensor mindestens auf 1 Meter Abstand von jedem anderen INMARSAT Antenne platzieren. Sie müssen auch sicherstellen, dass es einen ausreichend Abstand zwischen der Wind-Sensor und Antennen gibt. Die S-130 sollte von Schmutz und Staub frei bleiben, jeder Oberflächenrauheit resultiert in einer Abweichung der gemessenen Wert. Page 12 of 17 Subject: S-130 Wind Sensor - Manual

13 3. Anschlüsse 3.1. Elektrische Anschlüsse S-130 Das Kabel (mit dem Sensor geliefert) ist um mit Peripheriegeräte zu verbinden. Der Stecker Seite des Kabels können Sie mit der Wind-Sensor verbinden. Die Vene Seite des Kabels kann zu einer Falcon 1000 D-Vision Instrument oder MultiHUB verbunden werden. Vene Farben und Bedeutungen: Weiß: NMEA out + Blau: NMEA out -- Rot: V DC Schwarz: 0V Der Sensor soll eine separate Stromversorgung haben, wenn Sie der Sensor auf einem MultiHUB verbinden wollen können Sie die 12V Leistung von der MultiHUB verwenden.
