Das Resultat dieses Projektes ist eine Gesamtlösung für die Trainingssituation, die vollständig in eine E-Learning Plattform integriert wird, und den Zugang zu einem Lern-Übersichtssystem und zu einer online Fragen Datenbank enthält. Außerdem enthalten sind 15 Lehrbücher in Farbe und Computer-gestütztes Ausbildungsmaterial. In 2008, the Joint Aviation Authorities representing the civil aviation regulatory authorities of a number of European states, introduced a new common training syllabus for the training of helicopter pilots. Whilst the corresponding common European syllabus for the training of pilots for fixed wing aircraft was introduced already in 1988 (and proper training material and systems has been developed) the common European helicopter syllabus has been lagging behind and only started coming into force in There has been a lack of adequate training material and systems to support the new training syllabus for helicopters. Due to the fact that the helicopter industry is remarkably smaller than the fixed wing industry and that pilot training is not part of the public education system, the flight training organisations that perform the initial training of helicopter pilots suffer from lack of resources to adapt, revise, and develop proper training material and training systems. The quality of the training has a distinct impact on flight safety. The four participating partner organisations together form a strong entity with qualified and experienced human resources: Nordian is a well known developer of aviation training systems which traces its roots back to the government funded National Flight Academy of Norway; London Metropolitan University is one of the foremost providers of professional theoretical and synthetic pilot training in England; Top Fly is a well known high quality flight training organisation in Spain certified to ISO 9001 standard and is authorised as a Helicopter Pilot Training Centre; AgustaWestland is, apart from being a helicopter manufacturer, also an established provider of professional training services and solutions to a wide range of military and civil customers around the world; and finally European Helicopter Center is a well-established and respected provider of professional and private helicopter pilot training, both practical and theoretical. Most helicopter flight training organisations have marginal resources, and the project output will help them to quickly adapt to the new training syllabus, to improve flight safety and to improve their competitive position in relation to the non European helicopter training market. Beschreibung: In 1996, prior to the introduction of the new syllabus for fixed wing aircraft, the applicant organisation and one of the partners developed a standardised training solution to be used all over Europe, consisting of books, Computer-Based Training (CBT) and study guides. The output of the project is now in use by flight training organisations in Norway, Sweden, England, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Turkey, Denmark, Poland, Estonia, Finland, UAE and Serbia, and is continuously updated. The aim and objectives of this new project has been to offer an equivalent standardised training solution for the training of professional helicopter pilots in Europe by adapting the output of the previous project. The new project has made use of new technology by adapting an optional distance learning feature to enhance the dissemination and exploitation of the outcome. Out of the existing 15 fixed wing text books, 12 books have be modified to some extent, and 3 books completely rewritten, to comply with the new syllabus. The existing CBT and Study Guides have been adapted to the helicopter syllabus and 2
