Anschluss externer Geräte Über ein zusätzliches Kabel können an den Timeboy auch andere Geräte mit einer seriellen Schnittstelle angeschlossen werden. Diese Daten werden dann ebenso wie die direkten Eingaben in einem Datensatz dokumentiert. Somit steht sofort die kpl. Bedienung mit Display sowie die Datenspeicherung und Datenübertragung für andere Geräte zur Verfügung, die diese Möglichkeiten selbst nicht haben. Auch Geräte, die sich schon im Markt befinden, können so aufgerüstet werden. Hierzu sind ggf. Anpassungen in der Firmware des Timeboy notwendig. Solche Umsetzungen gibt es bereits für 2 verschiedene Geräte. Der Anschluss anderer Schnittstellen oder der direkte Anschluss von Sensoren muss im Einzelfall geprüft werden. Folie: 8

Datenübertragung, Akkubetrieb Die Akkus des Timeboy werden in der Dockingstation geladen. (3 x NiMH AAA) Die Dockingstation dient auch zur Datenübertragung zum PC. Die Dockingstation kann über RS232 oder RS485 angeschlossen werden. Es gibt auch Mehrfachstationen für bis zu 10 Timeboys. Über externe Comserver kann die Dockingstation auch an TCP/IP angeschlossen werden. Über Funk können die Timeboys auch ohne Dockingstation ausgelesen werden. Für Funk wird ein Funkumsetzer am PC benötigt. Folie: 10

Datenablage, Einbindung EDV mit Datafox Talk Die Daten werden im internen Speicher des Timeboy gesammelt. Die Übertragung erfolgt über Funk oder die Dockingstation. Für Tests können die Daten mit dem Setupprogramm ausgelesen werden. Für den Anwender gibt es die Software Datafox Talk. Damit werden die Daten als ASCII oder in verschiedenen Datenbankformaten abgelegt. Zur Einbindung in eine Kundensoftware stellen wir kostenlos eine DLL zur Verfügung. Folie: 12

With fixed correlation of a Timeboy and an operator the operator number can be stored automatically. Lists for selection can be stored in the Timeboy. Inputs can be checked against lists. Timeboy for blood transfusion Connection of external devices With an additional cable the Timeboy can also be connected to other external devices with a serial interface. The data of these devices can be stored and documented in data records the same way as the bar codes and data of the Timeboy. That means you can upgrade other devices and machines with the possibilities of data collection, data transfer and the operation with keyboard and colored display if those devices haven t this possibility by themselves. Even older devices that are already in the market can be upgraded this way. For these applications it may be necessary that the firmware of the Timeboy is adapted to the special device. We have already implemented this connection for two devices. The connection of other interfaces or the direct connection of special sensors must be checked in special cases. Folie: 21

Timeboy for blood transfusion Data transfer, battery powered operation The batteries of the Timeboy are charged with the docking station. (3 x NiMH AAA) The docking station is also used for the communication with the PC. The docking station can be connected with RS 232 or RS 485. Docking station are available for up to 10 Timeboys. With external com servers the docking station can be connected to TCP/IP. With radio transmission the Timeboys can also communicate without a docking station. For wireless transmission a wireless transducer for the PC is necessary. Folie: 23

Up to 25 data fields are possible within one input chain. Up to 20 lists with data can be transferred into a Timeboy. Various checking of inputs is possible. Folie: 24
Timeboy for blood transfusion Data storage, connection to IT with Datafox Talk Data is stored in the internal memory of the Timeboy. Data transfer takes place with the docking station or wireless. For tests data can be read out with the setup program. For the user the software Datafox Talk can be used.
