Qualifikationsziele der Lehrveranstaltung: - Gain an understanding of various consulting frameworks and especially of the FOCUS framework - Get introduced to the design of different workshops, learn the key aspects of facillitation and practice various workshop techniques inc. Scenario workshops - Gain an understanding of process modeling and practice the technique in one team project - Understand the operational aspects of consulting inc. selling and delivery; review different types of consulting engagements
- Review the key articles associated with the theory and applications of business models - Learn to understand and analyze different innovative business models including Zipcar, MyTaxi and others; practice the concepts in a 2nd team project Inhalte der Lehrveranstaltung: Consulting offeres a very interesting and challenging career path. The course will help the participants to better understand the concepts associated with consulting including key frameworks, tools and techniques. On the other hand, consulting concepts can also be applied in everydays managment activities like analysis of business opportunities, preparation of managment presentations, driving process improvements, etc. These practical aspects will also be covered in the course. In addition, the course will introduce the participants to the concept of busienss models which are used to describe the ideas and value propositions of businesses and assessing their chances to be successful. Students will learn to analyze and evaluate business models. This module also includes a lecture and case study on innovation.
