Inzwischen ist der Einsatz von LEDs im modern gestalteten Wohnraum nicht mehr wegzudenken und die Anwendungsmöglichkeiten nehmen täglich zu. Die neue Technik revolutioniert dabei den Leuchtenmarkt und macht es für Hersteller und Käufer hochwertiger, innovativer Leuchten erforderlich, sich mit dieser Entwicklung auseinanderzusetzen: Lichtfarbe / Farbtemperatur Die richtige Farbtemperatur ist bei der LED-Technik ebenso wichtig, wie der themenverwandte Weißabgleich bei der Digitalfotografie. Der thematische Hintergrund ist letztendlich identisch und lässt sich am ehesten durch die Beobachtung der Natur erklären. Das Sonnenlicht wird durch unterschiedliche Faktoren beeinflusst, so ist bspw. bei einem Sonnenuntergang ein wesentlich wärmerer Farbton als bei strahlender Mittagssonne wahrzunehmen. Die Farbtemperatur wird in Kelvin (K) gemessen - je größer der Wert, desto kälter (blauer) ist das Licht. Man spricht demnach von warmem und kaltem Licht. Was in der Natur als angenehm empfunden wird, deckt sich jedoch in der Regel nicht mit den Bedürfnissen im privaten Wohnbereich. Kaltes Licht (ab ca. 5.400K) wird im Wohnbereich als unangenehm empfunden. Dahingegen wirken warme 2.700-3.000K als die richtige Wohlfühlfarbtemperatur. Allerdings gibt es durchaus Anwendungsbereiche (z.b. im Büro oder im Lebensmittelhandel), bei denen ganz andere Farbtemperaturen erwünscht bzw. notwendig sind. Die Bezeichnungen für Lichtfarben mit entsprechender Kelvinzahl sind in nachfolgender Tabelle ablesbar. LED technology Until now, the progress of LED technology hasn t slowed down any. By now, it s hard to imagine modern residential applications without any LEDs, and the opportunities to use them effectively increase day by day. The new technology revolutionises the luminaire market and requires manufacturers and buyers of top-quality, innovative luminaires alike to confront this development constructively. Light colour / olour temperature In LED technology, the right colour temperature is just as important as the related white balancing in digital photography. In the end, the thematic background is virtually identical and can be most easily explained by observations in nature. Sunlight is affected by a number of different factors, for example a sunset is perceived as a much warmer colour hue than the clear and bright midday sun. The colour temperature is measured in Kelvin (K), the higher the number, the colder (bluer) the light. We therefore speak of warm and cold light, respectively. Whatever is perceived in nature as being comfortable does not necessarily match the perceptions and needs in our private living quarters. old light (starting at 5,400 K) is generally perceived as being uncomfortable whereas the warm 2,700 to 3,000 K are seen as the right comfort temperature. However, there are also certain application areas (such as the office or food sections at the grocery store) where entirely different colour temperatures are desired or needed. Die Glühlampe hat bei 2700 Kelvin den Farbwiedergabeindex oder olour Rendering Index (RI) von 100. Hochwertige LEDs erreichen derzeit Werte zwischen 80 und 97 (RI). Je nach Anwendung (z.b. Bilderbeleuchtung, Präsentation von Lebensmitteln) ist ein hoher Farbwiedergabeindex zwingend erforderlich. olour Rendering Index All lamp technologies (such as light bulbs, fluorescent or halogen lamps) have different qualities regarding their colour rendering. It means that not all types of lighting are capable of rendering the colours in the same quality. An incandescent lamp at 2,700 Kelvin has a olour Rendering Index (RI) of 100. A top-quality LED currently achieves RI values between 80 and 97. Depending on the application itself (such as illuminating a picture or display of food), a high value of the olour Rendering Index is of absolute necessity. Temperaturmanagement Entgegen der allgemeinen Meinung spielt die Temperatur bei LEDs eine ausgesprochen wichtige Rolle. Obwohl diese bei weitem nicht so heiß wie Glühlampen werden, so ist die Betriebstemperatur doch entscheidend für die Lebensdauer und andere qualitative Faktoren der LED. Eine hochwertige LED-Leuchte verfügt demnach über ein ausgefeiltes Temperaturmanagement. Umfangreiche Prüf- und Entwicklungsverfahren sind insbesondere bei Verwendung von so genannten Highpower-LEDs notwendig, um eine zuverlässige Leuchte zu konzipieren. Temperature management ontrary to popular belief, the temperature of LEDs plays a truly significant role. Even though they do not get as hot as a regular light bulb, the operating temperature is quite significant for the service life and other quality factors of the LED. A top-quality LED luminaire therefore has a sophisticated temperature management system. Extensive testing and development procedures are necessary, especially when using the so-called high-powered LEDs, in order to design a reliable luminaire. Lebensdauer Unter Berücksichtigung des jeweils notwendigen Temperaturmanagements kann bei LEDs von einer mittleren Lebensdauer von bis zu 50.000h ausgegangen werden. Dies entspricht bei einer Betriebsdauer von 8 Stunden pro Tag einer Lebensdauer von 17 Jahren. Aufgrund dessen werden LEDs oftmals fest in die Leuchte verbaut und verfügen nicht über einen Lampensockel, welcher einen Lampenwechsel durch den Nutzer der Leuchte erlauben würde. Dies schlägt sich positiv in der miniaturisierten Bauform einer LED- Leuchte nieder. Neben dem Leuchtendesign beeinflusst je nach LED-Leistung einzig das Thermomanagement die Größe und ggf. die Form der Leuchte. Ähnliches gilt für die neuen LED-Lampen die inzwischen für fast alle gängigen Fassungen zur Verfügung stehen die so genannten Retrofit-LEDs. 10 LED-Retrofit-Lampen Als Retrofit-Lampe wird im Allgemeinen der höherwertige Ersatz (in Bezug auf die Energieeffizienz) für ein bestehendes Leuchtmittel bezeichnet. Insbesondere im Zuge des Glühlampenverbotes haben diese neuen Lampentypen an Bedeutung gewonnen. Grundsätzlich empfiehlt es sich, ausschließlich Qualitätsprodukte namhafter Hersteller zu verwenden. Auf dem Markt werden derzeit viele preiswerte und oftmals minderwertige Produkte angeboten, die aufgrund mangelhafter oder gar fehlender technischer Angaben keinen objektiven Vergleich mit Markenware ermöglichen. Bei allen Produkten gilt, dass Bezeichnungen in Hinblick auf Lichtfarbe, Lebensdauer und Ersatzleistung grundsätzlich als Durchschnittsangaben zu betrachten sind. Insbesondere bei minderwertiger Produktqualität liegen die Toleranzen jedoch oft weit auseinander, da auf eine umfangreiche Kontrolle und Eingrenzung der Produkte zugunsten des Preises verzichtet wird. Dies kann bedeuten, dass ein und dasselbe Produkt unterschiedliche Lichtwirkungen aufweisen kann, was sich vor allem bei einem gleichzeitigen Betrieb mehrerer Lampen (z.b. in einem längeren Flur) negativ bemerkbar macht. Wir empfehlen daher vor einer Retrofit-Umrüstung folgende Punkte zu beachten und diese idealerweise in einem Fachgeschäft im Detail zu klären: 1. Hat die neue Lampe die gleiche Lichtleistung (Lumen), den gleichen Abstrahlwinkel (bei Reflektorlampen), wie das zu ersetzende Modell? 2. Passt die neue Lampenform mechanisch einwandfrei in die vorhandene Leuchte (Leuchtenform, Fassung)? 3. Passen vorhandene Zubehörteile (z.b. Glaskappen oder Zierringe) über die neue Lampe, gibt es eventuell Temperaturprobleme? 4. Werden die vorhandenen Leuchten an einem Dimmer betrieben, ist darauf zu achten, dass die Retrofit-Lampen ebenfalls dimmbar sind. 5. Soll ein Niedervoltsystem umgerüstet werden (z.b. Schiene oder Seil), muss der Transformator ggf. ersetzt werden. 6. LED-Retrofitlampen sind fast immer für den freien Einbau konzipiert. Ein geschlossenes Leuchtengehäuse kann ausreichende Belüftung verhindern. Die LED-Retrofitlampe wird in diesem Falle die angegebene Lebensdauer keinesfalls erreichen. LED Retrofit lamps A retrofit lamp generally describes a better-quality replacement (in terms of energy efficiency) for an existing lamp. Especially in light of the ban on light bulb, these new lamp types are gaining in significance. In general it pays to use quality products of renowned manufacturers exclusively. The market currently offers many cheap and low-quality products which do not allow any meaningful comparison with brand names due to the lack of flawed or detailed technical information. It is true for all products that descriptions in terms of light colour, service life and replacement power should be viewed in general as information on average. Especially in low-quality products, the tolerance span is frequently very wide because extensive quality controls and product review are omitted in favour of cheaper prices. This means that the very same product may have rather different light effects which may have a detrimental effect when operating several lamps simultaneously (for example along a hallway). Our recommendation prior to a retrofit is therefore to watch for the following details and to discuss the details with a professional specialist, if needed: 1. Does the new lamp have the same light power (lumen), the same beam angle (in reflector lamps) as the model to be replaced? 2. Does the new lamp shape fit mechanically and without problems into the existing luminaire (luminaire shape, socket)? 3. Do existing accessories (such as glass covers or decorative rings) fit over the new lamp, or may there be problems with the temperatures? 4. If the existing lamps are operated by dimmer, make sure that the retrofit lamps are also dimmable. 5. In a retrofit of a low-voltage system (on track or cable), check whether or not the transformer needs to be replaced also. 6. LED retrofit lamps are nearly always designed for a free (or unobstructed) installation. An enclosed luminaire housing may prevent sufficient ventilation. If so, the LED retrofit lamps will not be able to reach the stated service life.
LISGO SHORT 11 Effizienz Um die Effizienz einer Lampe zu beschreiben, gibt es eine einfache Einteilung. Je mehr Lumen pro Watt Leistung eine Lampe abstrahlt, desto effizienter wandelt sie die aufgenommene Energie in sichtbares Licht um. Wie für Großgeräte im Haushalt (Kühlschrank, Waschmaschine, etc.) hat die EU daher auch für Lampen eine Kennzeichnungspflicht anhand des Energielabels eingeführt. Mit dessen Hilfe werden Lampen in die verschiedenen Effizienzklassen eingeteilt. Dabei stellt die Klasse G (in der Regel rote Kennzeichnung) die ineffizienteste dar. Bei den darüber liegenden Klassen steigert sich die Effizienz bis hin zur Klasse A (üblicherweise grüner Farbcode), der effizientesten Kategorie bei den Leuchtmitteln. Anders als z.b. bei Kühlschränken gibt es im Moment bei den Lampen keine Klasse die effizienter ist als die Klasse A. Eine Ausnahme stellen Lampen für besondere Verwendungszwecke oder mit besonderen Bauformen (z.b. Reflektorlampen) dar, welche noch nicht anhand des Energielabels bewertet werden. Bei der Diskussion um Energieeffizienz und Umweltbewusstsein darf die eigentliche Wirkung des Lichtes jedoch nicht außer Acht gelassen werden, denn richtiges Licht hat maßgeblichen Einfluss auf das allgemeine Wohlbefinden. Aus diesem Grund ist eine objektive Beratung durch den Experten vor der eigentlichen Umsetzung einer Beleuchtungslösung immer empfehlenswert. Efficiency The efficiency of a lamp can be most easily described by a simple classification. The more power the lamp radiates (in lumen per Watt), the more efficient the lamp is in converting the incoming energy into visible light. Similar to major household appliances (refrigerators, washing machines, etc.), the EU has introduced a mandatory labelling for lamps also by attaching an energy label.
