Anti Reflection Coatings Uncoated glass surfaces reflect about 4-8 % of incident light. Ghost images and stray light reduce image contrast. Anti-reflection coatings minimize reflects. UV cut, color and ND filters come with standard broadband coating (E) for visible spectrum or broadband multilayer resistant coating (MRC for VIS and MRCIR for NIR). They are hydrophobic and withstand mechanical and environmental stress. High end UV-IR Cut, bandpass, longpass and shortpass filters come with our superior ultra reflection coating ULR, ULRIR or MCXL. These coatings have an outstanding low reflection over an extended wavelength range V coatings are available on request; those custom coatings have an extreme low reflex at an optimized wavelength. Especially V-coatings are sensitive to angle of incidence.
