8 Teconyl-Farbstoffe sind ausgewählte Säurefarbstoffe zum Färben von Polyamidfasern. Sie sind in drei Gruppen unterteilt: Teconyl L-Farbstoffe Die Teconyl L-Farbstoffe weisen ein sehr gutes Egalisiervermögen auf und gleichen, besonders in Verbindung mit Alviron CNF, materialbedingte Affinitätsunterschiede weitgehend aus. Ausgesuchte Elemente der Teconyl LGamme ergeben auch in hellen Nuancen sehr hohe Lichtechtheiten und sind deshalb speziell für das Färben von Teppichmaterialien und Polyamidstoffen geeignet. Aufgrund des begrenzten Aufbauvermögens und begrenzter Nassechtheiten in tieferen Farbtönen empfiehlt sich der Einsatz der Teconyl L-Farbstoffe nur bis zu mittleren Farbtiefen. Teconyl N-Farbstoffe Farbstoffe mit ausgeprägtem Neutralzieh- und hohem Aufbauvermögen. Die Färbungen mit Teconyl N-Farbstoffen weisen ein gutes bis sehr gutes Nassechtheitsniveau auf. Aufgrund ihres färberischen Verhaltens speziell empfohlen für dunklere Farbtöne. Teconyl F-Farbstoffe Farbstoffe mit höchstem Nassechtheitsniveau und brillanten Nuancenspektrum. Sie besitzen ein weites Einsatzgebiet, speziell Sport -und Freizeitbekleidung. Auf Grund des färberischen Verhaltens werden diese Farbstoffe vorzugsweise als Selbstfarbstoffe eingesetzt; das Arbeiten mit Trichromien ist wegen gegenseitiger Blockierung nicht zu empfehlen. Die Nassechtheiten der Teconyl-Farbstoffe können durch eine Nachbehandlung mit Sevofix P 2000 verbessert werden. Erklärungen zu den Echtheiten Lichtechtheit: ISO 10 B02 N = Farbtonänderung Wasserechtheit: ISO 10 E01 PA = Anbluten von Polyamid Waschechtheit 0 C: ISO 10 C0 CO = Anbluten von Baumwolle Schweissechtheit: Meerwasser: Chlorbadewasser: ISO 10 E0 ISO 10 E02 ISO 10 E0 Bei der Lichtechtheit beziehen sich die Echtheitswerte auf die angegebenen Standardtiefen (1/12 bzw. 1/1 RTT). Sämtliche Nassechtheiten wurden mit Färbungen in 1/1 RTT geprüft. Teconyl/Tecocid 8

9 Chemikalienempfehlung Losin OCB Wasch-, Reinigungs- und Nassdetachiermittel zur Behandlung aller Faserstoffe und Aufmachungsformen, nichtionogen Lavan JET Äusserst schaumarmes Waschmittel, das besonders für den Einsatz auf Jets für alle Faserarten geeignet ist, nichtionogen Alviron P 9 Egalisiermittel für die Woll- und Polyamidfärberei, anionaktiv Alviron CNF Egalisiermittel für die Polyamidfärberei zum Ausgleichen materialbedingter Streifigkeit, anionaktiv TC-Säurespender SWP Säurespender für das Färben von Polyamid und Wolle, nichtionogen Sevofix P 200 Nachbehandlungsmittel für Polyamid- und Wollfasern zur Erzielung sehr hoher Nass- und Waschechtheiten, anionaktiv Vorbehandlung Polyamidfasern sind üblicherweise mit wasserlöslichen Präparationen versehen, wodurch sich in vielen Fällen eine Vorwäsche erübrigt. Bei anderweitigen Verschmutzungen oder wenn beispielsweise Stückware vor dem Färben fixiert wird, empfiehlt sich eine Vorwäsche mit Losin OCB oder Lavan JET. Im Falle von Stückware wird vielfach kontinuierlich in breitem Zustand gewaschen, gespült und anschliessend fixiert. Lösen der Farbstoffe Die Teconyl-Farbstoffe werden durch Übergiessen mit kochend heissem Wasser und Rühren gelöst. Nötigenfalls kurz mit dem Stechrohr aufkochen. Teconyl/Tecocid 9

10 Färbeverfahren Prinzipiell bieten sich zwei unterschiedliche Methoden an: All-in Methode in schwach saurem bis neutralem ph-bereich Methode mit ph-wert Absenkung (besonders geeignet bei Egalisierproblemen) All-in Methode Bad ansetzen bei 0 0 C mit: 1 % Alviron P 9 und Natriumacetat/Essigsäure (ph 8 je nach Farbtiefe und Farbstoffgruppe) nach guter Durchmischung die vorgelösten Teconyl Farbstoffe zusetzen 10 min laufen lassen mit 1 2 C/min auf Kochtemperatur aufheizen 0 min laufen lassen langsam abkühlen auf 0 70 C Bad ablassen warm und kalt spülen Bemerkungen: Optimale ph-werte beim Färben: Teconyl L Teconyl N / F hell mittel 7 dunkel Die ph-wert Einstellung des Färbebades erfolgt für ph-werte unter vorzugsweise mit einem Gemisch aus Natriumacetat/Essigsaure; höhere ph-werte erreicht man mit einem Gemisch aus Mono- und Dinatriumphosphat, Ammoniak oder Soda. Stabile, leicht saure ph-werte können vorteilhafterweise auch mit TCÖKOSTABIL 100 eingestellt werden. Die Mengen müssen allerdings dem jeweiligen Betriebswasser angepasst werden. Empfohlene Färbetemperaturen: PA : C PA,: bis max. 120 C Methode mit ph-wert Absenkung Bad ansetzen bei 0 0 C mit: 1 2 % Alviron P9 und 0, bis 1, ml/l TC-Säuresprender SWP zusetzen ph-wert 8 9 mit Soda einstellen nach guter Durchmischung die vorgelösten Teconyl Farbstoffe zusetzen 10 min laufen lassen mit 1 2 C/min auf Kochtemperatur aufheizen 0 min laufen lassen langsam abkühlen auf 0 70 C Bad ablassen warm und kalt spülen Bemerkungen: Bei sehr grossen Egalitätsproblemen kann der TC-Säurespender SWP 1 20 min nach Erreichen der Färbetemperatur zugesetzt werden. Echtheitsverbesserung Die Behandlung erfolgt am zweckmässigsten nach gutem Spülen aus einem frischen Bad mit: 2,0,0 % Sevofix P 200 ph-wert einstellen mit Ameisensäure 7 8 C, 20 0 min Teconyl/Tecocid 10

11 Teconyl dyes are selected acid dyes for dyeing polyamide fibres. They are divided into groups: Teconyl L dyes Teconyl L dyes show very good levelling properties and compensate differences in affinity caused by the material to a large extent, especially when combined with Alviron CNF. Defined elements of the Teconyl L range achieve very high light fastness also in pale shades and are therefore suitable for dyeing carpets and upholstery fabrics. Due to their limited build-up behaviour and their limited wet fastness in dark shades, the application of Teconyl L dyes are recommended only up to medium shades. Teconyl N dyes Dyes with a distinct neutral affinity and high build-up behaviour. Dyeings with Teconyl N dyes show good to very good wet fastness rates. Due to their dyeing behaviour they are especially recommended for dark shades. Teconyl F dyes Dyes with highest wet fastness level and brilliant shade spectrum. They are suitable for many fields of application, especially for sports and leisure wear. Due to their dyeing behaviour these dyes are preferably used as single dyestuffs; working with trichromaticities is not recommendable because the dyes would block each other. The wet fastness of Teconyl dyes can be improved by an aftertreatment with Sevofix P Explanation to the fastness Light fastness: ISO 10 B02 N = change of shade Fastness to water: ISO 10 E01 PA = staining of polyamide Wash fastness 0 C: ISO 10 C0 CO = staining of cotton Fastness to perspiration: Sea water: ISO 10 E0 ISO 10 E02 Fastness to chlorinated water: ISO 10 E0 Regarding the light fastness the fastness rates refer to the stated standard depth (1/12 or 1/1 standard depth). All wet fastness rates were tested with dyeings in 1/1 standard depth. Teconyl/Tecocid 11

12 Recommended chemicals Losin OCB Washing, cleaning and wet stain removing agent to treat all kind of fibres and appearances, nonionic Lavan JET Extremely low foaming washing agent, especially suitable for application in jet machines for all kinds of fibres, nonionic Alviron P 9 Levelling agent for wool and polyamide dyeing, anionic Alviron CNF Levelling agent for polyamide dyeing to level out stripiness caused by the material, anionic TC-Säurespender SWP Acid donor for dyeing polyamide and wool, nonionic Sevofix P 200 Aftertreatment agent for polyamide and wool fibres to achieve very high wet and wash fastness rates, anionic Pretreatment Polyamide fibres have usually added watersoluble preparations, thus in many cases prewashing is not necessary anymore. With other soiling or for example if piece goods are set before dyeing, prewashing with Losin OCB or Lavan JET is recommended. Regarding piece goods they are mostly washed continuously in width, then rinsed and subsequently set. Dissolving the dyes Teconyl dyes are dissolved by pouring over boiling hot water and stirring. Where necessary boil with the steam pipe. Teconyl/Tecocid 12

13 Dyeing procedure In principle two different methods are possible: All-in method in weakly acidic to neutral ph range Method with ph value lowering (especially suitable in case of levelling problems) All-in method start bath at 0 0 C with: 1 % Alviron P 9 and sodium acetate/acetic acid (ph 8 depending on the colour depth and on the dyestuff group) after good mixing add the predissolved Teconyl dyes run for 10 min heat at 1-2 C/min up to the dyeing temperature run for - 0 min cool down to 0 70 C drain bath rinse warm and cold Remarks: Optimale ph values when dyeing: Teconyl L Teconyl N / F light medium 7 dark For ph values below the ph value adjustment of the dyeing bath is preferably carried out with a combination of sodium acetate/acetic acid; higher ph values are achieved with a combination of mono and dibasic sodium phosphate, ammonia or soda. With TC-Ökostabil 100 stable, slightly acidic ph values can be adjusted advantageously. But the amounts have to be adjusted to the industrial water on site. Recommended dyeing temperatures: PA : C PA.: up to max. 120 C Method with ph value lowering start bath at 0 0 C with: add 1 2 % Alviron P 9 and 0. up to 1. ml/l TC-Säurespender SWP adjust ph value 8 9 with soda then add the predissolved Teconyl dyestuff run for 10 min heat at 1 2 C/min up to boiling point run for 0 min cool down slowly to 0 70 C drain bath rinse warm and cold Remarks: With big levelling problems add TC-Säurespender SWP 1 20 min after achieving the dyeing temperature. Improvement of the fastness The treatment is carried out most appropriately after good rinsing from a fresh bath with: % Sevofix P 200 adjust ph value with formic acid 7 8 C, 20 0 min Teconyl/Tecocid 1
