28 +M8 M12 With the ever increasing acceptance of Industrial Ethernet and ProfiNet in industrial products, these transmission standards have also found their way into the realms of the sensors, actuators and encoders. As a consequence, interface conversion products from M8 or M12 to the newer RJ45 connector are in demand. The Y-Con series has now been expanded to include industrial quality conversion cables and panel mount connectors. The RJ45 interface is served with the current product range. For the M8 and M12 interfaces, we offer a variety of cable and panel mount connectors in male or female, 90 or 180, coded or uncoded versions. All the M8 / M12 cable products benefit from a 360 shield which is added prior to moulding with high quality PUR material. The milled metal screw collar has an audible closure ratchet and vibration-resistant locking to ensure the interface doesn t open during operation. Male or female versions can be offered in 3, 4, 5 or 8 pin versions and with A, B or D coding. 31 ProfiNet Building on the success of ProfiBus, the ProfiNet transmission standard is set to become one of the most important for industrial automation applications. The Y-Con ProfiNet connector employs piercing contacts, and the plug mating face conforms to the RJ45 standard. It can thereby be used with standard RJ45 jacks and is backwards compatible. 33 Y-Con IEEE Series The plug-and-play FireWire interface (IEEE1394b) is becoming more popular in the industrial sector. Due to its high data rates, the standard is suitable for transferring all data that are relevant in the industrial environment via one medium, including traditional field bus tasks. Temperature resistance is between 10 C and + 70 C. In order to guarantee the connection s industrial compatibility, Yamaichi has provided the plug side with a robust IEEE cable with PUR casing. The standard length of the cable assembly is two metres for both the IP69K and IP20 versions. Other cable lengths and plug combinations are available on request. Eine Plug-and-Play FireWire-Schnittstelle (IEEE1394b) findet inzwischen auch im industriellen Bereich stärkere Verbreitung.
