2 Measurements protocol Type of lamp: LifeLite ION, 26W (26W energy-saving lamp with ioniser) Client: LifeEnergy Systems GmbH 1. The task was to measure the output of negative ions the amount of ozone produced and the amount of dust neutralised and removed from the air in the room on a full-spectrum energy-saving LifeLite lamp with ioniser 2. The high number of ions at both distances should be noted. To all intents and purposes, the illuminant works on pure direct current. There is practically no alternating current present. This is all the more astonishing as the ioniser is extremely compact and for safety reasons cannot be accessed within the spiral housing of the lamp without using tools. However, an extremely high average of 561,377 negative ions occurs in a 25 m² room. Most ionisers do not achieve this level. Test equipment: Ionometer IM 5005 IM 806. See the drop in dust particles when the door of the room was shut in the night and increase of dust particles when the room was re-entered at 9 a.m. the next day. (6/8)

7 hour dust statistics Graph 5 Graph 5 shows the relevant statistical data Assessment The LifeLite ION energy-saving lamp is designed as an illuminant for living rooms. In the centre of the lamp there is an ioniser. Because of the spiral construction, the ioniser is protected insofar as it cannot be touched without using a tool. The given task was to carry out multiple high-resolution short-term measurements of approx. 10 minutes and one long-term measurement of approx. 12 hours. The short-term measurements (graphs 1 2, pages 3 and 4) showed exceedingly constant high values (within the 10 minutes taking the average for each second from 30 measurements per second). iance test report ON 26W V5.DOC (7/8)

8 Graph 3 (page 5) of the long-term measurement speaks for itself: constant high values. Ozone levels The measurements of the ozone levels were carried out in accordance with EN Section 32. No increase in the ozone levels was detected directly by the outlet. Dust PM 10 The quantities of PM 10 dust particles were reduced from 17 µg/m³ to 0 µg/m³. Taking into consideration the fluctuations in the dust diagram, this amounts to a reduction in the amount of dust of almost 100%. Surface temperature The surface temperature of the illuminant being measured was approx. 38 C. Summary On the basis of the results of the measurements I find that the LifeLite ION energy-saving lamp can be relied upon to produce extremely high quantities of ions.
