Siehe TM TAE für autorisierte Wartungsbetriebe. Die Umbaumaßnahmen sind in Verbindung mit folgenden Handbüchern durchzuführen: - AMM-0-0 Cessna 7, TAE Den anwendbaren original Cessna Handbüchern (IPC, Service Manual, Maintenance Manual, etc.). Folgende AltReg/AltReg Loom-Kombinationen sind Voraussetzung für den Umbau: 4V AltReg R E V AltReg R E AltReg Loom R R AltReg Loom R R Sind diese Kombinationen nicht installiert, müssen AltReg, AltReg Loom sowie das AWL Relais, welches sich am Anschluss AWL befindet, ausgebaut werden. Das Altreg kann zur Modifikation an TAE gesendet werden. Der AltReg Loom muss durch ein Neuteil ersetzt werden (siehe obenstehende Tabelle). Das AWL Relais entfällt. Wenn nicht die o.g. Bauteile installiert sind, bitte TAE kontaktieren. ACHTUNG: Bei Cessna 7 R und S ohne G000 wird das AWL Relais nicht eingebaut.. Folgende Arbeiten müssen vor der Modifikation durchgeführt werden: - Cowling entfernen. - Hauptbatterie vom Bordnetz trennen. - Wasserkühler und die Leitungen entfernen, um den Relaisträger zu öffnen. - Pilotensitz, Rücksitz ausbauen. - Fußbodenverkleidung herausnehmen. - Gepäckfach ausbauen. 3 Platanenstrasse 4 Tel: +49 (3704) Fax: +49 (3704) Technische Mitteilung Nr. / Datum: TM TAE , Revision 8 / Service Bulletin No. / Date TM TAE , Revision 8 / October 4, Installation Sicherung für die Excitation Batterie - Excitation Batterie abklemmen. - Leitung 9 positiv (+) Kabelschuh entfernen. - Ein Draht des Sicherungselementes (4, 7) ancrimpen mit einem Stossverbinder (6). - Flachsteckverbinder (5) an der zweiten Seite des Sicherungselementes ancrimpen. - Excitation Batterie wieder anklemmen. - Sicherungselement mit Kabelbinderbefestigung und Kabelbinder auf Batterieabdeckung befestigen. 4. Installation der Sicherheitsbatterie - Sicherheitsbatteriehalter UNTEN () auf dem Shelf-Radio in Flugrichtung rechts installieren. Siehe Cessna IPC. ACHTUNG: Je nach Modell und Ausstattungsvariante ist der Einbauort der Sicherheitsbatterie so auszuwählen, dass Geräte, Steuerleitungen und bewegliche Baugruppen in ihrer Funktion nicht beeinträchtigt werden! - Acht Löcher (bei 4V) und zwölf (bei 8V) in Befestigungsfüße des Batteriehalters UNTEN () bohren. Die Löcher müssen gleichmäßig in bzw. 3 Reihen in Längsrichtung in das Blech gebohrt werden. 4 Löcher pro Reihe. - Batteriehalter UNTEN () zum Anreißen der zu bohrenden Löcher im Flugzeug verwenden. - Löcher (Durchmesser 3. mm) bohren ACHTUNG: Gebohrte Löcher entgraten Verletzungsgefahr! - Batteriehalter UNTEN () mit acht Nieten (30) bei 4V und zwölf Nieten (33) bei 8V befestigen. - Circuit Breaker CB Backup (7) an vorgesehener Position am Batteriehalter (3) mit zwei Schrauben (8), zwei Scheiben (9) und zwei Muttern (0) befestigen. ACHTUNG: Scheiben (9) unter den Muttern (0) anbringen! - Batterie (für 4V Version x ()), (für 8 V Version x()) in den Batteriehalter UNTEN () einsetzen und den Batteriehalter OBEN (3) auf die Batterie () setzen. Hinweis: Die Batterien müssen vor Einbau aufgeladen werden. - Beide Halter mit vier Schrauben (4), acht Scheiben (5) und vier Muttern (6) verschrauben. 4 Platanenstrasse 4 Tel: +49 (3704) Fax: +49 (3704) Technische Mitteilung Nr. / Datum: TM TAE , Revision 8 / Service Bulletin No. / Date TM TAE , Revision 8 / October 4, Verlegen der Leitung Sicherheitsbatterie zum Relaisträger (Cessna (F)7 F,G,H,I,K,L,M,N,P) oder Power Junction Box (Cessna 7 R,S) (Siehe Bild ) Hinweis: Die Leitung TF-06-A-0 (5) besitzt an einem Ende eine M5 Ringzunge und am anderen Ende eine M4 Ringzunge.Das Leitungsende mit der M5 Ringzunge wird am Circuit Breaker CB Backup (7) AUX mit Sechskantschraube (3) bzw. (34) angeschlossen. - Gummikappe () über Anschluss installieren. - Im Heck mit der Verlegung der Leitung TF-06-A-0 (5) beginnen. - Leitung entlang der Hauptbatterieleitung verlegen. ACHTUNG: Leitungen müssen so verlegt sein, dass diese nicht scheuern oder eingeklemmt werden können! - Leitung mit Kabelbindern befestigen und diese mit Scheuerschutz () an Durchführungsstellen versehen. - Leitung TF-06-B-0 (6) am Circuit Breaker CB Backup (7) BAT anschließen und Gummikappe () installieren. - Leitung TF-06-N-0 (7) an Massepunkt Hauptbatterie anschließen. Siehe AMM-0-0 ACHTUNG: Leitungen (6) und (7) nicht an der Batterie anschließen! - Elastomer Schlauch (0) über Batterieanschlüssen installieren. - Alternator Circuit Breaker im Instrumentenbrett entfernen - Alternator Schalter (3 bzw. 35) mit Schutzkappe (33 bzw. 36) an Stelle des entfernten Circuit Breaker installieren. ACHTUNG: Den Schalter mit Schutzkappe so anbringen, dass der Alternator mit geschlossenen Schutzkappe AN ist. Modifizierung des TAE Relaisträger 4V und 8V, Cessna (F)7 F,G,H,I,K,L,M,N,P ( Siehe Bild 5 ) - Abdeckung des Relaisträgers entfernen. - Abdeckung des Sicherungshalters entfernen. - Sicherung 50A FADEC aus Sicherungshalter entnehmen und diese mit einer Sicherung 30A () ersetzen. Hinweis: Die Bezeichnung der Sicherung FADEC ändert sich in FADEC B. - Leitungen 5 FADEC A und FADEC B komplett entfernen (im Relaisträger und im Cockpit), diese Leitungen werden ersetzt. - Neuen Circuit Breaker FADEC A (7) im Relaisträger installieren. - Zu bohrenden Löcher markieren. ACHTUNG: Gebohrte Löcher entgraten Verletzungsgefahr! - Diode und den Circuit Breaker mit jeweils zwei Schrauben (8), zwei Scheiben (9) und zwei Muttern (0) befestigen. ACHTUNG: Scheiben (9) unter den Muttern (0) anbringen! - Leitung TF-05-A-0 (3) von der Sicherung ALTERNATOR zum Circuit Breaker FADEC A (7) installieren. - Leitung TF-05-B-0 (4) vom Circuit Breaker FADEC A (7) auf die Diode Anschluss installieren. Hinweis: Jeweils Scheibe (5) und Sechskantmutter (3) bzw. (34) verwenden. Hinweis: Schrauben für die Anschlüsse der Dioden sind dem Teil (8) beigepackt. - Brücke Diode (9) zweimal zwischen Anschluss 3 und 4 installieren. - Leitung Sicherheitsbatterie TF-06-A-0 (5) am Anschluss der Diode (8) anschließen. - Leitung TF-0-A-0 (9) FADEC B vom Circuit Breaker FADEC B (Cockpit) zu dem Sicherungshalter FADEC B verlegen. - Leitung TF-0-A-0 (8) FADEC A von Circuit Breaker FADEC A (Cockpit) zur Diode (8) Anschluss 4 installieren. Siehe original Cessna Anweisungen. - Neue Diode (8) unter dem External Power Stecker installieren. - Zu bohrende Löcher markieren. - Löcher (Durchmesser 4,0 mm) bohren. - Diode mit zwei Schrauben (8), zwei Scheiben (9) und zwei Muttern (0) befestigen. ACHTUNG: Scheiben (9) unter den Muttern (0) anbringen! - Circuit Breaker F5 (7) oberhalb des Batterie Relais positionieren. - Zu bohrende Löcher markieren. - Löcher (Durchmesser 4,0mm) bohren. - Circuit Breaker mit zwei Schrauben (8), zwei Scheiben (9) und zwei Muttern (0) befestigen. ACHTUNG: Scheiben (9) unter den Muttern (0) anbringen! ACHTUNG: gebohrte Löcher entgraten Verletzungsgefahr! - Leitungen 5 FADEC A und FADEC B komplett entfernen (in Power Junction Box ( F3 ) und im Cockpit Circuit Breaker FADEC A und B ). Diese Leitungen werden ersetzt. - Leitung TF-0-A-0 (9) FADEC B am Circuit Breaker F3 (Power Junction Box) und Circuit Breaker FADEC B (Cockpit) anschließen. Hinweis: Schrauben für die Anschlüsse der Dioden sind dem Teil (8) beigepackt. - Brücke Diode (9) zweimal zwischen Anschluss 3 und 4 installieren. - Leitung TF-0-A-0 (8) an Diode (8) Anschluss 4 und Circuit Breaker FADEC A (Cockpit) anschließen. ACHTUNG: Leitung (8) so installieren, dass die Anschlussseite mit der Inline Sicherung an der Diode (8) angeschlossen wird! ACHTUNG: Isolationsmaterial installieren, wenn Leitungen, Stromschienen kreuzen! - Elektrischen Umbau in Verbindung mit dem Schaltplan E00903 überprüfen. - Abdeckung der Power Junction Box installieren. ACHTUNG: Steckverbindung an der Sicherheitsbatterie auf festen Sitz prüfen! ACHTUNG: Sicherheitsbatterie System Betriebsbereit! 9. Hauptbatterie gemäß AMM anschließen. 0. Installieren der im Punkt deinstallierten Teile in Verwendung der Einbauvorschriften.. Test des Excitation Batterie Systems - Schalter Battery Master AUS - Schalter Engine Master AN - Alternator Warning Light leuchtet - Excitation Battery System in Funktion Test in Ordnung - Schalter Engine Master AUS. Funktionstest des Sicherheitsbatterie Systems ACHTUNG: Folgende Tests sind nur am Boden durchzuführen! - Motor starten, Lastwahlhebel auf IDLE, Avionik AUS - Ampere- und Voltmeter prüfen - Alternator Schalter AUS AWL geht an. - Batterie Hauptschalter AUS AED und CED gehen aus - Prüfung, ob Motor weiter läuft Sicherheitsbatterie System in Funktion - Force B Schalter betätigen Motor stoppt ACHTUNG: Somit ist gewährleistet, dass alle neuen Leitungen richtig installiert sind und das nur die FADEC A von der Sicherheitsbatterie versorgt wird. Diese muss gelöscht werden, siehe OM-0-0. Danach muss folgender Test durchgeführt werden: - Motor starten, Lastwahlhebel auf IDLE, Avionik AUS - Ampere- und Voltmeter prüfen - Prüfen dass keine FADEC Warnung angezeigt wird. - Alternator Schalter AUS AWL geht an - Batterie Hauptschalter AUS AED und CED gehen aus - Prüfung, ob Motor weiter läuft Sicherheitsbatterie System in Funktion - Batterie Hauptschalter AN - Alternator Schalter AN - Motor abstellen ACHTUNG: Nach Funktionstest des Backup Systems alle für den Test notwendigen Änderungen wieder zurückbauen! ACHTUNG: Die Sicherheitsbatterie ist in einem Intervall von Monaten auszutauschen! Hinweis: Hinweis: Nach dem Einbau der Batterie muss das Flugzeug neu gewogen werden und der Schwerpunkt muss neu ermittelt werden. Nach dem Einbau der Batterie muss das Flugzeug betrieben und gewartet werden gemäß der jeweils aktuellen Ausgabe/Revision des TAE Anhang zum Flughandbuch bzw. supplement AMM-0-0, TM TAE Den Durchführungsbericht ausfüllen und an Thielert Aircraft Engines senden. 4. For authorized maintenance organizations please refer to TM TAE The conversion is to be carried out in conjunction with the following manuals: - AMM-0-0 Cessna 7, TAE The applicable Cessna Service Instructions (IPC, AMM, etc.). The following AltReg/AltReg Loom combinations have to be installed in the aircraft for the modification: 4V AltReg R E V AltReg R E AltReg Loom R R AltReg Loom R R If this is not the case the AltReg and AltReg Loom as well as the AWL relay on the AWL connection of the loom have to be de-installed. The AltReg can be returned to TAE for modification. The AltReg loom has to be replaced with a new one (see table above). The AWL relay is no longer used. Please contact TAE if in doubt. The AWL relay is not to be removed in Cessna 7 R and S installations without G000 avionics.. The following tasks are to be carried out before modification: - Removal of Cowling - Disconnection of main battery from the electrical power system of the aircraft - Removal of coolant cooler and cables to open the relay board - Dismantling of pilot seat and back seat - Removal of floor panelling - Remove baggage compartment Ersetzt Technische Mitteilung Nr. / Datum: TM TAE , Rev. 7 / Replaces Service Bulletin No. / Date: TM TAE , Rev. 7 / April 0, 009 Page 4 / 3

15 Platanenstrasse 4 Tel: +49 (3704) Fax: +49 (3704) Technische Mitteilung Nr. / Datum: TM TAE , Revision 8 / Service Bulletin No. / Date TM TAE , Revision 8 / October 4, Installation of fuse for excitation battery - Disconnect excitation battery. - Remove positive (+) eyelet from cable 9. - Use a joint connector (6) to crimp a wire of the fuse component (4, 7). - Crimp the blade terminal (5) at the second side of the fuse component. - Reconnect excitation battery. - Secure fuse component on battery cover using a cable tie mount and cable tie. 4. Installation of backup battery - Mount case for backup battery BOTTOM () onto the shelf radio (in flight direction right-hand side). See Cessna IPC. Depending on model and equipment variations, the backup battery has to be such that it does not interfere with the functionality of equipment, control cables and movable components. Proper clearance must be provided. - Drill eight holes (4V) and twelve holes (8V) into base plates of the battery case BOTTOM (). The holes must be evenly arranged in or 3 rows in longitudinal direction on the base plate. 4 holes per row. - Mark the holes to be drilled by means of the battery case BOTTOM (). - Drill holes. Diameter 3. mm Always deburr drill holes in order to avoid risk of injury! - Fasten battery case BOTTOM () with eight rivets (30) (4V) or twelve rivets (33) (8V). - Install circuit breaker CB Backup (7) at the provided position on the battery cover (3) with two screws (8), two washers (9) and two nuts (0). Washers (9) need to be positioned underneath the nuts (0)! - Insert the battery (x for version 4V ()), (x for version 8 V ()) into the battery case BOTTOM () and mount the battery case TOP (3) onto the battery (). Note: The batteries must be charged i.a.w. manufacturer instructions before installation - Secure both cases with four screws (4), eight washers (5) and four nuts (6). Connect the cable with the M5 ring terminal to the circuit breaker CB Backup (7) AUX using nut (3 or 34 resp.). - Attach a rubber cap () over the connection. - Install cable TF-06-A-0 (5), TAE recommends working from the backup battery towards the relay board or junction box. - Install the cable alongside the electrical power supply of the main battery. The cables must be installed so that they are not chafing against other parts or clamped - Fasten cable with cable strap and use abrasion protection () at feed positions. - Connect cable TF-06-B-0 (6) to the circuit breaker CB Backup (7) BAT and attach a rubber cap (). - Connect cable TF-06-N-0 (7) to the ground connection of the main battery. Refer to AMM-0-0 Do not connect cables (6) and (7) to the battery! - Use an elastomer tube (0) for the battery connections. - Remove alternator circuit breaker from instrument panel. - Install alternator switch (3 or 35 resp.) with switch guard (33 or 36 resp.) at the position of the removed alternator c/b. The alternator switch must be installed so that the alternator is ON with the switch guard closed position. Modification of TAE relay board for versions 4V and 8V Cessna (F)7 Model F,G,H,I,K,L,M,N,P (see figure 5) - Remove the cover of the relay board. - Remove the cover of the fuse holder. - Remove fuse 50A FADEC from the fuse holder and change it with a 30A () fuse. Note: The name of the fuse FADEC changed to FADEC "B". - Completely remove cables 5 FADEC A and FADEC B (in the relay board and in the cockpit). The cables will be replaced. - Install new circuit breaker FADEC A (7) into the relay board. - Mark the holes to be drilled. When installing the cable (8) make sure to connect the connecting side with the inline fuse at the diode (8)! Use insulation when cables cross with electric lines! - Check the electrical conversion in reference with wiring diagram E0050 for 4V and E0080 for 8V. - Reattach the covers for fuse and relay board. Check if plug-in connection on backup battery is fitted tightly! Backup battery system ready for operation! 9. Connect main battery in accordance with the AMM. 0. After reset, carry out the following test: - Start engine, thrust lever to IDLE, avionics OFF - Check ammeter and voltmeter - Verify no FADEC warning indicated - Alternator switch OFF AWL activated - Battery Master switch OFF AED and CED indications go out - Check if engine is still running - Battery Master switch ON - Alternator switch ON - Shutdown the engine Note: Note: After completion of the performance test at the backup system make sure to restore the original conditions! The backup battery needs to be replaced within an interval of months! After installation of the battery the aircraft needs to be weighed again and the center of gravity needs to be re-determined.
