31 Der Lange Tag der StadtNatur Stiftung Naturschutz Berlin (Foundation Nature Conservation Berlin) in co-operation with Veolia, Berliner Wasserbetriebe, mehrwert Berlin, Senate, and local Companies Langer Tag der StadtNatur since each year ~ 500 sites with expeditions - and ~ 150 partners organized by schools, kindergartens, nature groups, urban gardeners, allotment gardeners, companies, museums, canoeing groups, bee keepers, fisher, politicians, and others

33 And last but not least: EU legal framework, species protection under federal law in and outside of protected areas Wild vertebrate and bird spec. are strictly protected under the German Federal Nature Conservation Act and under EU legal framework (Habitat Directive and Bird Directive). It does not matter if the species are living in rural areas, mountains, or cities.. It is forbidden to kill, injure or take any wild bird or vertebrate spec., and to intentionally take, damage or destroy the nest or habitat of any wild species while it is in use or being built. Building birds like Swallow or Swift or bats actively nesting or roosting in buildings, under roofs, in towers are under the same regulations.
