Accordingly, any product of the listed categories that does not comply with the requirements must not be placed on the marked after July 1, These primarily concern the minimum criteria for energy efficiency. BITZER, one of the leading manufacturers of condensing units, has already implemented the necessary measures at an early stage in order to comply with or even exceed the efficiency criteria. For deliveries from the effective date the (CE) Declaration of Conformity as well as supplementary documents for all product series will be available for down - load see section 3. 2 Core elements of the Regulation For placing condensing units on the market, certain minimum efficiency values (so-called MEPS à Minimum Energy Performance Standards) must be complied with and declared by the manufacturer in the Declaration of Conformity. Depending on the capacity segment and the application range, the following conditions apply: Condensing units with a refrigerating capacity of up to 5 kw (medium temperature application) and 2 kw (low temperature application): à Declaration according to the coefficient of performance (COP) at one reference point Condensing units with a refrigerating capacity of more than 5 kw / 2 kw: à Declaration according to the seasonal performance ratio (SEPR = Seasonal Energy Performance Ratio) based on a corresponding ambient temperature and load profile. 2 1 Ausgangssituation 2 2 Kernelemente der Verordnung 4 3 CE Konformitätserklärung und ergänzende Dokumente 7 4 Berechnung des SEPR mit BITZER Software 1 Ausgangssituation Die EU Verordnung 2015/1095 trat im Juli 2015 in Kraft und kommt seit 1. Juli 2016 in der gesamten EU zur Anwendung. Die Verordnung definiert die Festlegung von Anforderungen an die umweltgerechte Gestaltung von Kühllagerschränken, Schnellkühlern-/frostern, Verflüssigungssätzen und Prozesskühlern. Nach dem 1. Juli 2016 dürfen demnach keine Produkte der gelisteten Kategorien innerhalb der EU in Verkehr gebracht werden, die den Anforderungen nicht ent sprechen. Es geht dabei im Wesentlichen um Mindestkriterien für die Energie- Effizienz. BITZER gehört zu den führenden Herstellern von Verflüssigungssätzen und hat deshalb frühzeitig alle Maßnahmen getroffen, um die Effizienzkriterien zu erfüllen und sogar zu übertreffen. Für Lieferungen ab dem Stichtag stehen für alle Baureihen die (CE) Konformitätserklärung sowie ergänzende Dokumente zum Download zur Verfügung siehe Abschnitt 3. 2 Kernelemente der Verordnung Für die Markteinführung von Verflüssigungssätzen müssen bestimmte Mindest-Effizienzwerte (sog. MEPS à Minimum Energy Performance Standards) eingehalten und vom Hersteller per Konformitätserklärung deklariert werden. Je nach Leistungssegment und Anwendungsbereich gelten dabei folgende Bedingungen: Verflüssigungssätze bis Kälteleistung 5 kw (Normalkühlung) und 2 kw (Tiefkühlung): à Deklaration nach Leistungszahl (COP) an einem Referenzpunkt Verflüssigungssätze mit einer höheren Kälteleistung als 5 kw / 2 kw: à Deklaration nach saisonaler Arbeitszahl (SEPR = Seasonal Energy Performance Ratio), bezogen auf ein entsprechendes Umgebungstemperatur- und Lastprofil. 2

There are two stages (Tier-1 / Tier-2) for their application: The requirements according to Tier-1 will apply from 1/7/2016 and those according to Tier-2 (with higher efficiency values) from 1/7/2018. Any possible restrictions must be observed. Besonderer Hinweis: Oben genannte Mindestanforderungen (MEPS) müssen mit dem jeweils eingesetzten Kältemittel erfüllt werden. Eventuelle Verwendungsbeschränkungen sind zu beachten. 3

4 3 CE Declaration of Conformity and supplementary documents according to Regulation 2015/1095 For series Standard (LHE), High ambient temperature (LHE) and Condensing units with 2-stage compressors one common Declaration of Conformity is provided and a separate document for ECOSTAR. Both Declarations can be downloaded from the BITZER website at: Likewise, the Declarations of Conformity and the supplementary Performance Data Sheets according to Annex V of the Regulation, table 4 (COP Declaration) and table 5 (SEPR Declaration) can be created in just a few steps using the BITZER Software: After starting the Software activate the button Condensing Units or, if required, Condensing Units 2-stage to open the calculation mode. Then select the Series, the Refrigerant and the Unit type (rectangular red frames in the following figure) in the input menu. The preset operating conditions may be maintained. 3 CE Konformitätserklärung und ergänzende Dokumente nach Verordnung 2015/1095 Für die Baureihen Standard (LHE), Hohe Umgebungstemperatur (LHE) und Verflüssigungssätze mit 2-stufigen Verdichtern gibt es eine gemeinsame Konformitätserklärung, für ECOSTAR ein separates Dokument. Die Erklärungen sind auf der BITZER Website unter folgender Adresse zum Download verfügbar: Ebenso können die Konformitätserklärungen und die ergänzenden Leistungsdatenblätter nach Anhang V der Verordnung, Tabelle 4 (COP Deklaration) und Tabelle 5 (SEPR Deklaration) in wenigen Schritten über die BITZER Software erstellt werden: Dazu wird nach Aufruf der Software der Button Verflüssigungssätze oder ggf. Verflüssigungssätze 2-stufig aktiviert und damit der Berechnungsmodus geöffnet. Anschließend sind die Baureihe sowie Kältemittel und Aggregattyp (rechteckige rote Rahmen in folgender Abbildung) im Eingabemenü zu wählen; die voreingestellten Betriebsbedingungen können beibehalten werden. 5 By clicking the Ecodesign button in the tool bar (dashed red circle) the Performance Data Sheet ( Information Requirements ) is generated under consideration of the selected condensing unit type and refrigerant. In a first step the Explorer opens for saving the Data Sheet (PDF). After saving the document will open automatically. Via Link on the Performance Data Sheet (red frame in following figure) the Declaration of Conformity (PDF) for the selected product configuration can be opened and saved or printed in usual manner. Durch einen Klick auf die Schaltfläche Ecodesign in der Werkzeugleiste (rot gestrichelter Kreis) wird zunächst das für den definierten Verflüssigungssatz und das gewählte Kältemittel relevante Leistungsdatenblatt ( Informationsanforderungen ) generiert. Dabei öffnet sich der Explorer zum Speichern des Datenblatts (PDF). Nach dem Speichern öffnet sich das Dokument automatisch. Über einen Link auf dem Leistungsdatenblatt (roter Rahmen in folgender Abbildung) lässt sich dann die Konformitätserklärung (PDF) für die gewählte Produktkonfiguration öffnen und in üblicher Weise speichern bzw. drucken. 6 Besides, the Declaration of Conformity as well as supplementary documents can also be downloaded using the QR code specified on the name plate of the condensing unit. The additional data saved in the QR code is used to check in parallel whether the condensing unit is an original BITZER product. Überdies lassen sich die Konformitätserklärung sowie weitere Dokumente über den QR Code auf dem Typschild des Ver - flüssigungssatzes herunterladen. Anhand der auf dem QR Code zusätzlich hinterlegten Daten erfolgt gleichzeitig eine Prüfung, ob es sich bei dem Verflüssigungssatz um ein Original-Produkt von BITZER handelt. 7 4 Calculation of the SEPR using the BITZER Software 4 Berechnung des SEPR mit BITZER Software The BITZER Software also allows for individual calculation of the SEPR and to display all relevant data that may also be exported to an Excel file. Die BITZER Software ermöglicht ebenfalls eine individuelle Berechnung des SEPR mit Ausgabe aller relevanten Daten sie können ebenfalls in eine Excel-Datei exportiert werden. After opening the normal input menu select the Series, Refrigerant and Unit type. First, a single-point calculation is done by clicking the Calculate button (red dashed circle in the following figure). The preset reference conditions may be maintained. Dazu wird das normale Eingabe-Menü geöffnet und Baureihe, Kältemittel und Aggregattyp gewählt. Zunächst erfolgt eine Einzelpunkt-Berechnung durch Klick auf die Schaltfläche Berechnen (roter gestrichelter Kreis in folgender Abbildung). 8 Click the Seasonal calculation button shown in the following figure (dashed red circle to the right) to open the menu for entering additional data and for SEPR calculation. The Application type Medium Temp. is preset, for calculating the SEPR for Low Temp. the default setting (red frame) may be changed. If necessary, input values may be adjusted. For data output, click the Calculate button (dashed red circle to the left). The data is displayed in the output menu (dotted red frame to the right). SEPR-Berechnung SEPR Calculation 8 Mit Klick auf die in nachfolgender Abbildung gezeigte Schaltfläche Jahreszeitliche Berechnung (gestrichelter roter Kreis, rechts) öffnet das Menü zur Eingabe weiterer Daten und zur SEPR Berechnung. Als Anwendungsart ist Normalkühlung voreingestellt; zur Berechnung von Tiefkühlung kann die Vorgabe (roter Rahmen) geändert werden. Bei Bedarf lassen sich auch noch Eingabewerte anpassen. Die Datenaus gabe erfolgt durch Klick auf die Schaltfläche Berechnen (gestrichelter roter Kreis, links), die Daten erscheinen im Ausgabemenü (gepunkteter roter Rahmen, rechts). SEPR Menü SEPR Menu

9 For the output data either Overview or Detail may be selected. When selecting Detail an Excel logo will be displayed for saving the data. If the condensing unit can be used at an ambient temperature of up to 43 C the COP value will also be shown (reference point E). This value is used for information only and has no effect on the SEPR value. Bei den Ausgabedaten kann zwischen Übersicht und Detail gewechselt werden, unter Detail erscheint ebenfalls ein Excel Logo, über das sich die Daten speichern lassen. Falls der Verflüssigungssatz bis 43 C Umgebungstemperatur eingesetzt werden kann, wird dafür ebenfalls der COP Wert ausgewiesen (Referenzpunkt E). Diese Angabe dient der Information und hat keinen Einfluss auf den SEPR Wert.
