This project seeks to develop sectoral Workplace Learning Partnerships (WLPs) networks of specialised enterprises with shared sectoral HRD interests, which offer a broad range of informal learning provision. Target sectors are automotive supply chains and machininig industry. The project will develop tools for VET teachers, trainers and managers with which sectoral informal learning opportunities can be fully exploited and WLPs can be initiated and managed. In addition there are interim products (IP) which will be produced. Those are 5 strategic papers and reports for the internal project use and for the later use in the different tools to be developed: IP1:Joint strategic paper: a shared view of sectoral WLPs IP2:6 National Maps of WLPs IP3:6 National reports: Types of WLPs IP4:1 European report: A Cross European view on sectoral WLPs Comparative IP5:Final Report: WLP Recommendations for European Policies examples from the automotive supply chain and machining sectors. Tool 1 Learning Potential Analysis (LPA)will identify the distributed potentials for informal learning in SMEs within the same sector. It is a method to initiate WLPs for high quality informal learning. The potentials for informal learning will be investigated with regard to the possibilities of their accreditation through the use of a questionnaire which can be applied by teachers, trainers and managers. The tool will be finished at the end of the project and will enable managers or brokers of WLP to enhance sectoral cooperation. It will be available in English as an electronic as well as a webbased document and on CDROM. As a first step the project will use an already existing instrument from the German GAPA project(lpa Prototype).With the beginning of the project the instrument will be translated to English in the first 3 months. The translated prototype will be adapted to national and sectoral contexts in the Partner Countries (workpackage: 5 adaptations of LPA). This adaptation will be available in English and Partner Country languages (EE, IT, F, SLO) as a webbased document as of the 9th projectmonth. In the remaining 15 months the adjusted LPAs will be implemented in national WLPs through sectoral workshops and the use in the context of companies. Tool 2 WLP Web: WLP Web will be a Learning management system for learners, teachers, trainers and managers of WLPs. It will support the interfirm rotation of learners and the management of the match between 1. the available sectoral learning potentials within companies, 2. the leraning needs of individual learners and 3. the system of accreditation in place. During the project the partner will analyse what kind of information can be usefully exchanged and adminsitered via this tool to improve the collaboration in WLPs. Therefore Tool 2 will be available as a prototype as of month 3. Tool 2 will be hosted at the projects' web platform, which will be used as a shared workspace for the RDgroup and also serve dissimenation purposes. Tool 3:WLP manual will contain the multimedia success stories of WLPs. The target &prd=1 13

Multimedia Case studies are a widely known and accepted educational instrument by this target group. Additionaly potentials and barriers of WLPs and strategies for the implementation and overcoming of barriers will be described. The content of the manual and the Multimedia success stories will be available on CDRom, as an electronic and printed document and also online (Tool 2). The finished manual will be available with the end of the project. The final multimedia case studies will be in English. Tool 4: At the beginning of the project a workshop concept for the target group will be created (month 1012) and fieldtested in 5 regional workshops (month. 1218). The revised workshop concept will be used as a training course concept for the use in the different partner contexts and will be available at the end of the project.
