The highvoltage transformer serves to generate the high voltage and tube current. The maximum permitted high voltage is 150 kv, the maximum power output is 65 kw and the maximum tube current is 640 ma. The highvoltage transformer comprises the highvoltage coils, the highvoltage rectifier board and the heating coils. The high voltage and the tube current are measured on the highvoltage rectifier board. : 01 Mode of operation The task of the highvoltage transformer is to step up the voltage of the highvoltage converter, rectify it and output it at the highvoltage sockets.

No.: Idx.: 01 Mode of operation The task of the highvoltage transformer is to step up the voltage of the highvoltage converter, rectify it and output it at the highvoltage sockets. In addition, it generates the heating currents of the large and small focus. Highvoltage measuring circuits of the highvoltage rectifier The highvoltage rectifier board accommodates the measuring circuits for anode voltage and cathode voltage measurement. This comprises voltage dividers with ratio 40,000:1. This leads to the following measurement resolution: Measurement at HSAT with respect to GND 1 V corresponds to 40 kv anode voltage Measurement at HSKT with respect to GND 1 V corresponds to 40 kv cathode voltage Tube current measuring circuits of the highvoltage rectifier The highvoltage rectifier board accommodates the measuring circuits for anode voltage and current measurement. This comprises 10 Ω precision resistors. This leads to the following measurement resolution: Measurement at IAT with respect to GND 1 V corresponds to 100 ma anode current Measurement at IKT with respect to GND 1 V corresponds to 100 ma cathode current Important information on transporting the highvoltage transformer Air bubbles may form in the transformer oil during transport as the result of vibration. These air bubbles then mean that the highvoltage transformer is no longer voltageresistant. The result of this is highvoltage disruptive discharges that may lead to defects on the Xray system. Consequently, please comply with the following conditions: The highvoltage transformer must be transported upright. Avoid vibrations wherever possible. Do not generate high voltage with the highvoltage transformer for 4 hours after transport. /4
