6 Ribbon Flower Tutorial by Zsoka For this month s tutorial I created some ribbon flowers that I then used on a card. I used the cream ribbon from the kit. Here s what you do: 01 - You will need scissors, tweezers, lighter, hot glue gun, ribbon and some cardstock. Cut some aquares from your ribbon (I used 10 squares to create 1 flower.) 02 - Fold the square in half as shown Fold it in half again Take your tweezers and hold the ribbon as shown in the picture. Cut off the corner This is what your petal should look like from the top You will now have to cut off another piece of your ribbon. Hold it as shown and cut it off just next to the tweezers. 4

7 ribbon flower by zsoka 07 - It should look like this. Now you need to use your lighter to melt the fabric so the petal doesn t come apart. You have to do this on the two sides where you cut off the pieces (in this picture that would be the right and the top side). Careful, it only takes a couple of seconds before the fabric turns black! 08 - This is one petal. You need about Cut a circle from cardstock - I thinkmine was about 4 cm in diameter. Then use your hot glue gun to adhere the petals Decorate the flower center with enamel dots, buttons, gems, whatever you like! 5
