2 Modul 1: Strategie Unternehmensgründung Vorlesung, 2009W oder 2011S, 2.0h Rechnungswesen, Investition und Finanzierung Durch Diskussion mit Fachleuten und Gründern soll die Fähigkeit zum Entwurf eines eigenen Gründungskonzeptes erlangt werden. Es soll ein Beitrag zur realistischen Einschätzung von Möglichkeiten und Grenzen einer eigenen Unternehmensgründung geleistet werden.. Praxisorientierte Einführung in die wesentlichsten Aspekte der Unternehmensgründung im Bereich technik- oder wissensintensiver Produkte und Dienstleistungen: - Markt, Wettbewerb und Preisbildung - Gesellschaftsrecht - Corporate Finance - Geschäftsplanerstellung - Schutz von geistigem Eigentum - Gesellschaftsrecht - Vorstellung verschiedenster Services, Förderungen und Finanzierungen für Gründer Strategic Management Vorlesung mit Übung, 2010S, 2.0h (in Englisch) Investition und Finanzierung, Organisation und Personal oder Organisation und Führung Theoretische Einführung in Konzepte, Methoden und Techniken des strategischen Management, vertieft durch Beispiele und Übungen Einführung in das strategische Management, Strategieprozess (Analyse, Formulierung, Umsetzung, Kontrolle), Interne und externe Analyse, Quellen (nachhaltiger) Wettbewerbsvorteile (Marktbasierter, Ressourcen-basierter und Wertschöpfungsansatz), Strategie im Kontext von Organisation und Innovation.

3 Modul 2: Organisation Organizational Design Vorlesung mit Übung, 2010W, 2.0h (in Englisch) This course deals with problems concerning the selection and management of various dimensions and components of organizational structure and culture. An appropriate organizational design allows organizations to continually adapt to a changing global environment and to balance internal needs and external pressures to survive in the long run. A key element is therefore to understand how organisations can be designed and managed for a better performance. This course aims to demonstrate the interconnectedness between structure and performance. Accordingly, the course will aim to bring an awareness of the intended as well as unintended consequences of organisational design decisions. The concepts involved focus on organisation structure (e.g. organization design), organizational change, organizational effectiveness, strategy, and culture, knowledge management and business process re-engineering. Using Case-Study Method (Harvard) and actual cases from practice, students learn how to resolve problems related to organizational design and change. Students work in teams, prepare case studies and present problem solutions during class. It is expected from students to know the theoretical concepts from the course "Grundlagen der Organisation". Furthermore, all students are expected to study (not just read) the case studies and readings throughout the course. The case studies and readings will serve as the basis for classroom discussions. Grading is based on case-study reports, in-class participation and a final exam International Negotiations Vorlesung mit Übung, 2010W, 2.0h (in Englisch) The three key objectives of this course are to provide the students with: 1. An understanding of different theories of the negotiation process and the application of these theories to a variety of settings. The theories to be covered include rational models of bargaining behaviour that have been developed in economics and decision sciences, and cognitive and behavioural theories that investigate how bargaining behaviour may diverge from the predictions of the rational models; 2. An opportunity to develop their bargaining skills and apply the theoretical concepts covered in class in a variety of negotiating exercises and cases; and 3. Exposure to new communication and computer technologies that are used in negotiation analysis and support, and in the conducting of negotiations in e-business and beyond. This course is designed for students who expect to perform managerial functions in their future careers. Its key objective is to equip students with the knowledge and basic skills required to conduct, manage and analyze negotiation processes. It is based on the following premise: Everybody negotiates but managers and professionals should know how to manage conflict and how to negotiate effectively.

4 Modul 3: Arbeitsplanung Arbeitsplanung und Steuerung Vorlesung, 2011S, 2.0h Rechnungswesen, Organisation und Personal oder Organisation und Führung Vermittlung der grundlegenden Kenntnisse über Aufgaben von Planungs- und Steuerungsprozessen in der modernen Arbeitswelt. Sektoren- und branchenübergreifend gilt es, die grundlegenden Modelle und Methoden zu kennen, zu verstehen und im Rahmen neuer Arbeitsumgebungen anwenden zu können. Wesentlich ist insbesondere die Vermittlung des Verständnisses der zugrunde liegenden aktuellen Organisations- und Informationsstrukturen. Moderne Organisationsstrukturen und Informationsstrukturen entlang der Wertschöpfungskette, ausgehend von Prozessen der Leistungsdefinition über die Leistungserstellung bis hin zu Kundenund Serviceprozessen. Branchenübergreifende Betrachtung im Produktions- und Dienstleistungssektor. Schwerpunkt liegt hierbei in der Darstellung von planungs- und steuerungsrelevanten Aspekten bei der Arbeitsgestaltung. Lebenszyklus von Arbeitsprozessen (Gestaltung, Umsetzung, kontinuierliche Verbesserung). Zielsysteme, Arbeitsstrukturierung, Nummernsysteme, Informationsdesign, Materialwirtschaft und Terminwesen unter Berücksichtigung moderner IT-Unterstützung der Aufgaben. Organisatorische und personelle Aspekte des IT-Einsatzes. Die grundlegenden Modelle und Methoden werden durch konkrete Beispiele aus der Arbeitswelt und Projekten (z.b. Stückgutfertigung, Anlagenfertigung, Krankenanstalten, öffentliche Verwaltung) anschaulich dargestellt. Behandlung von Stücklisten, Arbeitsplänen und Fristenplänen, Nummernsystemen, Materialwesen und Terminwesen unter Berücksichtigung der EDV-Unterstützung (CIM Computer Integrated Manufacturing). Organisatorische und personelle Aspekte von CIM Qualitätsmanagement Vorlesung mit Übung, 2009W, 2.0h keine Überblick über die Methoden des Qualitätsmanagements Grundlagen Qualitätsmanagement, Qualitätsmanagementsysteme, Integrierte Managementsystem, Statistische Methoden des QM, Total Quality Management - Grundlagen, Kennzahlensysteme und Balanced Score Card

5 Modul 4: Praktikum aus General Management Praktikum aus General Management Praktikum, 2011S, 4.0h Organizational Design und mind. 2 weitere Lehrveranstaltungen der KFK Erwerb von praktischen Kenntnissen und Erfahrungswissen im Zuge der begleiteten Anwendung von Managementmethoden. Neben der inhaltlichen Arbeit an einem Projekt kommen den Aspekten der produktiven Teamarbeit sowie der Projektorganisation und des Projektmanagements besondere Bedeutung zu. In Kleingruppen werden anhand konkreter Projekte die theoretischen Kenntnisse im Bereich des Managements angewendet und Problemstellungen im Team gelöst.
