In a holiday brochure 7 You read this description of a cycling tour along the River Danube from the town of Passau to Vienna. 18 Radwandern leicht gemacht.
Which FOUR sentences are correct? Write the letters in the boxes. A B C D E F G H There are a lot of sights to see on the way. You should be an experienced cyclist to undertake this tour. The cycle tracks are rather narrow. If you cycle from Passau to Vienna, the wind is usually behind you. There are cycle tracks on both sides of the river. There are not many places to stop for refreshments. You should always book your hotels before you start the tour. It is better if you are able to start the tour during the week. [4 marks] [Turn over] 4

8 (c) (ii) What reason does Frau Hulbert give for this? 21 8 (d) What TWO jobs is Raphael expected to do? (e) How can Raphael earn more pocket money? [Turn over] 6
22 8 (f) Why did Jessika punish Lennard yesterday? 8 (g) What EXACTLY was the punishment? 8 (h) According to Jessika, what EXACTLY is her main rule in dealing with her children?
23 A postcard 9 A German friend has sent you this postcard from Vienna. 9 (a) Why is your friend apologising to you? 9 (b) What is the reason for this? END OF QUESTIONS 5
