Wenn 2 annimmt, dann sind die Auszahlungen wie vorgeschlagen, (C x, x), ansonsten erhalten beide 0. Das Ultimatumspiel Was würden Sie machen? Bei C = 40, C = 30, und C = 20? Was würden Sie vorschlagen? Welche Vorschläge würden Sie annehmen? 2 3

2 Teilspiele und Strategien (Selten, 1965) Teilspiel Jede denkbare Entscheidungssituation konstituiert ein Teilspiel. Spieler 1 hat nur eine denkbare Entscheidungssituation: Vorschlag einer Verteilung (C x, x). Für Spieler 2 konstituiert jeder mögliche Vorschlag (C x, x) von Spieler 1 jeweils eine eigene Entscheidungssituation (egal wie unwahrscheinlich sie ex-ante ist). (C 0, 0), (C 0.01, 0.01),..., (0.01, C 0.01), (0, C 0) Spieler 2 agiert also in sehr vielen Teilspielen (hier für Geldeinheit 0.01). Strategie Die Strategie eines Spieler weist jedem seiner (denkbaren) Teilspiele eine Aktion zu, die er wählen würde, wenn dieses Teilspiel erreicht wird. Beispiel einer Strategie für 2: Akzeptiere (C x, x) x C/3 Teilspielperfektes Ggw: Einkommensmaximierung Strategieprofil Ein Strategieprofil ist eine Kollektion von (vollständigen) Strategien aller Spieler. Welche Strategieprofile sind plausibel? Vielleicht folgende: Teilspielperfektes Gleichgewicht: Einkommensmaximierung Ein Strategieprofil ist ein TSP-Ggw, wenn es so gestaltet ist, dass jeder Spieler in jedem Teilspiel sein Einkommen maximiert unter der Annahme, dass alle folgenden Aktionen so ablaufen, wie in dem Strategieprofil angekündigt. Konsequenz: In TSP-Ggws durchschaut Spieler 1 mögliche Bluffs (leere Drohungen) von Spieler 2 Bluff: Ich mache etwas unsinniges, wenn Du... machst. Bspw. Übliches experimentelles Design Jeder Teilnehmer spielt das Spiel 10 mal, mit wechselnden Partnern, aber immer in der gleichen Rolle (immer Proposer oder immer Responder) Übliche Ergebnisse Die Vorschläge x sind im allgemeinen im Bereich 40% 50% von C Kleinere Vorschläge werden mit recht hoher Häufigkeit abgelehnt Daher sind die empirisch optimalen Vorschläge auch im Bereich 40% 50% Was passiert in Experimenten? 4 Alternative Konzepte Wenn es keine Konvergenz zum TSP-Ggw gibt, dann nutzen die Personen vielleicht ein einfacheres Gleichgewichtskonzept Bspw. The width of the plateau is informative of the degree of inequity aversion to both one s own and the other player s disadvantage, as subjects rejected offers giving them either much lower or much higher amounts than the proposer. Contrary to the model with rational expectations, the model with subjective expectations also revealed a significant nonlinear relationship between aversion to one s own disadvantage and the level of inequity. These results suggested that subjective probability data, although suffering from the problem of a substantial framing bias, can be useful to better predict and understand behavior in simple games of proposal and response. Our data also revealed that a large number of responders rejected offers which give them more than the proposers, suggesting strong aversion to inequity at other s disadvantage. Interestingly, this nonmonotonicity in responder behavior appeared to have been qualitatively at least anticipated by proposers in the game. We further found that a substantial part of the nonmonotonicity in responders behavior could be explained by important subject pool effects. Inequity aversion, in particular aversion to other s disadvantage, rises with age and falls with education level. Moreover, we found that young and highly educated participants represent one of the most selfish subgroups of the population under study. This suggests that care must be exerted before making population inferences based on convenience samples of students commonly used in laboratory experiments. Ist diese Nutzenfunktion die einzige, die zu beidem passt?
