8 Methodik: Trainingsprogramm Hypertrophietraining: Widerstand 80% der Maximalkraft, 12 Wiederholungen, 3 Serien 2 Trainings/ Woche, je ca. 50 Min, 12 Wochen 24 Trainings 7 Übungen: Beinpresse, Kniestrecker, Kniebeuger, Hüftabduktoren, Wade, Bauch, Rücken. Vorher 10 Min Aufwärmen

April 2016: Manuscript rejected Mail from the Editor Please accept my apologies for the delay in providing you with a decision Peer review is now complete and, based on the reports, I am sorry to say that we cannot consider the manuscript for publication and are closing your file. As you will see from the reports the major concern raised by the reviewers relates to some apparent confusion between joint hypermobility compared to joint hypermobility syndrome, which is likely to have major implications for the study design. 20

Mai 2016: Appeal letter (Editor-in-chief) Reviewer #1 obviously did not understand a study protocol ( ) and missed the results, thus rejecting our submission Reviewer #2 is not mentioned and no information is provided. Reviewer #3 asked for major revision suggestion to broaden study population to healthy persons... Reviewer #4 is a coworker of reviewer #1 (several co-authored publications) and did not provide any reason for rejection or comment. Reviewer #5, author of several articles provided important comments and suggested accept with minor revision is the main study of PhD project study protocol was submitted to local research committee of VUB and accepted as scientific sound project to do a PhD thesis. In conclusion, there are several reasons for us to question the decision of the Editor We request for a second review and we provide below a list of possible reviewers with several publications on joint hypermobility. 25
