OCAD Inc. at Trade Shows and Events 2012 1. OCAD 11 Released With pleasure we announce the release of OCAD 11 on June 4th 2012! OCAD 11 offers more than 100 new features and numerous improvements, which facilitate map-making and thus your work. A full list of new OCAD features will be found with their function on the new OCAD online help - the OCAD 11 Wiki under the title 'Renewals': www.ocad.com/en.wiki/index.php?title=renewals 2. OCAD 11 Editions We have new six editions of OCAD. OCAD 11 Professional This edition is similar to the former OCAD 10 Professional edition. All new features of OCAD 11 (e.g. Layout Layer, WMS connection, drawing and editing tools, DEM module) are implemented as well as the GPS real-time module, the new Laser Range Finder tool, Database connection, XML-Script, OCAD Internet Map Export (OIM). However, the Client- Server module will not be integral part of OCAD 11 Professional. OCAD 11 Orienteering Standard OCAD 11 Orienteering Standard edition is dedicated for orienteering map-making. To stress its optimized purpose "orienteering map-making" the word Orienteering is added to the former edition name OCAD 10 Standard. The GPS real-time module is now added. New features like Layout Layer, new drawing and editing tools and the DEM module are implemented and the OCAD Course Setting module is included as well. However, functions like Laser Range Finder, WMS-Server Connection, Snapping option, Group or Ungroup objects, Database connection, XML-Script, OCAD Internet Map Export (OIM) are not integral part of OCAD 11 Orienteering Standard Edition. OCAD 11 Starter (New) This edition is dedicated to beginners of map-making. OCAD 11 Starter is limited up to 10'000 objects and to 5 raster background maps and it's functionally is limited to basic drawing and editing functions. The OCAD Course Setting module is included as well. However, OCAD 11 Starter Edition will not provide sophisticated functions e.g. latest drawing and editing functions, GPS real-time module, Layout Layer, WMS-Server Connection, DEM module. OCAD 11 Course Setting This edition is dedicated to course setting for orienteering sports. It is an extraction of OCAD 11 Orienteering Standard module «Course Setting» and enables you to set courses for orienteering events. It has no limitation compared to Course Setting module of OCAD 11 Orienteering Standard. However, map editing is not possible with this edition. This is dedicated to OCAD 11 Professional, Orienteering Standard or Starter.
OCAD 11 Viewer The OCAD 11 Viewer is the free OCAD edition to open OCAD map files, switch on and off map symbols and printing or exporting maps as well. With the OCAD 11 Viewer, you can use the high-quality maps of OCAD map files in exactly the same manner as the creator of the map previously defined. OCAD 11 Enterprise (New) This edition will be released later on. The server-client solution could not be tested as it should be to put it into market. At the moment OCAD 11 Enterprise Edition is in the ALPHA test stage. OCAD 11 Viewer Der OCAD 11 Viewer ist die kostenlose OCAD-Edition zum Öffnen und Anschauen von Karten, Ein- und Ausblenden von Symbolen sowie zum Drucken und Exportieren von OCAD- Karten. Mit dem OCAD 11 Viewer können Sie die OCAD-Karten in ihrer vollen Qualität nutzen. OCAD 11 Enterprise (neu) Diese Edition wird später freigegeben. Das Server-Client-Modul konnte noch nicht genügend getestet werden. Zurzeit befindet sich die OCAD 11 Enterprise Edition in der ALPHA- Testphase.
