Sollten Sie diese nicht besitzen (oftmals ITEZ-Mitarbeiter Engineering Workstation Nutzer), müssen Sie erst einen Request stellen. (Anleitung ist auf der letzten Seite des Dokuments!) Ein GM IT Mitarbeiter wird Sie dann bei dieser Installation unterstützen. English Important Note Opel employees can perform this installation, if you have the necessary permission, which is usually the case. Should you not have these (often ITEZ employees, Engineering Workstation user), you must first submit a request. (Instructions are on the last page of the document!) GM IT employee will help you during this installation. 1. Schritt: Herunterladen der PC Software auf Ihren Firmen PC 1. Step: PC Software Download Auf der Webseite http://connect.garmin.com finden Sie eine Einführung zu Garmin Connect. Wählen Sie bitte "Erste Schritte" und danach "Download für Windows". On the webpage http://connect.garmin.com you find a short introduction for Garmin Connect. Please select "Get Started" and then "Download for Windows". Die Installationsdatei GarminExpressInstaller.exe wird heruntergeladen. The installation file GarminExpressInstaller.exe will be downloaded. 2. Schritt: Installation der PC Software auf Ihrem Firmen PC 2. Step: Software Installation Bestätigen Sie die Frage nach Erlaubnis für Änderungen am PC mit "Ja". (Sie müssen diese Erlaubnis möglicherweise mehrmals während der Installationsund Konfigurationsschritte erteilen.) Please start program GarminExpressInstaller.exe and allow changes to this computer. 3. Schritt: Anmeldedaten für Garmin Dienst ändern für Ihren PC 3. Step: Set logon credentials for Garmin Service to configure GM proxy Klicken Sie auf den Windows-Startbutton (befindet sich unten Links auf dem Bildschirm), geben Sie "Dienste" im Suchfeld ein und öffnen das Programm "Dienste". Suchen Sie nach Garmin Core Update Services, klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste darauf und öffnen Sie die Eigenschaften. Anschließend wählen Sie im neuen Fenster den Reiter "Anmelden". Wählen Sie "Dieses Konto" aus und geben folgendes ein: EUR\Ihre GM ID sowie Ihr Passwort, dass Sie beim Starten des PCs verwenden und bestätigen Sie mit "OK". Es öffnen sich 2 weitere HInweisfenster, die Sie bitte wieder mit "OK" bestätigen. Um die neue Einstellung zu aktivieren und die Funktion der Garmin Software zu ermöglichen, klicken Sie auf "Den Dienst Neu Starten". Bitte beachten Sie, dass dieses Programm auch ein Ihr Passwort anfordern wird, wenn Sie Ihr Passwort, dass Sie zum Starten des PCs benötigen, ändern müssen. Die letzte Abbildung in Schritt 3 zeigt Ihnen das Hinweisfenster dazu. Zur Änderung des Passwortes müssen Sie wieder den Schritt 3 durchführen. Bei Ignorierung dieser Anforderung zur Änderung des Passwortes die Garmin Anwendung nicht mehr funktionieren und Sie können nicht mehr auf Ihren PC zugreifen. Startbutton Go to Windows START (lower left corner on your screen), enter "services" in the search field and start the "services" window. Search for Garmin Core Update Service, open the service properties (right mouse menu) and select the logon tab. Enter your GM ID and your password at "This Account" and finish with OK. To active the new logon credentials and to use the service please restart the service with "Restart". Please click OK in the confirmation windows. To enable the new setting and to enable the function of the Garmin software, click on "Restart the Service". Please note that this program will also request your password again when you change your password you use to start the PC. The last illustration i step 3 shows you the warning window. To change the password, you must perform step 3 again. If this request to change the password is ignored the Garmin application will no longer work and you can no longer access your PC too. 4. Schritt: Gehen Sie jetzt bitte wieder zu dem Fenster Garmin Express (Falls nicht mehr geöffnet, befindet sich dies in der Taskleiste unten) zurück und klicken Sie den Button "STARTEN". Wählen Sie anschließend "Erste Schritte" aus. 4. Please select "Get Started" on the first screen. 5. Schritt: ANT+ USB Dongle anschliessen 5. Step: ANT+ USB donle connection Schließen Sie den ANT+ USB Dongle, der sich in Ihrer Verpackung befindet, an Ihren PC (USB-Anschluss) an. Drücken Sie die Taste an Ihrem Garmin Vivofit bis "PAIR" im Display angezeigt wird. Wenn alles richtig eingestellt worden ist kann die Software die Seriennummer Ihres Gerätes überprüfen. (Bei einigen PCs kann es vorkommen, dass sich der ANT+ USB Dongle nicht im Hintergrund installiert, bitte dann folgende Schritte ausführen): Connect the ANT+ USB dongle, which is located in your packaging, to your PC (USB port). Press the button on your Garmin Vivofit until "PAIR" is shown in the display. If everything has been set properly the software can check the serial number of your appliance. (On some PCs it may happen, that the ANT+ USB dongle iy not installed in the background, in this case please perform the following steps): 6. Schritt: Einstellungen ändern 6. Step: Change Settings Wir empfehlen Ihnen, die Einstellungen wie folgt vorzunehmen: Automatische Aktualisierung AUS, Update Zeitplan NIE. We recommend to set options as follows: Auto Update OFF, Update Schedule NEVER. 7. Schritt: Klicken Sie auf "Fortfahren" bzw "Gerät hinzufügen", um Ihr Gerät zu aktivieren. 7. Geben Sie auf dem nächsten Bildschirm entsprechend Ihre Email Adresse und ein von Ihnen freigewähltes Passwort ein. If you do have an account at Garmin already please select "I want to sync to an existing account", if not please select "I need to create a new account". Please enter your email address and a password of your choise on the next screen accordingly.
