Speaker 1: Ingo Kusch Ingo has spent his professional life with Procter & Gamble: joining the company in 1997 he led many small to mid-sized infrastructure projects in the areas of desktop management, messaging and server infrastructure. Building on that experience he first participated and finally led the development of a global Web Order Management Application for P&G between 2002 and 2004. During all his regional and global projects he gained insights on how to introduce new technology in a truly global IT infrastructure and how to turn good product ideas into maintainable and scalable services. the P&G business. Since 2004 Ingo is working in the Global Business Services Innovation Group focusing on new IT technologies and processes for the Supply Network Solutions Service Line at P&G. In this capacity Ingo is evaluating new IT products and trends to validate their future potential for Ingo is certified PMP and holds a masters degree in Physics. He lives with his wife and son in Frankfurt. Title: Managing Projects in a global environment Web Order Management development at P&G Abstract: Between 2002 and 2004 Procter & Gamble replaced its global Web Order Entry tool by a new internally developed J2EE Web application. The presentation will summarize the project and describes the Project Management methodologies used in the course of the project. This case is a good example on how to manage complex and mission critical projects in a corporate environment that is rapidly changing while adapting to the needs of a global economy. The main focus will be on the communication needs required to successfully manage a globally dispersed team. Speaker 2: Peter McBride Seite/Page 6 of 7
Peter McBride, PMP is the Owner and President of McBride Consulting Group Inc, 1993. MCGI is the Cheetah Learning licensee for Canada and the EMEA, and brings his years of PMP Exam prep training to the podium. You will find PMP's from your own chapter who have seen Peter in action! Peter has been a Project Manager instructor for 4+ years. This follows a long career in Project Management, Software Development, Accounting, Sales - even automotive repair! His varied career brings depth to the classroom experience. Peter is a PMP, a certified Microsoft developer and an avid golfer. "I believe that humor is an important element in adult training, and I strive to keep the atmosphere light and easy. This enhances the training experience and improves overall performance not just for the client but for the instructor as well." Peter is married to Judith and has two dogs (who actually rule the houshold). He sings in Mens Chorus and competes as a member of a vocal quartet. He is also a model railroad hobbyist. When he has time he runs his favorite personal project - rebuilding his 1980 Ford Thunderbird from the ground up. Title: Adult and Accelerated Learning Abstract: The converging fields of Adult and Accelerated Learning have created a wealth of new learning theory since the middle of the last century. Courses designed with the needs of adult learners in mind, and based on accelerated learning theory, have shown significantly higher success rates, a higher degree of retention and faster uptake, and a far greater degree of satisfaction on the part of the learner, when compared to traditional learning experiences. This presentation reveals and discusses the theories and practices that can be used to vastly improve the classroom experience. Seite/Page 7 of 7
