Interviewer: How many hours do you work? Eight. Interviewer: And what do you do? It s very simple. It s mostly taking things from the storeroom and putting them on the shelves. Sometimes I also help with cleaning after shop hours to get some extra money. Interviewer: And how much do you get? 3 an hour. Interviewer: Would you like to work in the shop after you ve finished school? Certainly not what I m doing now. But I can see myself as a manager of a Tesco store. I ve talked to our manager a few times, and I think that is quite an interesting job. Interviewer: Well, then, I wish you all the best. Interview 2: John Thank you. Interviewer: John, what s your Saturday job? I haven t got a Saturday job, really. I do a paper round for the local news-agents. It s quite a good job, but you have to get up very very early. And sometimes it s dreadful with all the bad weather and that. Interviewer: Have you ever tried to get another job? No, cause I m only 14, and it s very difficult to get any other job when you re 13 or 14. Interviewer: How long does your round take you every morning? Almost three quarters of an hour. Interviewer: And is the money OK? 54
UNTERLAGE FÜR DIE LEHRKRAFT Yeah, 15 a week helps quite a bit. I don t get any pocket money, so I really need the job. Interviewer: What would you like to do after leaving school? Interviewer: Why s that? I don t really know. Maybe I ll join the police force. Well, my uncle s a policeman, and I think it s quite an interesting job, and the pay is good, I think. 55
