3 1 Produktbeschreibung Deutsch Datum der letzten Aktualisierung: Lesen Sie dieses Dokument aufmerksam durch. Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise. Ottobock fertigt dieses Produkt als Auftragshersteller (in nachfolgenden Kapiteln kurz als Hersteller bezeichnet). Der rechtliche Hersteller ist der Auftraggeber von Ottobock. 1.1 Konstruktion und Funktion Der SiOCX TF Schaft ist ein Prothesenschaft-System, das individuell nach den Patientendaten als Sonderanfertigung hergestellt wird. Es besteht aus einem HTV-Silikon-Innenschaft und einem Prepreg-Carbon-Außenschaft mit positioniertem Adapter. Zur Druckentlastung von empfindlichen oder knöchernen Stellen ist die Einarbeitung zusätzlicher Silikon Gel-Polster sowie flexibler Schaftbereiche optional möglich. Der Außenschaft wird mit einem den Kundenangaben entsprechend positionierten Adapter geliefert und ist in folgenden Varianten verfügbar: 1. SiOCX TF (mit geschlossenem Außenschaft) 2. SiOCX TF Pro (mit Rahmenschaft) Beim geschlossen Außenschaft wird zur besseren Anpassung an den Patienten ein Versorgungsschritt eingefügt. Dabei wird der definitive Innenschaft mit einem Diagnoseschaft aus ThermoLyn ohne positionierten Adapter ausgeliefert. Der Diagnoseschaft bietet die Möglichkeit, Änderungen an der Form und am Schaftrandverlauf vorzunehmen sowie die Adapterposition zu bestimmen. 2 Verwendung 2.1 Verwendungszweck Der SiOCX TF Schaft ist ein Prothesenschaft für transfemorale Amputationen. 2.2 Einsatzgebiet Der Diagnoseschaft ist zur Kontrolle der Passform bestimmt. Die optimale Passform und Adapterposition werden direkt, mit einer aufgebauten Prothese, ermittelt. SiOCX TF Schäfte werden unabhängig vom Mobilitätsgrad eingesetzt. Der Patient muss motorisch in der Lage sein, mit einer Einziehhilfe in den Prothesenschaft einzusteigen. 3 Sicherheit 3.1 Bedeutung der Warnsymbolik VORSICHT HINWEIS Warnungen vor möglichen Unfall- und Verletzungsgefahren. 4 HINWEIS Mechanische Beschädigung des Produkts Beschädigung durch Funktionsveränderung oder -verlust Arbeiten Sie sorgfältig mit dem Produkt. Prüfen Sie ein beschädigtes Produkt auf Funktion und Gebrauchsfähigkeit. Verwenden Sie das Produkt bei Funktionsveränderungen oder -verlust nicht weiter (siehe Anzeichen von Funktionsveränderungen oder -verlust beim Gebrauch in diesem Kapitel). Sorgen Sie im Bedarfsfall für geeignete Maßnahmen (z. B. Reparatur, Austausch, Kontrolle durch den Kunden-Service des Herstellers, etc.). Informieren Sie den Patienten. Anzeichen von Funktionsveränderungen oder -verlust beim Gebrauch Funktionsveränderungen können sich z. B. durch ein verändertes Gangbild, eine veränderte Positionierung der Prothesenkomponenten zueinander, sowie durch Geräuschentwicklung bemerkbar machen. 4 Lieferumfang Der Lieferumfang des Produkts ist auf Seite 2 (Abb ) abgebildet. 5 Schützen Sie den Silikonschaft vor Beschädigungen durch scharfkantige Gegenstände, um Funktionseinschränkungen zu vermeiden Diagnoseschaft VORSICHT Falsche Bearbeitung des Thermoplast-Prothesenschafts Sturz durch Bruch tragender Teile Schneiden Sie den Sitzbereich des Thermoplast-Prothesenschafts nicht aus, um eine ausreichende Stabilität für die dynamische Anprobe und die Testphase zu gewährleisten. VORSICHT Wärmebehandlung des Thermoplast-Prothesenschafts Verletzungen durch Kontakt mit heißem Material Führen Sie keine Wärmebehandlungen des Prothesenschafts am Patienten durch. Lassen Sie den Prothesenschaft nach der Wärmebehandlung abkühlen. Beachten Sie die Verarbeitungshinweise von ThermoLyn in der Technischen Information 646D300*, wenn thermoplastische Nachverformungen am Diagnoseschaft notwendig sind Definitiver Prothesenschaft Der SiOCX TF Schaft bietet keine Möglichkeit für thermoplastische Nachformungen Anziehen VORSICHT Silikonschaft liegt nicht vollständig am Stumpf an Hautirritationen durch Ansammlung von Flüssigkeit im Silikonschaft Tragen Sie den Silikonschaft direkt auf der Haut. Wenn Sie Lufteinschlüsse bemerken, ziehen Sie den Prothesenschaft aus und erneut an. Informieren Sie den Patienten. HINWEIS Kontakt mit fett- und säurehaltigen Mitteln, Salben und Lotionen Unzureichende Stabilisierung durch Funktionsverlust des Materials Setzen Sie das Produkt keinen fett- und säurehaltigen Mitteln, Salben und Lotionen aus. Informieren Sie den Patienten. HINWEIS Kontakt mit Hitze, Glut oder Feuer Schäden am Produkt durch hohe Temperaturen Halten Sie das Produkt von offenem Feuer, Glut oder anderen Hitzequellen fern. 6 Derma Prevent nicht zur Reduzierung der Oberflächenhaftung des Silikons verwenden, weil dies zu Materialschädigungen führen kann. Ein leichteres Anziehen ist durch folgende Maßnahmen möglich: Zum Einsteigen eine Anziehhilfe oder ein Einzieh-Trikot verwenden Reinigung und Pflege VORSICHT Mangelhafte Reinigung des Innenschafts Hautirritationen, Bildung von Ekzemen oder Infektionen durch Kontamination mit Keimen sowie Beschädigung des Innenschafts Reinigen Sie den Innenschaft täglich gemäß den Anweisungen in diesem Kapitel. HINWEIS Verwendung falscher Reinigungsmittel Beschädigung des Produktes durch falsche Reinigungsmittel Reinigen Sie das Produkt nur mit den zugelassenen Reinigungsmitteln. 1) Den Prothesenschaft (insbesondere den Innenschaft) mit handwarmen Wasser und neutraler Seife oder Derma Clean reinigen, um Verunreinigungen (z. B. Schweißrückstände) zu entfernen. 2) Mit Wasser gut abspülen, damit Reinigungsmittelrückstände (z.b. Seife) vollständig entfernt werden. 3) Mit einem Handtuch den Prothesenschaft abtrocknen. 5.2 Ablauf beim Diagnoseschaft 1) Die Passform des Prothesenschafts durch eine Anprobe überprüfen. 2) Nach der Anprobe den Adapter gemäß den Aufbaurichtlinien des Herstellers positionieren. 3) Den Adapter am Prothesenschaft so sichern, dass die Prothese den Belastungen der dynamische Anprobe und der Testphase standhält. 4) Während der dynamischen Anprobe die Außenschaftform und den Schaftrandverlauf überprüfen. Im Bedarfsfall Anpassungen durch Beschleifen sowie Austulpen des Schaftrandverlaufs am Diagnoseschaft durchführen. 5) Optional: Einen flexiblen Sitzbereichsausschnitt für den definitiven Außenschaft auf dem Diagnoseschaft anzeichnen. 6) Den Patienten während einer Testphase (max. 4 Wochen) die Prothese auf Funktion und Passform prüfen lassen. 7) Nach erfolgreichem Test den vollständigen Prothesenschaft (mit Innenschaft) an den Hersteller zurückschicken. Darauf achten, dass sich der Adapter auf dem Transportweg nicht vom Diagnoseschaft lösen kann. 5.3 Ablauf beim definitiven Prothesenschaft 1) Den Grundaufbau der Prothese mit dem SiOCX TF Schaft und den anderen Prothesenkomponenten gemäß den Aufbaurichtlinien des Herstellers durchführen. 2) Den statischen Aufbau der Prothese durchführen. 3) HINWEIS! Den Prothesenschaft nicht beschleifen. Bei der dynamische Anprobe die Funktion und den Sitz der Prothese überprüfen und bei Bedarf optimieren. 4) Die Prothese fertigstellen. 6 Ottobock

7 5) Wenn der Patient im Laufe der Tragezeit übermäßigen Druck oder Änderung der Passform wahrnimmt, den Prothesenschaft umgehend überprüfen und, wenn notwendig, Anpassungen ohne Beschädigung des Prothesenschafts durchführen oder einen neuen Prothesenschaft anfertigen lassen. 6 Wartung Die Wartungsintervalle und die Lebensdauer sind von der Belastung des Patienten im privaten und beruflichen Umfeld abhängig und müssen vom Orthopädie-Techniker berücksichtigt werden. Es wird empfohlen den Schaft halbjährlich zu warten. Wartungsschritte > Benötigte Werkzeuge und Materialien: Innensechskantschlüssel 2 mm, 1) Den Prothesenschaft auf Beschädigungen prüfen. 2) Den Ventilverschluss lösen. 3) Die zueinander gehörenden Schrauben und Einsetzmuttern markieren. 4) Die Schrauben mit dem Innensechskantschlüssel herausschrauben. 5) Den Silikonschaft herausnehmen. 6) Den Prothesenschaft reinigen (Kapitel Reinigung und Pflege siehe Seite 6). 7) Optional: Den Silikonschaft auskochen. 8) Den Prothesenschaft wieder zusammenzubauen. 7 Entsorgung Das Produkt darf nicht überall mit unsortiertem Hausmüll entsorgt werden. Eine nicht den Bestimmungen des Verwenderlands entsprechende Entsorgung kann sich schädlich auf die Umwelt und die Gesundheit auswirken. Die Hinweise der für das Verwenderland zuständigen Behörde zu Rückgabe-, Sammel- und Entsorgungsverfahren beachten. 8 Haftung Eine Haftung erstreckt sich ausschließlich auf das Produkt in der vom Hersteller abgegebenen Form. Sie erstreckt sich nur auf Leistungen, die vom Hersteller vorgenommen wurden. Vom Hersteller vormontierte oder abgegebene Hilfsmittel sind sofort nach Erhalt zu überprüfen. Als vertraglich geschuldet gilt eine Beschaffenheit der in dem Hilfsmittel eingesetzten Teile oder der am Hilfsmittel vorgenommenen Arbeiten nach dem Stand der Technik entsprechend den vom Orthopädie-Techniker / Kunden zugelieferten Rezepturen und Verwenderinformationen. Dies schließt die Passgenauigkeit des Hilfsmittels bzw. der Hilfsmittelbestandteile nur insofern ein, als diese sich anhand der zugelieferten Rezepturen und Verwenderinformationen überprüfen lässt. Eine darüber hinausgehende Gewährleistung für die Passgenauigkeit kann nicht übernommen werden. 1 Product Description English Date of the last update: Please read this document carefully. 8 1.1 Construction and Function The SiOCX TF socket is a prosthetic socket system custom-made according to the patient's data. It is composed of an HTV silicone inner socket and a prepreg carbon outer socket with a positioned adapter. As an option, additional silicone gel pads as well as flexible socket sections can be integrated to provide pressure relief in sensitive or bony areas. The outer socket is supplied with an adapter which is positioned according to customer specifications and is available in the following versions: 1. SiOCX TF (with closed outer socket) 2. SiOCX TF Pro (with frame socket) With the closed outer socket a fitting step is integrated into the process for better adjustment to the patient. For this purpose, the definitive inner socket is supplied with a ThermoLyn check socket without positioned adapter. With the check socket the shape and socket trim line can be changed and the adapter position can be set. 2 Application 2.1 Intended Use The SiOCX TF socket is a prosthetic socket for transfemoral amputees. 2.2 Area of Application The check socket is intended to verify proper fit. The optimal fit and adapter position are determined directly with an aligned prosthesis. SiOCX TF sockets are used irrespectively of the mobility grade. The patient's motor abilities must be such that he or she is able to get into the prosthetic socket using a donning aid. 3 Safety 3.1 Explanation of warning symbols CAUTION NOTICE Warnings regarding possible risks of accident or injury. NOTICE Mechanical damage to the product Damage due to change in or loss of functionality Use caution when working with the product. If the product is damaged check it for proper function and readiness for use. In case of changes in or loss of functionality, do not continue using the product (see "Signs of changes in or loss of functionality during use" in this section). Take suitable measures if required (e. g. repair, replacement, inspection by the manufacturer's customer service etc.). 8 Ottobock

Signs of changes in or loss of functionality during use Among other factors, changes in functionality can be indicated by an altered gait pattern, a change in the positioning of the prosthesis components relative to each other and by the development of noises. 4 Scope of Delivery The scope of delivery for the product is shown on page 2 (Figures 1 and 2). Observe the alignment and assembly instructions. Inform the patient. 10 To ensure sufficient stability for the dynamic trial fitting and test phase do not cut out the seat region of the thermoplastic prosthetic socket. CAUTION Heat treatment of the thermoplastic prosthetic socket Injuries due to contact with hot material Do not carry out any heat treatments on the prosthetic socket when the patient is wearing it. Allow the prosthetic socket to cool after heat treatment. Inform the patient. NOTICE Contact with heat, embers or fire Damage to the product due to high temperatures Keep the product away from open flame, embers and other sources of heat. Inform the patient. Derma Prevent must not be used to reduce the silicone's surface adhesion because this can cause material damage. Donning can be facilitated through the following actions: Use a donning aid or pull-in stockinette to get the residual limb into the socket. 10 Ottobock

11 5.1.4 Cleaning and Care CAUTION Improper cleaning of the inner socket Skin irritation, formation of eczema or infections due to contamination with germs and damage to the inner socket Clean the inner socket daily according to the instructions given in this section. NOTICE Use of improper cleaning agents Damage to the product due to use of improper cleaning agents Only clean the product with the approved cleaning agents. 1) Clean the prosthetic socket (especially the inner socket) with lukewarm water and neutral soap or Derma Clean to remove dirt and contaminants (e.g. perspiration residue). 2) Rinse thoroughly with water to remove all residues from cleaning agents (e.g. soap). 3) Dry the prosthetic socket with a towel. 5.2 Procedure for Check Socket 1) Try on the prosthetic socket to check the fit. 2) After trial fitting of the socket position the adapter according to the alignment guidelines provided by the manufacturer. 3) Secure the adapter on the prosthetic socket such that the prosthesis can withstand the loads occurring during the dynamic fitting and test phase. 4) During dynamic fitting check the outer socket shape and the socket trim line. Make any necessary adjustments by grinding or adapting the shape of the brim of the check socket. 5) Optional: Mark a flexible seat region cut-out for the definitive outer socket on the check socket. 6) Have the patient test the prosthesis for function and fit during a test phase (max. 4 weeks). 7) After a successful test return the complete prosthetic socket (with inner socket) to the manufacturer. Make sure that the adapter cannot be detached from the check socket in transit. 5.3 Procedure for Definitive Prosthetic Socket 1) Carry out the bench alignment of the prosthesis with the SiOCX TF socket and the other prosthesis components according to the manufacturer's alignment guidelines. 2) Carry out the static alignment of the prosthesis. 3) NOTICE! Do not grind the prosthetic socket. During dynamic fitting check and if necessary optimise the function and seating of the prosthesis. 4) Finish the prosthesis. 5) If the patient feels excessive pressure or a change in fit while wearing the prosthetic socket, check the socket immediately and make any necessary adjustments without damaging the socket or have a new prosthetic socket made. 6 Maintenance The maintenance intervals and lifespan depend on the loading of the prosthesis by the patient in his or her private and working environments and must be considered by the prosthetist. We recommend maintaining the socket every six months. Maintenance steps > Required tools and materials: Allen wrench, size 2 mm, 1) Check the prosthetic socket for damage. Ottobock 11

12 2) Loosen the valve closure. 3) Mark the matching screws and insert nuts. 4) Remove the screws with the Allen wrench. 5) Take out the silicone socket. 6) Clean the prosthetic socket (section "Cleaning and Care" see Page 11). 7) Optional: Immerse the silicone socket in boiling water to clean. 8) Reassemble the prosthetic socket. 7 Disposal This product may not be disposed of with regular domestic waste in all jurisdictions. Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of the country where the product is used may have a detrimental impact on health and the environment. Please observe the information provided by the responsible authorities in the country of use regarding return and collection processes. 8 Liability Liability is limited exclusively to the product in the form supplied by the manufacturer. It only extends to services provided by the manufacturer. Devices preassembled or delivered by the manufacturer must be inspected as soon as they are received. Under the terms of the contract, the components used in the device or the work completed on the device must correspond to the state of the art according to the prescriptions and user information supplied by the prosthetist/customer. This only includes an exact fit of the device and/or the components of the device to the extent that the fit can be verified based on the prescriptions and user information that were supplied.
