Since its inception in 1984, the Heidelberg Technology Park has evolved into one of the leading life sciences research and business sites in Germany. Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH is the central communications hub and played a key role in the strategic planning for the expansion of the infrastructure and networking of the stakeholders. The shareholders are the city of Heidelberg and the Rhine-Neckar Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which has particular interest in existing and startup companies cooperating with excellent research facilities and transferring knowledge and technologies. In order to be able to meet increasing demand in the future, there will be continued investment in the expansion and modernization of the Heidelberg Technology Park.
