Um das instellen der Werte über die rehknöpfe zu erleichtern, können diese per ruckbetätigung die einzustellende ezimalposition umschalten. ll das trägt zur edienerfreundlichkeit der eräte bei. US und thernet können wahlweise mittels SP-efehlssprache oder Modus RTU-Protokoll zum Steuern und Überwachen der eräte genutzt werden, P nur mit SP. Software und Programmierung ür die ernsteuerung wird die Windows-Software Power ontrol (siehe Seite 181) mitgeliefert, die bereits mehrere gleiche oder unterschiedliche Modell der Serie PS U fernsteuern und überwachen kann. ußerdem sind damit irmware-updates möglich, sowie atenaufzeichnung und die halbautomatische Tabellensteuerung Sequencing. ür anspruchsvollere pplikationen mit kundenspezifischer Software-rstellung gibt es eine Programmier-okumentation, sowie LabView Vs zur direkten inbindung in LabView. lle Modelle der Serie PS U unterstützen die Kommunikationsprotokolle SP und Modus RTU über US und thernet. Modelle mit der installierten Option 3W können über den P-nschluß nur per SP kommunizieren. ernfühlung (Sensing) er serienmäßig vorhandene ernfühleingang (Sense) kann direkt am Verbraucher angeschlossen werden, um Spannungsabfall auf den Lastleitungen zu kompensieren. as erät erkennt selbständig, wenn die Senseleitungen angeschlossen sind und regelt die usgangsspannung direkt am Verbraucher. er nschluß für den ernfühleingang befindet sich auf der Rückseite der eräte. igh-speed-varianten lternativ zu den Standardausführungen mit normaler, aber erforderlicher ilterkapazität am -usgang sind von allen Modellen auch sogenannte igh-speed-varianten (Zusatz: S) verfügbar, deren Spannungs-ynamik in insicht auf bfallzeiten durch reduzierte usgangskapazität verbessert ist. Zum Vergleich: das Standard-Modell PS U hat 5440 μ usgangskapazität und das entsprechende S-Modell nur noch 86 μ. n den Tabellen mit den technischen aten (weiter unten) werden die S- Modelle separat mit gesonderten, S-relevanten aten aufgeführt. Neben den Vorteilen der reduzierten usgangskapazität ergeben sich zwangsweise auch nachteilige igenschaften wie erhöhte Restwelligkeit (Ripple) und höhere Überschwinger der usgangsspannung bei Wechsel zwischen Konstantstrom () und Konstantspannung (V), oder höher Unterschwinger bei Lastwechsel. ie öhe der Überschwinger bei igh-speed-modellen kann bis zu 10% der Nennspannung des jeweiligen Modells erreichen und wird auch durch die rt der angeschlossenen Last (ohmsch, kapazitiv, induktiv usw.) beeinflußt. Optionen 3-Wege-Schnittstelle (3W) mit einem fest installierten P-Steckplatz statt des thernet-slots igital interfaces ll models features two galvanically isolated, digital interfaces by default (standard: 1x US & 1x thernet, with option 3W: 1x US & 1x P), which are located on the rear side. US and thernet can be used to control and monitor the devices either with SP language commands or Modus RTU protocol, while with P only SP is supported. The software furthermore includes a firmware update tool, as well as a feature to record data and to control the units by a semi-automatic table processing. or even more sophisticated, customer specific applications there is a complete programming documentation and also LabView Vs for direct implementation available. ll models of series PS U support the common command language SP and the Modus RTU protocol via both, thernet and US. Models with option 3W can only use SP via the P port. Remote sensing Remote sensing can be done via a dedicated input which is directly connected to the load equipment, in order to compensate voltage drops along the load cables. The power supply detects automatically whether the sensing input is connected and will stabilise the voltage directly at the load. The connection for the remote sensing is located on the rear of the device. igh speed versions lternatively to the standard models of this series, so-called high speed versions (product name appendix: S) of the standard models are available. They offer significantly improved output voltage dynamics, along with decreased rise and fall times, all due to lower output capacity and an optimised voltage controller. or comparison: the base version of model PS U has 5440 μ output capacity, while the corresponding high speed version only has 86 μ. n the technical specifications tables below, the S models are listed separately with extra, high-speed relevant and significant specifications. Together with the advantages from the reduced output capacity there are also unavoidable disadvantages, like higher noise (ripple) and higher overshoots of the output voltage after crossover from constant current () to constant voltage (V) or higher undershoots on load steps. The height of the overshot can reach up to 10% of the nominal output voltage of the particular model and is also depending on the kind of the attached load (resistive, capacitive, inductive).
