1 Effect of PhytoCellTec TM Malus Domestica on human hair follicle F. Starting with anagen (the growth phase), the hair follicle and its shaft pass through catagen (regressing phase), telogen (quiescent phase) and finally exogen (shedding phase). The hair follicles used in the assays show a growth phase (anagen) of 16 days before they switch to catagen. Test Product 0.2% PhytoCellTec TM Malus Domestica filter sterilized. Biological Model Hair bulbs micro dissected from human skin fragments. Assays Hair Follicle Growth Hair bulbs were cultivated in William culture medium containing or not (control) 0.2% PhytoCellTec TM Malus Domestica. The hair follicle growth was followed during 20 days with length measurements and photographs taken. Results At a concentration of 0.2% PhytoCellTec TM Malus Domestica slowed down hair follicle growth by 50% compared to the control.
