18 PRODUKTINFORMATION-DIAMANTWERKZEUGE INFORMATION ABOUT DIAMOND TOOLS Diamanten ob Naturdiamant oder synthetisch hergestellt bestehen aus Kohlenstoff und sind das härteste bekannte Material Eingebettet in die entsprechende Bindung leisten sie die eigentliche Arbeit beim Trennen, Bohren oder Schleifen mit einem Diamantwerkzeug Entscheidend für die Leistungsfähigkeit eines Diamantwerkzeuges sind somit die Qualität, Korngröße und Konzentration der Diamanten Neben den eingesetzten Diamanten ist die Bindung maßgeblich für die Schnittleistung des Werkzeuges verantwortlich Die Härte der Metallbindung wird auf die Härte des zu bearbeitenden Werkstoffes ausgerichtet, dabei gilt: - harte Bindung für weiche und abrasive Materialien (zb Asphalt, Frischbeton, Sandstein), - weiche Bindung für harte Werkstoffe (zb Granit, harte Klinker) Die Segmente, die aus Diamanten in Metallbindung bestehen, werden im Sinterverfahren hergestellt und nach 3 unterschiedlichen Verfahren auf dem Stahlkern, auch Stammblatt genannt, befestigt: - Aufsintern Segmente werden direkt auf den Stahlkern aufgesintert, - Laserschweißen Segmente werden an den Stahlkern geschweißt, - Hartlöten findet Anwendung bei Werkzeugen, die für den Nassschnitt eingesetzt werden Es gibt verschiedene Segmentformen: Segmentiert (normal oder engverzahnt möglich) Geschlossener Schneidrand, glatt (Vollkranzscheibe) links: Geschlossener Schneidrand TURBO rechts: TURBO -Segmente Je enger die Segmentierung der Scheibe, umso sauberer wird die Schnittkante Deshalb empfehlen sich zb bei Fliesen oder Keramik, wo es auf eine saubere Schnittkante ankommt, Diamantscheiben mit einem geschlossenen Schneidrand AUF EINEN BLICK finden Sie in der Anwendungstabelle für Diamanttrennscheiben auf Seite 17, welche Scheibe für Ihre Anwendung am geeignetsten ist Hier noch einige Sicherheits- und Anwendungshinweise für das Arbeiten mit Diamantwerkzeugen: - Der Richtungspfeil auf der Diamanttrennscheibe gibt die Laufrichtung der Scheibe an - Die Bohrung der Diamantscheibe oder die Aufnahmen bei Diamantwerkzeugen müssen mit den jeweiligen Maschinenaufnahmen übereinstimmen, die Scheibe muß seiten- und höhenschlagfrei eingesetzt werden - Ohne Anpreßdruck arbeiten, es genügt das Eigengewicht der Maschine - Die maximale Schnitttiefe richtet sich nach dem Durchmesser der Diamanttrennscheibe: Diamonds natural or synthetically produced are of carbon and are the hardest material known Embedded in the appropriate binding, the diamonds do the actual work when cutting, drilling or grinding with a diamond tool The quality, grain size and concentration of the diamonds play a decisive role in the performance of the diamond tool In addition to the inserted diamond, the binding is decisive for the cutting performance of the tool The hardness of the metal binding is adjusted according to the hardness of the material to be worked on: - Hard binding for soft and abrasive materials (eg asphalt, fresh concrete, sandstone), - Soft binding for hard materials (eg granite, hard bricks) The segments, made of diamonds in metal binding, are sintered and can be fastened to the steel core using three different methods: - Sintering segments are fastened directly onto the steel core - Laser welding segments are welded onto the steel core - Hard soldering used for wet cut application tools There are several types of segments: Segmented (normal or narrow segmented) Continuous rim, smooth left: Continuous rim TURBO right: TURBO -Segments The closer the segments, the smoother the edge of the cut - That s why discs with a continuous rim are recommended for tiles or glaced ceramics which need a smooth cut AT A GLANCE you will find the appropriate disc for your application in the Application Index for Diamond Cutting Discs on page 17 The following are a few safety and application instructions for working with diamond tools: - The arrow on the diamond cutting disc indicates the running direction of the disc - The drill hole of the diamond cutting disc or the socket of diamond tools must correspond to the respective machine socket, the disc is to be inserted free of axial or radial run-out - Work without contact pressure, the dead weight of the machine suffices - The maximum cutting depth is set according to the diameter of the diamond cutting disc: Durchmesser (mm)/diameter of the disc (mm) max Schnitttiefe (mm)/max cutting depth (mm) 110, 115, 125, Die max Umfangsgeschwindigkeit beträgt 80 m/s im Trockenschnitt Diese kann geringer bei abrasiven (Marmor, harter Sandstein m/s) oder harten Materialien (zb Granit m/s) sein; bei Nassschnitt unbedingt die Angaben des Maschinenherstellers beachten! - Kühlpausen bei Trockenschnittscheiben alle 2 min eine Kühlpause von 10 s einlegen und dabei die Scheibe aus dem Schnitt nehmen, so daß sie während des Laufs gekühlt wird Bei Nassschnittscheiben ist auf ausreichende Kühlflüssigkeit zu achten, ebenso darauf, daß der Schneidschlamm aus der Fuge abtransportiert wird - Große Materialquerschnitte in mehreren Arbeitsgängen trennen - Wenn die Schnittfreudigkeit der Scheibe nachläßt, kann sie in abrasivem Material (zb Sandstein) wieder angeschäft werden - Diamanttrennscheiben sind ausschließlich für gerade Schnitte entwickelt! Das Schneiden von Kurven kann zu Rissen im Stahlkern und Segmentabbrüchen führen - Verletzungsgefahr!!! - Beschädigte Diamantwerkzeuge, Scheiben mit Unwucht oder fallengelassene Werkzeuge dürfen nicht mehr zum Einsatz kommen Verletzungsgefahr! - Immer mit Schutzbrille und Schutzkleidung arbeiten! - The maximum circumferential speed is 80 m/s in dry cut This can be lower for abrasive materials (marble, hard sandstone: m/s) or harder materials (eg granite m/s), for wet cut please note the instructions of the machine manufacturer! - Cooling breaks - for dry cut discs a cooling break of 10 seconds is to be made every 2 minutes during which the disc is to be removed from the cut so that it can cool during the run For wet cut discs ensure a supply of sufficient coolant as well as the removal of lubricating liquid from the groove - Large material cross-sections are to be cut over several working processes - When the cutting performance diminishes the disc can be sharpened using an abrasive material (eg sandstone) - Diamond discs are constructed for straight cuts only! The cutting of curves can result in cracks in the steel core or damage to segments danger of injury! - Damaged diamond tools, unbalanced cutting discs or tools that have been dropped may no longer be used danger of injury! - Always work with eye protection and protective clothing! 18 WEFRA
