Es wird jeweils nach einer der drei folgenden Methoden gemessen: Cleveland COC DIN ISO-2592 im offenen Tiegel Einsatzbereich: über 79 C Pensky-Martens DIN im geschlossenen Tiegel Einsatzbereich: 35 bis 200 C Abel-Pensky DIN im geschlossenen Tiegel Einsatzbereich: 5 bis 65 C Er hat für die Schmierung untergeordnete Bedeutung, dient aber zur Festlegung der für die Schmierstofflagerung und -transport wichtigen Gefahrklassen. Gefahrklassen Gem. Verordnung für brennbare Flüssigkeiten (VbF) A I Flammpunkt unter 21 C A II Flammpunkt 21 bis 55 C A III Flammpunkt 55 bis 100 C NLGI Das National Lubrication Grease Institut hat eine Konsistenzeinteilung für Schmierfette vorgenommen, die als DIN übernommen wurde (siehe Tabelle links). Pourpoint Der Pourpoint ist die niedrigste Temperatur, bei der der Schmierstoff eben noch fließt, wenn unter Testbedingungen abgekühlt wird (DIN ISO 3016). Der Stockpunkt liegt ca. 3 C tiefer als der Pourpoint. TBN Die Total Base Number, auch Gesamtbasenzahl, gemessen nach DIN ISO 3771, ist die Menge Perchlorsäure, angegeben in äquivalenter Anzahl Milligramm Kaliumhydroxid, die erforderlich ist, alle basischen Bestandteile, die in einem Gramm Probe enthalten sind, zu neutralisieren. Basisch wirkende Schmierstoffe werden eingesetzt, um Säuren, die im Betrieb entstehen, zu neutralisieren. Dichte Die Dichte eines Mineralöls oder eines verwandten Stoffes ist der Quotient aus seiner Masse m und seinem Volumen V, bei der Temperatur t, gemessen nach DIN ρ = m t/m 3 ; kg/dm 3 ; kg/i; g/ml; kg/m 3 v Walkpenetration Die Walkpenetration kennzeichnet die Konsistenz eines Fettes. Das Fett wird bei 25 C mit 60 Doppelhüben durchgewalkt. Dann wird die Eindringtiefe eines definierten Konus in 1/10 mm gemessen nach DIN ISO Die Eindringtiefen sind in NLGI-Klassen zusammengefaßt. DIN Deutsches Institut für Normung, Herausgeber aller DIN-Blätter. Für Schmierstoffe unterscheiden wir zwischen Bezeichnungsund Anforderungsnormen. DIN 52 beschreibt nur die Schmierstoffkennzeichnung, nicht aber die Qualität. Anforderungsnormen beschreiben verbindlich die Mindest-Qualitätseigenschaften. Anforderungsnormen sind z. B.: DIN für Hydrauliköle, DIN für Industrie-Getriebeöle, DIN 56 für Luftverdichteröle. Allgemeines Die Viskosität als Maß der inneren Reibung einer Flüssigkeit wurde von Newton 17 für die absolute oder dynamische Viskosität als Zusammenhang zwischen Schubspannung und Schergefälle definiert. Für Schmieröle, als Newton sche Flüssigkeiten, läßt sich gemäß DIN die dynamische Viskosität h mit dem Höppler-Kugelfallviskosimeter messen. η; 1Pa s = 1Ns/m 2 ; 10-3 Ns/m 2 = 10-3 Pa s = 1mPa s = 1cP (Centipoise) Mit der Ubbelohde-Kapillare misst man gemäß DIN die kinematische Viskosität ν ν=η/ρ 1m 2 /s = 10 6 mm 2 /s = 10 6 cst (Centistokes) ISO VG Die ISO VG bezeichnet einen gerundeten Zahlenwert einer Reihe von systematisch abgestuften Zahlenwerten gem. DIN der kinematischen Viskosität flüssiger Industrie-Schmierstoffe. Der gerundete Zahlenwert z. B. ISO VG 7 ist aus dem Zahlenwert 6,8 mm 2 /s, dem Wert der Mittelpunktsviskosität bei 40 C abgeleitet. Der einzelne Mittelpunktsviskositätswert ist ca. 50 % größer/kleiner als sein vorhergehender/nachstehender Zahlenwert. Die zulässigen Grenzen einer ISO VG sind +/ 10 % des Mittelpunktsviskositätswertes. Sie dient u. a. zur Ermittlung der Mineralölmasse und der Pumpenleistung, hat aber für die Schmierung geringe Bedeutung. Tropfpunkt Der Tropfpunkt ist die Temperatur, bei der ein Schmierfett im Verlauf der Bestimmung unter den genormten Prüfbedingungen ein bestimmtes Fließvermögen erfährt, geprüft nach DIN ISO Der Tropfpunkt hat nur begrenzte Aussagekraft hinsichtlich Praxisverhalten eines Fettes. Die zulässige Einsatztemperatur liegt deutlich darunter. 58
