14 The radial drilling machine RS is a modern machine with easy and rapid mobility, comfortable operator stand position and large working area, in relation to the taken up room. The lifting and lowering operation can be done with the blocked arm which allows deep drilling, thanks to the addition of spindle and column strokes (560 ) without losing centre, an important detail during machining operations with different size of tools, enabling the selection of the convenient working height in each case. The automatic feeds will be connected by an electromagnetic clutch by means of a push button. The head centralized arrangement of all the operation controls, keeps an easy operating range in all arms positions, allowing notable reduction of traditional manufacturing costs. In order to have the arm permanently free, loosen the knurled screw and press the deblocking button. To keep the arm fixed, fully tighten up te knurled screw - The arm is now automatically blocked. HEAD, consisting in an autonomous very compact unit, driven by a two Speeds motor. The transmission to the working spindle is by means of lease-hardened and ground gears. There is a pump inside of the head for lubrication. COLUMN of hardened alloyed steel, in hard chromed and ground finish; perfect sliding on perlitic cast iron housing. SLIDE COLUMN of casehardened and ground steel, avoiding rotation. LIFTING MECHANISM consisting in a 2 HP motor, with one gear reductor and spindle upon adjustable bronze nut; lifting speed is 1,5 m/min. Additional Options Tilting table - it can be set at three different heights and allows the adjustment of the working base in a position, in both directions, which is much easier than conventional inclinated fixtures. Supplementary table - this accessory will complement the working area of the base bed, providing two working area at intermediary heights between the working surface of the, main table and that of the bed base. Attached red base - adequate for large sized parts and for setting of tilting or rotating fixtures. Coolant attachment - consistingin one tank, motor driven pump, flexible pipes and soft cock.
