1 Historie und Anlage History and site UNERSETZLICH Nur wenige Schritte abseits der Zeil, der umsatzstärksten Einkaufsmeile Deutschlands, bietet der Klosterhof der Liebfrauenkirche einen Ort der Stille und einen Moment der Ruhe und des Innehaltens. Im geschützten, idyllischen Innenhof verbreitet ein Meer voller Kerzen das ganze Jahr über seinen sanften Schein. In mehreren Bauabschnitten wurde die Liebfrauenkirche mit ihrem angeschlossenen Kloster vom 14. bis zum 16. Jahrhundert in der nördlichen Altstadt von Frankfurt am Main erbaut. Gestiftet von der Frankfurter Familie von Wanebach wurde sie 1325 zur Stiftskirche Zu Unserer Lieben Frau mit sechs Präbenden" erhoben. Bei der Säkularisation 1803 fiel sie der Stadt Frankfurt zu, 1923 wurde die Seelsorge an der Liebfrauenkirche von den Kapuzinern übernommen. Nach vielen Umbauten und dem Wiederaufbau nach dem Weltkrieg steht sie seit 2014 als Kloster- und Rektoratskirche mit ihren gotischen Fassaden allen Besuchern offen. The Liebfrauen Church and its affiliated monastery was built in several phases between the 14 th and 16 th centuries in the north of Frankfurt s Old Town. Endowed by the Frankfurt family of von Wanebach, in 1325 it became a Catholic rectorate church dedicated To Our Lady with Six Pretenders. Upon its secularization in 1803, it fell to the City of Frankfurt, and pastoral care in the Liebfrauen Church was then assumed by the Capuchin Order in After many renovations and complete reconstruction in the aftermath of WWll, the Monastery and Rectory Church with its Gothic facades has been open to all visitors since
