4 2 Introduction The following Example descripes the connection of a Radio Clock to an AC500 PLC via a RS232 Interface and ASCII Protocol. The Radio clock sends a special telegram every second to the AC500. The AC500 receives this telegram and disassemble the telegram. The time and date information from the Radio clock can be compared with the internal real time clock from the AC500 and if necessary the real time clock can be set to the time from radio clock. This compare function is not implemented and has to be adapted to the application. Application Example AC500/Issue:
