2 Ziele des Projekts Steep country harvesting has been identified as the main bottleneck to achieving greater profitability in the forestry sector of New Zealand and Australia. An improvement of efficiency, work safety and environmental sustainability should be realized by developing an advanced steep terrain timber harvesting system based on innovative Austrian technology. The system prototype will be demonstrated in real conditions to quantify the improvements, to train local workers and to disseminate the project results. Photos: M. Kühmaier

7 Entwicklung des Projekts Ausgangslage Veraltete Systeme in Neuseeland, arbeitsintensiv und gefährlich -> Innovationen sind notwendig Koller hat bereits erste Kontakte nach Neuseeland, ist die beste Universität für Holzernte im Gebirge, Wissenschaftliches Netzwerk und Kontakte zwischen Universität und Industrie Projektidee entstand Ende Jänner 2016 durch Kontakt zu Industriepartner erst spät (Anfang März) Intensive Phase im März und Einreichung am Fokussierung bei der Antragstellung auf Verbesserungspotenzial, Innovationen, Anwendungsmöglichkeiten, Nutzungspotenzial und wirtschaftlicher Nutzen
