Er stellte im Louvre aus und räsentierte die größte öffentliche Ausstellung von Kunstobjekten in der Geschichte des Hyde Parks - eine Kunst, die allen gefällt! Po Artist Romero Britto uses vibrant colours and bold atterns as a visual language of hoe and hainess. He has been credited with the largest ublic art installation in Hyde Park history and exhibited at the Louvre Museum an art that aeals to all! 4 Das sollten Sie wissen... Background information Tonmodell und Weißware Das Original-Kunstwerk von Romero Britto wird von unseren erfahrenen Modelleuren in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Künstler so detailgetreu wie möglich interretiert. Nachdem das Tonmodell fertig gestellt ist, wird es in bis zu 14 Einzelteile zerlegt. Es sind 52 Gisformen notwendig, um von jedem dieser Einzelteile keramische Teile gießen zu können. Weitere 5 Stützelemente, so genannte Bomsen, unterstützen die komlizierte Figur während des Brennens. Die Figur, welche noch mit der bloßen Hand zerdrückt werden kann, wird nun das erste Mal bei einer Temeratur von ca.1250 C (Schrühbrand) gebrannt. Beim Schrühbrand schwindet (schrumft) sie um ca. 15%. Anschließend wird die Figur glasiert und ein weiteres Mal bei ca C gebrannt (Glasurbrand). Dabei wird die Figur mit einer hauchdünnen Glasschicht überzogen. Dieser gesamte Prozess dauert 8 Tage, danach ist sie bereit für die Dekoration. Hollywood Romance Clay model and whiteware The original artwork of Romero Britto is interreted as recise and detailed as ossible by our skilled scultors in close cooeration with the artist. After the clay model has been finished it is divided into sometimes u to 14 single ieces. 52 laster moulds are necessary for casting ceramic arts from every of these individual arts. Additional 5 firing suort elements, so called Bomsen, suort the comlicated figurine during the firing rocess. The figurine, which still can be crushed by your naked hand is now fired for the first time at a temerature of 1250 C (biscuit or initial firing). During this biscuit (or initial) firing the figurine shrinks by arox. 15 %. Afterwards this figurine is glazed and fired one more time at arox C (glaze firing). In this rocess the figurine is covered with a flimsy glass film. This whole rocess lasts 8 days and after that the figurine is reared for decoration. 4

10 Das sollten Sie wissen... Background information Veredelung Das Vorbereiten der Schiebebilder ist ein aufwendiger Prozess. Die vom Künstler übermittelten Daten werden zunächst digital aufbereitet und der komlexen Form der Figur angeasst. Hierbei muss darauf geachtet werden, dass die vorerst rovisorischen Schiebebilder möglichst nahtlos aneinander assen. Viele Versuche und Überarbeitungen sind notwendig. Erst jetzt werden die fertigen Daten zur Schiebebildentwicklung freigegeben. Selbst erfahrene Schiebebildhersteller müssen die Farben mehrmals otimieren. Die bis zu 25 Aufglasurfarben, die aus verschiedenen Metalloxiden bestehen, müssen nach den Auf-glasurbränden (750 C-900 C) schließlich dem Original des Künstlers so exakt wie möglich entsrechen. In mühevoller Handarbeit werden die hauchdünnen Schiebebilder nun räzise und vorsichtig aufgetragen. Die schwarzen Linien werden mit einem seziellen keramischen Pinsel von Hand bemalt. Finishing Prearing the decals is a very elaborate rocess. The data rovided by the artist are edited as digitized data and will then be adated to the comlex form of the figurine. It is to be considered that the initially rovisional decals will fix together as seamless as ossible. Many attemts and revisions are necessary. Not till then the final data can be aroved for decal develoment. Even exerienced decal roducers have to otimize the colours several times. After the onglaze firings (750 C-900 C) u to 25 onglaze colours, consisting of different metal oxides, must finally corresond to the original of the artist as exactly as ossible. In elaborate manual work the flimsy decals are now alied very recisely and cautiously. The black lines are ainted by hand with a secial ceramic brush. 10
