GTO 2007 Topics Nanotechnology Silicon technology will continue to evolve for at least another decade, deep into the nano-scale regime, providing the foundation for continued systems performance increases. Nanotechnology is about more than just about information technology A New Era in Systems Design Systems of the future will be composed of massively multi-threaded processors built by radically new hardware design methodologies Managing Business Integrity The dynamics of disaggregated value nets, compounded by increasing regulations and data explosion, will require a new approach to manage business integrity Digital Communities The emergence of digital communities is enabling new forms of global interaction between individuals, affecting how they work, socialize, and play 10

Mehrwert soll in vier RFID Fokusbereichen erzeugt werden Supply Chain Asset Tracking Asset Traceability Asset Monitoring Transforming supply chains by providing endto-end visibility of goods & enabling improved inventory management Tracking individual objects to enable effective resource management and location awareness Tracing the life cycle of individual objects from raw materials to end users as well as through the recycling processes Remotely collecting sensor data across networks to monitor the state, condition, utilization of assets & improve asset usage Partner Ecosystem IBM Services Capabilities S&A Solutions Framework SOA Foundation 14
Für die rasche Einführung von RFID Lösungen sind offene Standards eine Voraussetzung Open standards must take hold in every industry. Without them, it s too difficult and costly to achieve the kind of transformation we ve been talking about Companies that innovate on top of open standards are advantaged because resources are freed up for higher-value work and because market opportunities expand as the standards proliferate.
