Wirtschaft. Politik. Wissenschaft. Economics. Policy. Research. Since its founding in 1925, DIW Berlin has been combining economic research with independent, authoritative, and effective policy advice. We pose questions that dig deeper, and we are not content providing conventional solutions to complex economic and social problems. Our ambition is to act as a sensitive and reliable barometer of changes in the economic climate. 28
