Diese ziemlich junge Theorie geht ganz genau auf die Beschreibung der heutigen Gesellschaft ein und versucht dabei, neue Erscheinungsformen und Veränderungen zu erklären. Das Thema der Hausarbeit sprach mich erstmals darum an, weil sie ganz neue und außergewöhnliche Ansätze enthält. Außerdem ergibt sich die Möglichkeit, aufgrund ihrer Aktualität die Situation mitzuverfolgen und zu beurteilen. In dieser Hausarbeit versuche ich mich mit dieser Individualisierungstheorie auseinanderzusetzen und sie plausibel darzustellen. Zunächst präsentiere ich die Konzeption von Ulrich Beck und erkläre anschließend die wichtigsten Formulierungen seiner Theorie. Danach erläutere ich die Auswirkungen des Individualisierungsprozesses auf verschiedene Lebensbereiche. Dabei habe ich mich auf drei, meiner Meinung nach, wichtigsten Aspekte begrenzt. Im nächsten Teil meiner Hausarbeit stelle ich die Kritik an der Bekschen Theorie dar, indem ich mich auf die Beurteilung von Klaus-Jürgen Tillmann und Guenter Burkart beziehe. Im Schlussteil fasse ich das Ergebnis dieser Arbeit zusammen und nehme Stellung zur Beckschen Theorie. Bei der Beschäftigung mit diesem Thema habe ich festgestellt, dass es sehr viel Literatur über diese Theorie zur Verfügung steht. In dieser Hausarbeit stütze ich mich hauptsächlich auf seinen Aufsatz Das eigene Leben in die eigene Hand nehmen aus der Zeitschrift Pädagogik. Zusätzlich benutze ich auch Sekundärliteratur von Klaus-Jürgen Tillmann und Guenter Burkart - beiden Autoren gelingt es, die Becksche Individualisierungstheorie ganz deutlich zu erläutern.
