Study syllabus Qualification on graduation Swiss specialist baccalaureate in healthcare 1. Four year Bachelor degree programme, Type I 180 ECTS (including additional modules A and B/C) Winterthur, Bern, Geneva or 2. Two and a half year Bachelor degree programme, Type II (nurses) 120 ECTS (60 ECTS accredited from the nurse programm) Bern, Lausanne (near Geneva) 1st year is an assessment year, followed by main course of study in 2nd and 3rd years, followed by module B/C in 4th year
Bachelor Programme Midwifery Structure of the degree programme 50% theoretical training and 50% practical training assignments (1th 4 th year); 1 3 year it is ⅔ theoretical-, and ⅓ practical training Interdisciplinary and interprofessional modules Profession specific modules: Midwifery Professional Role of the Midwife Midwifery assessment and interventions (including clinical assessement) Medical fundamentals Bachelor thesis 3
