3 1 Yealink W52 DECT IP Telefone WARNING: THIS PROCEDURE DESCRIBES HOW TO MANUALLY RECONFIGURE YEALINK W52 DECT IP PHONES TO WORK ON THE PLACETEL UC-ONE NETWORK. ONCE THIS PROCEDURE HAS BEEN COMPLETED, ANY PRIOR CONFIGURATION SETTINGS ON THE DEVICE WILL BE OVERWRITTEN, INCLUDING THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD, AND THE DEVICE WILL ONLY BE USABLE ON THE PLACETEL UC-ONE NETWORK. THE DEVICE MUST BE RETURNED TO THE YEALINK FACTORY DEFAULT CONFIGURATION BEFORE IT CAN BE USED ON ANY NETWORK OTHER THAN PLACETEL UC-ONE. MINIMUM FIRMWARE REQUIREMENT IS FOR THE BASE STATION. HANDSETS WILL BE UPGRADED AFTER THE CONFIGURATION DOWNLOAD. VISIT SUPPORT.YEALINK.COM FOR FIRMWARE DOWNLOAD DETAILS. Factory Default Instructions with Base PIN: From the handset, performing a default will require the Base PIN. Navigate through the menu by pressing the handset s OK key and choosing the following menu selections: Settings -> System Settings -> Base Reset Enter the PIN, and the handset will confirm the base reset. (Note: This reset will maintain the handset registrations but default all other settings.) Factory Default Instructions without Base PIN: 1. Remove the power from the base station. Long press the paging button and connect the power while maintaining long press. The LEDs will light up in sequence from bottom to top. 2. Release the paging button and power cycle the base. All handset registrations have now been lost. 3. Register a handset to the base. A two-second long press on the base station, plus following phone prompts will register the phone with the default Base PIN (0000). Configuring the Device 1. From a factory default baseline on a Yealink W52 device, determine the IP address through the menu with the OK button on a paired handset: 2. Enter the IP address into your browser to be prompted for login. 3. Log in to the device using the default (case-sensitive) username ("admin") and password ("admin"), and then click Confirm. 4. Under the Settings tab, click on Auto Provision. 5. Enter the provisioning server address into the Server URL field Click Confirm. 7. Click Auto Provision Now. This will cause the device to request the files from the provisioning server and reboot FINOCOM AG / PLACETEL SEITE 3

4 Once the boot process has completed, the device will be provisioned for use in the Placetel UC-One network. If the station assignment process was properly completed prior to the reboot, the device will boot into a station specific assigned/usable state. If not, the device will boot into a default unassigned/unusable state, and will remain in this state until the site administrator has completed the station assignment process. If this occurs, contact your site administrator and request that station assignment be completed for the device in question. Manual Firmware Download Instructions: If your phone is unable to establish a connection to Placetel, you may need a firmware update before attempting to contact the Placetel UC-One configuration servers. Confirm your phone s firmware via the Status menu on the handset: If the firmware is earlier than , you will need to perform a manual firmware download and upgrade 1. Visit support.yealink.com to download the minimum firmware from the manufacturer. Save the downloaded file to your desktop. 2. Using your browser, log into the phone using the default (case-sensitive) username ("admin") and password ("admin"). 3. Under the Phone tab, select Upgrade on the left sidebar, and beneath the Select and Upgrade Base Firmware, select Browse. 4. Locate the folder where the downloaded firmware can be found. Select the firmware file. 5. Click Upgrade, and your file transfer should begin. Once upgraded, you can confirm the new firmware via the Status menu: 6.
