Under this motto IT outsourcing services and the IT Outsourcing Solutions Forum were presented for the first time as a standalone display category at CeBIT The new initiative proved a great success. 183 exhibitors from 26 nations provided information about their services on a total display area of 2500 m 2 in Hall 8. Hier werden Themen wie Formen des Outsourcings, Offshore, BPO, Projektmanagement oder Vertragsgestaltung diskutiert. Des Weiteren werden im Rahmen der Networking-Area kompetente Beratung zu Fachfragen sowie Informations- und Diskussionsmöglichkeiten mit Experten führender Anbieter und Kontakte zu Anwendern, Entscheidungsträgern, Beratern und Wissenschaftlern geboten. In 2006 the IT Outsourcing Solutions Forum will once again take place in Hall 8. This year s exhibitors and visitors were all agreed that it made excellent sense to position the Forum close to the exhibition area. The lecture-style presentations will be given on all seven days of the show, and admission is free of charge for CeBIT visitors. As well as talks on practical questions there will also be contributions relating to the strategic, entrepreneurial, economic, organizational and legal aspects of outsourcing. The subjects up for discussion include forms of outsourcing, offshore providers, BPO, project management and the drafting of contracts. Also on offer in the Networking Area will be professional advice on technical matters, plus opportunities to talk to experts from leading service providers and make contact with existing users, decision-makers, consultants and specialists.

Die Zahl der Outsourcing-Vorhaben steigt kontinuierlich an. Dieser Trend lässt für die kommenden Jahre ein stetiges Wachstum im IT-Services-Bereich erwarten. Insbesondere in Europa entwickelt sich der Markt für IT-Services mit hoher Dynamik. Besonders der deutsche Outsourcing-Markt wächst rasant und dürfte die bislang auslagerungsfreudigsten Briten schon bald überholt haben. Auch in anderen europäischen Ländern registrieren die Experten einen regelrechten Outsourcing-Boom. So legte das Total Contract Value in Norwegen im vergangenen Jahr um sagenhafte 395 % zu und in den Niederlanden immerhin noch um 98,9 %. Aufgrund des enormen Wachstums im Markt und der sehr guten Ausstellerund Besucherresonanz 2005 erwarten wir, dass sich der Ausstellungsbereich IT Outsourcing Services im Jahr 2006 noch weiter vergrößern wird. MARKET GROWTH IN EUROPE More and more companies are now streamling their internal IT operations and choosing to buy in IT services from outside providers. The number of outsourcing projects is steadily growing. This trend points to continuing growth in the IT services sector over the coming years. In Europe especially the market for IT services is expanding rapidly. So far the British have led the field in embracing outsourcing, but the German outsourcing market is growing so fast that it looks set to overtake the UK market very soon. In other European countries too the experts have detected a real outsourcing boom. In Norway last year the total contract value increased by a staggering 395 %, making growth of 98.9 % for the Netherlands appear relatively modest by comparison! Based on this astonishing growth in the market and the excellent response of exhibitors and visitors in 2005, we anticipate that the IT Outsourcing Services display category will continue to expand in 2006.

Welcher Bereich z.b. der aktuell am schnellsten wachsende ist, Business Process Outsourcing oder HR-Outsourcing, wird aktuell noch erörtert. Im Interesse aller ist den Veranstaltern viel mehr daran gelegen, den gesamten Markt in seiner ganzen Komplexität mit allen Facetten und Nischen auf der CeBIT abzubilden. ONSHORE, NEARSHORE OR OFFSHORE? A total of 250 exhibiting companies from 30 countries are expected to take part probably occupying the whole of Hall 8 with around 4000 m 2 of display space. We anticipate that Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Malaysia, Vietnam, Turkey, Morocco and South Africa will also send national group presentations to the show in ITO, BPO, HRO OR KPO? The terminology relating to this topic is currently the subject of debate in various publications. And the experts are still arguing about which is the fastest-growing sector in outsourcing BPO (business processes) or HRO (human resources). In organizing CeBIT, however, we have to stay focused on the bigger picture. Our aim is to portray the whole of the market in all its complexity, with all its different facets and niches.
