Vi rekommrar att du läser instruktionshäftet noggrant innan du sätter upp ditt tält och att du tränar ordtligt på att sätta upp och ta ner t innan du går ut på din första tur. Trots sin låga vikt är Jannu mycket starkt om t används korrekt, m t kräver noggrann skötsel och handhavan för att fungera optimalt. You have invested in a truly high-d, high quality tt, so take care of your investmt. We strongly recommd that you read these instructions completely before setting up your tt, and that you practice setting up your tt at home before taking it on a backcountry trip. Despite its light weight, the Jannu is exceptionally strong if used correctly, but it does require proper care and handling to function at its full pottial. Follow ALL directions in this booklet. Doing this will sure the greatest longevity of your tt and the maximum befit to you. What s includ with the Jannu One outer tt in Kerlon 1200 connected to one inner tt; 13 attached guy lines with line runners; 9 mm poles 2 x 368 cm and 1 x 373 cm with an angled insert; 15 pegs; stuff bags for tt, poles and pegs; one spare pole section; one pole repair sleeve; and an instruction booklet. note: There are 15 possible peg points on the Jannu. The tt itself is selfsupporting, and pegging the vestibule requires two pegs in the vestibule itself and two on the back d of the tt. We recommd that you make using all peg points and guy lines part of your normal routine since weather in the backcountry is always unpredictable! Willkomm zu Deinem neu Hilleberg Jannu! Trotz seines gering Gewichts ist das Jannu bei sachgemäßer Verwdung außergewöhnlich stark. Um optimal zu funktionier, bedarf es jedoch sorgfältiger Pflege und Handhabung. Folge all Anweisung, so wirst Du an diesem Zelt lange Freu hab. Jannu Inhalt Außzelt aus Kerlon 1200 mit eingebautem Innzelt. 13 vormontierte Abspannlein mit Leinspannern. 9-mm-Gestänge: 2 x 368 cm und 1 x 373 cm mit Winkelsegmt. 15 Heringe. Packsäcke für Zelt, Gestänge und Heringe. 1 extra Stangsegmt, 1 Reparaturhülse und 1 Aufbauanleitung. wichtig: Das Jannu besitzt 15 Ansatzpunkte für die Heringe. Als selbst trags Zelt müsst zwar nur die Apsi und das Zelt mit jeweils 2 Hering gesichert werd, jedoch empfehl wir Dir immer alle Eck mit Hering zu verankern und alle Abspannlein zu verwd, da sich die Wetterbedingung schnell änrn könn. 2 3

3 1 2 Att välja tältplats 1 Välj så vindskyddad och jämn plats som möjligt, och fri från sådant som kan skada ditt tält. En konvex yta ger bättre spänning och minskar risk för vatt unr tältet. Viktigt om hantering av tältstängerna 2 4 Våra tältstänger är av högsta kvalitet, m är lättviktsprodukt som kräver korrekt hantering annars kan stång knäckas och i värsta fall leda till fara. Kasta aldrig ut stång för ihopsättning eftersom stånglarna kan få sprickor eller andra skador när slår ihop. Vik ut och sätt ihop sektion i taget. Se till att larna går ihop ordtligt och att inte glir isär eftersom glipa kan orsaka stångbrott. Choosing a tt site 1 Find a spot that is as protected as possible from the wind, and that is ev, level and free of anything that might damage your tt. A slightly convex site will create better stretch in the pitching and minimize moisture collecting unr the tt. Important note about pole usage 2 4 Our tt poles are the best available, but they are still lightweight aluminum. Incorrectly handled, a pole can break, which could be pottially dangerous. Never extd a pole by flinging it op, since the sections hitting each other can cause damage. Unfold each pole carefully, seat each section into place, and sure that pole sections do not pull apart during pitching, as the resulting gaps can lead to breakage. 3 4 Die Suche eines geeignet Zeltplatzes 4 1 Wähle ein Platz, r möglichst windgeschützt, eb und frei von Gegständ ist, die Dein Zelt beschädig könnt. Eine leicht konvex gewölbte Stelle gibt m Zelt eine bessere Spannung und Stabilität, und minimiert Nässeansammlung unter r Zeltfläche. Butzung s Gestänges 2 4 Unsere Gestänge sind von bester Qualität. Sie sind auf Leichtigkeit konzipiert und müss korrekt gehandhabt werd. Bei unsachgemäßer Verwdung könn sie brech und Deine Sicherheit gefährd. Werfe nie das Gestänge zum Zusammbau aus, es könnt dadurch Risse or anre Schäd tsteh! Entfalte je Stange und setze sorgfältig ein Segmt nach m anr zusamm. Achte darauf, dass die Teile beim Aufbau nicht auseinanrrutsch. Die dabei tstehd Spalt könn ein Stangbruch verursach. 5

4 Lägg ut och fäst tältet 1 Lägg ut tältet. Vid hård vind, fäst av linorna i ryggsäck eller något annat tungt föremål. 2 4 Dra ut band på absids pinnfäst till sitt längsta läge. Fäst markpinnarna runt om tältet. 5 Markpinnarna ska tryckas ner helt och hållet i cirka 45 grars vinkel. 6 Om t ej går att få ner pinn i rätt vinkel är t bättre att använda flackare vinkel än att låta l av pinn sticka upp ur mark. 7 9 Om t är årt att få ner pinn, använd ett hårt föremål för att pressa eller slå ner pinn. 5 Lay out and peg the tt 1 Lay out the tt. Especially in windy conditions, use a guy line to secure the tt to a backpack or other heavy item. 2 4 Adjust the peg tsioners on the vestibule to their longest lgth. Peg down all the peg loops around the perimeter of the tt. 5 Press in the pegs completely at about a 45 angle to the surface of the ground. 6 It is better to use a shallower angle (closer to parallel to the surface) than it is to leave a peg sticking up from the ground. 7 9 If it is hard to get the pegs in, use a rock or other hard object to press or if necessary, to lightly hammer them in fully Ausbreit und Befestig s Zeltes 1 Breite das Zelt aus. 5 Uppsättning av Jannu 1 De korta stångkanalerna är färgmarkera så kontrollera att varje stång placeras i kanaler med samma färgmarkering. 2 & 3 Placera först raka stängerna, där efter stång med vinkel. 4 & 5 Fäst krokarna på stängerna. I hård vind gå runt tältet och fäst krokarna i spiralform nedifrån och uppåt för att hålla tältet på samma höjd unr uppsättning. 6 Gom att pressa ner stängerna vid montering av sista krokarna förklas arbetet. 7 För ökad stabilitet unr extrema förhålland är kanalerna och stånghållarna gjorda så att t går att använda dubbla stänger. 8 & 9 Fäst vtilskydts krokar i motaran ringar (Lämna alltid fästpunkterna med toggles montera) och dra åt band så vtilskydt sitter spänt. 10 & 11 Spänn band i absids pinnfäst så d blir spänd Pitching the Jannu 1 The short pole sleeves are color cod. Ensure that the ds of each pole go into matching colored sleeves. 2 & 3 Insert the two straight poles first, th the pole with the angled insert. 4 & 5 Clip the hooks to the tt. Especially in windy conditions, use a spiral pattern from the ground up and keep the height of the walls the same on all sis. 6 Pushing down on the pole while pulling the clip can make it easier to affix the last clips. 7 The sleeves and clips will accommodate double poles, which increases stability and strgth for extreme conditions. 8 & 9 Clip the vt cover hooks to the matching rings on the tt (leave the toggle points connected at all times), and tight the webbing straps to make the cover taut. 10 & 11 Peg the vestibule peg points and tight the peg tsioners to make the vestibule taut Zeltaufbau 1 Die kürzer Kanäle sind farblich markiert, um Verwechslung auszuschließ. 2 & 3 Setze zuerst die zwei gerad Stang und danach die Stange mit m Winkelsegmt ein. 4 & 5 Befestige alle Hak am Gestänge; am Best von unt beginnd reihum aufwärts. So wächst das Zelt gleichmäßig nach ob. 6 Die letzt Hak lass sich leichter befestig, inm man die Stange etwas nach unt drückt. 7 Das Jannu kann auch mit einem doppelt Gestänge verwt werd. In extrem Bedingung erhöht dies orm die Stabilität s Zeltes. 8 & 9 Hake die Lüfterhaube an d dafür vorgeseh Ring ein (trne sie möglichst nie vom Zelt), und straffe die Spannriem an. 10 & 11 Fixiere die Apsi mit Hering und straffe die verstellbar Heringschlauf an. 8 9

6 1 SV Förankra tältet obs: Äv om Jannu är självstagan och t räcker med två markpinnar i absid och baktill för att t skall stå bra, rekommrar vi att du alltid fäster alla golvfäst och linor eftersom vädret kan ändras fort. 1 & 2 Drag ut linorna i sitt längsta läge och fäst m ligt skiss. Linan framtill på vtilskydt skall fästas i markpinn i absidhörnet. Kontrollera att alla markpinnar är helt nere i mark i rätt vinkel (se sid 7.) 3 8 Observera att l av Jannus linfäst är förlängda för att dras runt stång eller stångkryss, vilket ökar tältets stabilitet. obs: Tältlinorna skall vara spända m inte så mycket att ändrar tältets form. 2 en Anchoring the tt note: While the Jannu is self-supporting and only the vestibule and the cter point in the back need to be pegged, we do recommd that you always peg all corners and use all guy lines since weather conditions can change quickly. 1 & 2 Make sure all the guy lines are set to their longest lgth, and peg out the guy lines as shown in the illustration. The guy line on the front of the vt cover should be hooked to the vestibule peg. Make sure the pegs are fully pressed into the ground at the proper angle (see page 7). 3 8 Note that some of the Jannu s guy line attachmt points are longer so they can be wrapped around a pole or a crossing point, which adds ev more stability to the tt. note: The guy lines should be taut, but not so tight that they form the tt Verankern s Zeltes wichtig: Auch wn das Jannu ein selbsttrags Zelt ist und nur die Apsi und das Zelt gesichert werd müss, empfehl wir immer alle Eck mit Hering zu verankern und alle Abspannlein zu verwd, da sich das Wetter schnell änrn kann. 1 & 2 Strecke die Lein so lang als möglich aus und positioniere sie so, dass das Zelt in alle Windrichtung stabil steht (siehe Skizze). Die Abspannleine r Lüfterhaube kann am Hering r Apsi befestigt werd. Achte darauf, dass die Heringe richtig sitz (siehe Seite 7). 3 8 Die länger Leinschlauf werd zur Stabilitätssteigerung an Kreuzungspunkt um das Gestänge gewickelt. wichtig: Die Abspannlein sollt nur so stark gespannt werd, dass sie nicht die Form s Zeltes veränrn. 11

7 Användning av yttertältsingångarna 1 & 2 För normalt bruk, använd d vänstra ingång (sedd från framsidan). Öpnna blixtlås upp till absidsömm och rulla ihop och fäst tyget åt sidan. 3 & 4 För större öppning, tag loss dörrbant och markpinn i hörnet och öppna blixtlås helt. Rulla ihop hela eller lar av absid och fäst d. 5 7 Vid hårt regn kan t vara bra att använda frontingång gom att öppna d högra blixtlås så långt upp att inte regnet når innertältet. För att öppna högra sidan flytta markpinn från t spännbara fästet till mittsektions fäste. 8 Gom att hålla ditt finger framför blixtlåslöpar förhindras att d fastnar i tyget. obs: Trampa aldrig på dörrflik eller låt d ligga på mark eftersom risk då är stor att t kommer jord, sand eller annat skräp i blixtlås, vilka då snart slutar fungera Using the outer tt door 1 & 2 For geral use, ter through the left si (viewed from the front). Unzip the door up to the seam in the vestibule, and roll and secure the fabric to the si. 3 & 4 For more access, disconnect the door band, unpeg the corner of the vestibule, unzip the door further and roll asi either part of or the tire vestibule and secure it. 5 7 In heavy rain, you may want to op the front trance via the right-hand zipper. Op the zipper just ough so rain cannot fall on the inner tt. To op the right si panel, move the peg from the adjustable tsioner to the ring on the middle section of the vestibule. 8 Keeping your finger in the zipper as you op or close it will keep the door fabric from catching. note: Do not step on the door, or let it lay on the ground as this can increase the chances of grit getting into the zipper, which will reduce its life span. Butzung s Außzelteingangs 1 & 2 Butze in r Regel die linke Eingangsseite (von vorne geseh). Öffne d Reißverschluss hoch bis zur Apsidnaht, rolle die Tür zusamm und fixiere sie seitlich. 3 & 4 Der Eingang wird größer, wn man das Türband löst und die Heringe von r Apsi tfernt. Öffne dann d Reißverschluss ein Stück weiter. Rolle die Apsi teilweise or völlig ein und befestige sie. 5 7 Bei starkem Reg ist es besser, die rechte Eingangsseite zu butz. Öffne die Apsi nur so weit, dass kein Reg auf das Innzelt fällt. Versetze d Hering von r verstellbar Befestigung zum Ring an r Apsidmitte, bevor Du die rechte Seite öffnest. 8 Führe ein Finger vor m Schieber tlang, um zu verhinrn, dass sich Gewebe im Reißverschluss verhakt. wichtig: Vermei es auf die geöffnete Eingangstür zu tret or sie am Bod lieg zu lass, da Sand und Schmutz die Reißverschlüsse dauerhaft schädig. 13

8 1 2 Användning av innertältsdörrarna 1 & 2 Innertältsingångarna kan öppnas från sidan eller uppifrån och hela dörrflik kan rullas åt sidan. Öppna blixtlås så att d nedre l är helt öpp och d övre till cirka 30 cm före slutet, rulla ihop tyget och fäst t med toggle och resårband vid ingångssidan. 3 Ingång kan öppnas uppifrån om du bara vill nå något i absid eller för ökad vtilation. 4 6 Innertältsdörr har helt myggnät med blixtlåsförsedda justerbara luckor. obs: Låt aldrig dörrflik ligga på mark eller trampa på d eftersom t kan innebära att sand, jord eller annan smuts fastnar i blixtlåset och t slutar fungera 3 4 Using the inner tt door 1 & 2 The inner tt trance can be oped from either the si or the top, and the door itself can be fully rolled to the si. Unzip the door so the bottom is completely op and the top slir is about 30 cm (12 in) from its d, th gather and roll the fabric bundle to the si. Secure it with the toggle and loop fasters. 3 The inner door can be oped from above if you want to reach into the vestibule or if you want more vtilation. 4 6 The inner tt door is full no-see-um mesh, covered by a zipper-adjustable fabric panel, which can be rolled down and secured. note: Make sure not to step on the door, or to let it lay on the ground; this will drag the zipper in the dirt, and grit in the zipper will reduce its life span. 5 6 Butzung s Innzelteingangs 1 & 2 Der Innzelteingang kann von r Seite or von ob her geöffnet und komplett zur Seite gerollt werd. 9 Användning av vtilation 1 4 Innertältets takvtil har två luckor, i myggnät och i innertältäv. Bägge är justerbara med blixtlås och kan rullas ner och fästas. 5 & 6 Yttertältets vtil kan justeras med blixtlås och är gjord i snösäker och vtileran väv. Alla vtilluckor kan regleras inifrån tältet. Vtilation sker äv när alla luckor är stängda, m maximal vtilation erhålls när alla luckor är öppna. 7 & 8 Takvtil är skyddad av t utvändiga vtilskydt, vilket kan tas bort i bra vär. 5 6 Using the Vtilation System 1 4 The inner tt roof vt has both a zipper-adjustable no-see-um mesh and solid fabric panel, each or both of which can be rolled down and secured. 5 & 6 The outer tt vt is zipper-adjustable, and is ma from snow-proof, breathable fabric. All vt panels can be adjusted from insi the tt. Air will flow ev if all are zipped closed, but maximum vting is achieved wh all panels are op. 7 & 8 The roof vt is protected by the external vt cover, which can be removed in fine weather. 7 8 Butzung r Lüfter 1 4 Der Innzeltlüfter besteht aus Mücknetz und einer schützd Abckung. Maximale Belüftung wird erreicht, wn sie vollständig geöffnet und zusammgerollt fixiert werd. 7 & 8 Die Lüfterhaube schützt d Dachlüfter und kann bei gutem Wetter zur Seite geklappt werd

Vid hård vind, fäst av linorna i ett tungt föremål. För att ta ned tältet, gör nu alla momt du gjor vid uppsättning fast i omvänd ordning. Vik ihop stängerna och lägg m, tillsammans med pinnpås, i stångpås. 1 6 Vik ihop tältet och rulla ihop t med stångpås i mitt och lägg ner t i tältpås Alternativt, vik eller packa ner tältet i tältpås utan stångpås och förvara d och stångpå-s inklusive pinnpås separat i ryggsäck. Stoppa ej ner stångpås utanför tältet i tältpås eftersom tältet då kan skadas Taking down and packing the tt Lgth guy lines and the peg tsioners on the vestibule so your tt is ready for its next use. Brush out the tt and clean the zippers with a brush. In windy conditions attach one guy line to a heavy object, such as a backpack. To take down the tt, reverse the steps you used during set up. Fold the poles and put them, along with the pegs in their bag, into the pole bag. 1 6 Fold the tt, roll it around the pole bag, and sli the bundle into the tt bag Alternatively, fold or stuff the tt into the tt bag without the poles, and pack the pole bag separately in your pack. Do not push the pole and peg bags down the si of the filled tt bag, as this could damage your tt Abbau und Verpack s Zeltes Stelle alle Abspannlein und Heringsschlauf auf ihre maximale Länge ein, das erleichtert d nächst Aufbau. Stopfe unter kein Umständ Gestänge- or Heringssack neb das Zelt in d Zeltpacksack dies kann das Zelt beschädig! 19

11 1 2 Utnyttja förl med hopkoppla inner- och yttertält Du kan utnyttja yttertältet separat gom att ta bort innertältet. obs: Yttertältet är vatttätt m väv är ej vtileran, vilket innebär att t är mer känsligt för konds. Med ett löst skyddsgolv (säljs separat) undviks markfukt och t blir mer bekvämt m t tar ej bort all konds. 1 5 Gom att lossa hela eller lar av innertältet erhålls ett stort utrymme som blir bra plats för att samla större grupp. obs: I mycket fuktiga förhålland kan du ta loss innertältet innan tältet tas ner och förvara innertältet separat. Nästa gång du sätter upp tältet, sätt först upp ytter tältet och koppla sedan in t torra innertältet. 3 4 Taking advantage of the linked inner and outer tts Detaching the outer tt from the inner tt allows you to pitch the outer tt as you would the complete tt. note: The outer tt is waterproof but not breathable, so is more prone to condsation. Adding a Footprint (sold separately) protects from ground moisture and makes an outer tt-only setup more comfortable, but will not prevt condsation. 1 5 Partially or fully disconnecting the inner tt gives more room, and the larger space makes a fine group gathering place. note: In extremely wet conditions, you can tach the inner tt completely before taking down the tt and store it in a separate bag. Eine Zeltunterlage (optionales Zubehör) kann die Kondswasserbildung reduzier, jedoch nicht komplett verhinrn. 1 5 Mehr Raum erhältst Du durch teilweises or vollständiges Aushäng s Innzeltes. wichtig: Bei sehr feucht Witterungerhältniss sollte das Innzelt getrnt verpackt werd. Stelle dann beim nächst Aufbau zuerst das Außzelt auf und befestige danach darin das trocke Innzelt

12 SV Uppsättning av innertältet separat Lossa innertältet från yttertältet. 1 Sätt på stånghållare i var och av 6 toggles som finns i golvhörn och på långsidan av tältet. obs: Stånghållarna säljs som tillbehör. 2 & 3 Skjut in två raka stängerna gom resårband. 4 & 5 Skjut in stång med vinkeln gom resteran resårerna och sätt bägge ändarna i stånghållarna. 6 8 Fäst ändarna av raka stängerna i stånghållarna. Om t behövs, sätt markpinnar i stånghållarna med början i hörn. obs: Innertältet är vattavvisan m ej vatttätt. Efter varje användning skall t hängas upp för torkning, helst med stängerna isatta så att vävarna kommer ifrån varandra. Innan t torkas och packas, städa ur tältet ordtligt. Om t behöver rgöras använd trasa med ljummet vatt. Granska hela tältet och laga vid behov. Kontrollera alla blixtlås och borsta ur m med hård borste. Detta är extra viktigt om du har använt tältet i sandiga eller smutsiga områd. Om blixtlås inte sköts ordtligt, minskar ras livslängd. Rgör markpinnarna och ersätt skada eller borttappa. Kontrollera stängerna så t inte finns några skador. Då tältet är torrt, allt är kontrollerat och vid behov åtgärdat, packa t i packpås, rullat runt stångpås med pinnpås istoppad. Finns t ett torrt, ljus skyddat och alt utrymme kan t vara bättre att hänga upp tältet istället för att packa ihop t. Låt aldrig tältet stå uppställt längre tid än nödvändigt i direkt solljus. UV-ljuset skadar alla vävar. Om t är årt att finna skugga och tältet ska stå uppställt flera dagar, framförallt på södra halvklotet, i varmare klimat eller på hög höjd, är t bra att skydda tältet med kel tarp, ett tyg eller liknan. Care & maintance of your Jannu Do not store your tt for any lgth of time without drying it first. After each use, hang it in a dry and well-vted place, preferably with the poles in place so that the inner and outer tt fabrics are kept apart. Before drying and packing your tt, brush off any dirt and shake any dirt or bris out of the inner tt. If the tt needs cleaning, use only lukewarm water and a sponge. Check the tire tt for damage and make repairs if necessary. Check the zippers and brush these with a small, stiff brush. This is especially important if you have be using the tt in a sandy or dusty vironmt. If the zippers are not kept clean their life expectancy will crease! Clean the pegs, and replace damaged or lost ones. Check the poles for pottial damage. After your tt is dry and you have checked it completely, pack it into its stuff bag with the tt rolled around the pole bag (put the peg bag into the pole bag first). Provid you have the room, you can hang the tt in a dry, cool place away from direct light instead of packing it into its bag. 24 Whever possible, try and pitch your tt out of direct sunlight, since UV exposure damages all fabrics. On trips where sha from the sun is scarce and where you will leave your tt set up for several days especially in the southern hemisphere, sert conditions or at very high altitu it is advisable to erect a tarp or something similar over the tt to protect it from UV rays. Reinige die Heringe und ersetze verlore or beschädigte Heringe. Überprüfe das Gestänge auf Schäd. Nach m Trockn und r Kontrolle s Zeltes kann alles wier in die Packsäcke verstaut werd. Packe d Heringssack in d Gestängesack und rolle das Zelt um d Gestängesack. Falls gügd Platz an einem trock, lichtgeschützt und kühl Ort vorhand ist, hänge das Zelt besser auf, anstatt es im Packsack aufzubewahr. Direkte, langfristige Sonneinstrahlung besonrs auf r Südhalbkugel, unter wüstähnlich Bedingung or auf großer Höhe beschädigt das Gewebe. Unter solch Bedingung ist es ratsam zum UV-Schutz ein Tarp or Ähnliches über m Zelt zu erricht. 25
