Schon Firmengründer Rudolf Läderach hatte bei seinem Vater den Bäcker- und Konditorberuf erlernt. Im Jahr 1962 ergriff er dann die Gelegenheit, mit seiner Frau eine kleine Konditorei in Glarus zu eröffnen. Seine Begeisterung für Schokolade ließ ihn feinste Kreationen entwickeln. Er revolutionierte die Truffes-Herstellung, indem er ein neuartiges Verfahren zur Anfertigung von dünnwandigen Schokoladen-Hohl kugeln erfand. So brachte eine Kugel die süße Erfolgsgeschichte von Läderach ins Rollen, die heute von der dritten Generation der Schokoladenfamilie weitergeschrieben wird. A story written by the love for chocolate. Company founder Rudolf Läderach learned the art of baking and patisserie from his father. In 1962 he seized the opportunity of opening a small confectioner's shop in Glarus together with his wife. His passion for chocolate inspired him to develop the very finest creations. He revolutionised truffle manufacturing by inventing a new process for making thin-shelled, hollow chocolate spheres. This was the literal and figurative ball that got Läderach s sweet success story rolling a story that continues to this day with the third generation of the Läderach chocolate family.
