3 KNAUF FARBCENTER In the Farbcenter you can select your desired colour tone simply, easily and rapidly. You receive information on all the colour tones already formulated by a wide range of manufacturers on an up-to-date daily basis. Once you have selected a colour tone, you can have the feasilibility, price group and the lightness coefficient of the colour tone in mineral dry mortars as well as primers, pasty plasters and Knauf paints displayed. Compare the alternatives and similar colour tones and be inspired by the manifold possibilities! SEARCHING FOR THE COLOUR Free Search If the designation of the colour tone to be found is known completely or in part, it can be entered directly in the Free search field below Farbton (Colour tone). The output field then displays all the known colour tones with this designation from the stored manufacturers. If the colour fan or the desired colour tone is not known exactly, knauf bc can, for example, be entered. In this case all those colour tones are displayed that contain Knauf and bc in their names. The required colour tones can now be selected from the displayed colour tones. 3

4 Search by manufacturer or colour fan When this search function is used, dropdown menus can be used to select the desired manufacturer or colour fans. If you have carried out a selection beforehand in the Hersteller (Manufacturer) menu, only the respective colour fans of the selected manufacturer are displayed in the Farbfächer (Colour fan) list. An overview of all the colour tones of a manufacturer or of the selected colour fan is displayed in the output field. If you want to undo your selection, simply click Filter zurücksetzen (Reset filter). LIST OF RESULTS When you have carried out a search, a list of results with the respective colour tones is displayed on the right. Here you can Select a colour tone directly by clicking the respective name in the Farbton (Colour tone) column. An unfiltered colour tone is then presented (dry mortar, paints, pasty plasters and primers are displayed together in the list of results). Directly select the product type that you want to combine with a colour tone by clicking the respective button in the product type column. The following are available: Pasty products Mineral dry mortar Here too the colour tones are displayed, with the respective product type already being prefiltered. Earmark a colour tone which you wish to shortlist by clicking the asterisk button in the Merken (Remember) column. The colour tone is stored in the Gemerkte Farbtöne (Remembered colour tones) tab for future viewing. Note You can also refine the product type subsequently in the colour tone overview. 4

5 COLOUR TONE VIEW The colour tone view displays all the combinations of the respective colour tone with Knauf products as well as their feasibility and price group. The upper section displays information on the colour tone, such as the RGB value, HEX value or lightness coefficient. The lower list displays the Knauf products and their feasibility or respectively the price group with your selected colour tone. By using the filter field above the list of products you can filter by the product type or product group. The list of products displayed below is adapted automatically. If you want to remove the set filter, simply click Filter zurücksetzen (Reset filter). The first two columns Produktgruppe (Product group) and Produktname (Product name) provide information about the product itself and the group to which it belongs. The third column Beschreibung (Description) provides more detailed information for the respective product. You can also select the name of a product to obtain further information on it. The associated product page is opened in a new browser tab. The fourth column Preisgruppe (Price group) displays whether the selected colour tone is feasible with the respective product, and the price group in which your colour tone and the respective product belong. 5

6 The following symbols can be displayed: Colour tone feasible with the respectively displayed price group (1 4) or only simple green (special price group) Colour tone not feasible Feasibility or price group of the colour tone have not yet been determined Note If a recipe has not yet been provided by us for a colour-tone-with-product combination, please do not hesitate to request it from our order department or the technical information department. Please note that drawing up a recipe may take some time. Similar colour tones The fifth column in the product list allows you to have similar colour tones for the respective product displayed. A list of colour tones is displayed that correspond to the previously selected colour tone. This is then always displayed in the first list entry. 6

7 This first column then displays a direct colour comparison: The left-hand quarter corresponds to the colour tone selected by you beforehand, the right-hand part the comparison colour tone. The second column displays the name of the colour tone. When you click it, you access this colour tone. The third and fourth column display the respective colour fan and the feasibility or price group. With the asterisk button in the fifth column you can place a colour directly into your memory list. Export You can export a colour tone in the colour tone view. The selection function below the Als PDF exportieren (Export as PDF) button allows you to select the products to be included in your export: All products: All products are exported, including those that are not feasible in the respective colour tone. Feasible products: Only those products with a determined price group and products whose feasibility has not yet been determined are exported. No products: Only information on the colour tone is exported. 7

8 REMEMBERED COLOUR TONES The Gemerkte Farbtöne (Remembered colour tones) tab contains all the colour tones that you have marked with the asterisk button in the list of results or the colour tone comparison list. When you want to return to your memory list click In the first column of the memory list you can select the colour tone which then branches into the respective colour tone view. Similarly to the list of results, the Produktart (Product type) column brings you to the respective colour tone view with the filter selected depending on the product type. The Entfernen (Trash) button in the fourth column allows you to remove the respective colour tone from the memory list. The Export button in the fifth column allows you to export the respective colour tone. Here you have the same options as in the colour tone view: The Exportart (Export type) selection above the memory list allows you to export a PDF for all the products, only for feasible products or for no products. In the latter case only colour information is output again. By using the Alle gemerkten Farbtöne als PDF exportieren (Export all remembered colour tones as PDF) button you can also create an extract for all the colour tones in your memory list. The respectively set selection for the export type has the same effect as for the individual export of a colour tone. By using the Farbtöne betrachten (View colour tones) button you can view the colours in a larger comparison strip on your screen (please note that the view on your screen and a printout both only represent a similarity, but not absolute accuracy). When you want to return to your memory list click Zurück zu Gemerkte Farbtöne (Back to remembered colour tones) at the top left. If you want to delete all the remembered colour tones from your memory list, use the Alle Farbtöne von der Merkliste entfernen (Remove all colour tones from memory list) button. 8

9 LAST COLOUR TONES VIEWED The third tab Zuletzt angesehene Farbtöne (Last colour tones viewed) provides a list of all the colour tones whose colour tone view you have called up. Your options are similar to those of the memory list: Within the colour tone list you can access the colour tone view, set the filter for the product type, remove the respective colour from the list, as well as export an individual colour tone. The buttons above the colour tone list can be used to export all the colours, view them in a wide view on your screen and empty the list. 9
