6 1. Sicherheits- und Warnhinweise - vor Inbetriebnahme unbedingt lesen Das Gerät darf nur für den vom Hersteller vorgesehenen Zweck verwendet werden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist zugriffsfähig aufzubewahren und jedem Benutzer auszuhändigen. Unzulässige Veränderungen und die Verwendung von Ersatzteilen und Zusatzeinrichtungen, die nicht vom Hersteller des Gerätes verkauft oder empfohlen werden, können Brände, elektrische Schläge und Verletzungen verursachen. Solche Maßnahmen führen daher zu einem Ausschluss der Haftung und der Hersteller übernimmt keine Gewährleistung. Für das Gerät gelten die Gewährleistungsbestimmungen des Herstellers in der zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs gültigen Fassung. Für eine ungeeignete, falsche manuelle oder automatische Einstellung von Parametern für ein Gerät bzw. ungeeignete Verwendung eines Gerätes wird keine Haftung übernommen. Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Hersteller durchgeführt werden. Anschluss-, Inbetriebnahme-, Wartungs-, und sonstige Arbeiten am Gerät dürfen nur von Elektrofachkräften mit entsprechender Ausbildung erfolgen. Vor dem Öffnen des Gerätes ist stets die Versorgungsspannung abzuschalten und durch Nachmessen sicherzustellen, dass das Gerät spannungslos ist. Das Verlöschen einer Betriebsanzeige ist kein Indikator dafür, dass das Gerät vom Netz getrennt und spannungslos ist. Alle Arbeiten am Gerät und dessen Aufstellung müssen in Übereinstimmung mit den nationalen elektrischen Bestimmungen und den örtlichen Vorschriften durchgeführt werden. 7 2. Leistungsmerkmale der Reader 2.1. Leistungsmerkmale Die Reader sind für das Lesen von passiven Datenträgern, sogenannten Smart Labels, mit einer Betriebsfrequenz von 13,56 MHz entwickelt. Der ID ISC.MR101 eignet sich für alle Anwendungen, bei denen mittlere Lesereichweiten benötigt werden. Zusätzlich wird noch eine externe Antenne benötigt, die an dem Reader angeschlossen werden muss. Der ID ISC.PR101 eignet sich für alle Anwendungen, bei denen keine großen Lesereichweiten benötigt werden. Der Reader verfügt über eine interne Antenne, so dass keine externe Antenne benötigt wird. Eine Anticollision-Funktion ermöglicht das gleichzeitige Lesen von mehreren Transpondern. Die Elektronik der Reader ist in einem Kunststoffgehäuse untergebracht, welches die Schutzart IP30 besitzt. Beide Reader verfügen über eine USB-Schnittstelle. Der ID ISC.PR101 wird über die USB-Schnittstelle versorgt. Es wird keine zusätzliche Spannungsversorgung benötigt 2.2. 8 3. Montage und Anschluss Die Reader sind für Anwendungen im Innenbereich konzipiert. Es ist eine Wandmontage möglich. Der Wandmontagesatz ist zusätzlich zu bestellen. (Siehe Anhang: Zubehör und Wandmontagesatz ID ISC.MS.MR/PR-A). Hinweise: Der räumliche Abstand zu benachbarten aktiven Antennen sollte 4 m nicht unterschreiten. Vor der endgültigen Installation sollte der geplante Installationsort auf seine Tauglichkeit geprüft werden. Nur ID ISC.PR101: Das Gerät solltenicht direkt auf leitende Materialien wie Metallflächen, Metallgitter (Armierung) oder metallisierte Oberflächen montiert werden, da diese Flächen eine Reduzierung der Lesereichweite bewirken. 9 3.2. USB-Schnittstellenanschluss X3 Zum Anschluss der Schnittstelle befindet sich auf der Leiterplatte eine USB-Buchse. Die Belegung ist genormt. Die Datenrate des Readers ist auf 12Mbit beschränkt (USB Full Speed). Es kann ein Standard USB-Kabel verwendet werden. Die maximale Länge des USB-Kabels darf 5m betragen. Längere Kabel sind nicht erlaubt. Für den Reader ist folgendes USB-Kabel als Zubehör erhältlich. (Siehe: Zubehör). Feig Artikel Nr. Die USB-Schnittstelle muss einen Strom von 500mA liefern können (High Powered Hub) Versorgungsspannung (nur ID ISC.MR101) Die Versorgungsspannung von 12 V DC ist an der Buchse X1 der Leiterplatte anzuschließen. Hinweis: Eine Verpolung der Versorgungsspannung kann zur Zerstörung des Gerätes führen. 10 Netzteilempfehlungen : Zur Ausnutzung der vollständigen Leistungsfähigkeit des Readers sollte auf eine ausreichend stabilisierte und rauschfreie Spannungsversorgung geachtet werden. Bei der Verwendung eines Schaltnetzteils ist darauf zu achten, dass die interne Schaltfrequenz des Netzteils unterhalb von 300 khz liegt. (Siehe: Zubehör) Feig Artikel Nr. Dieser ist passend für die Buchse X Antennenanschluss X4 (nur ID ISC.MR101) Zum Anschluss der externen Antenne befindet sich auf der Leiterplatte eine SMA-Buchse. Das maximale Anzugsdrehmoment der SMA-Buchsen beträgt 0,45 Nm. (Achtung: Höhere Anzugsdrehmomente führen zur Zerstörung des Steckers.) Buchse X4 Beschreibung Anschluss der externen Antenne (Eingangsimpedanz 50Ω) Tabelle 6: Anschluss der externen Antenne Hinweise: Die Eingangsimpedanz der Antenne ist auf einen Wert von 50 Ω ± (3 Ω 3 ) abzugleichen. Die optimale Betriebsgüte der Antenne sollte im Bereich Q B = liegen. Zur Ermittlung der Betriebsgüte muss die Antenne mit einer 50Ω-Quelle, z.b. einem Network Analyzer oder einem Frequenzgenerator, versorgt werden. Beim Anschluss einer Antenne ist darauf zu achten, dass diese die zulässigen Grenzwerte der nationalen Vorschriften bezüglich Funkanlagen nicht überschreitet Inbetriebnahme FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH Seite 10 von 30 M de-ID-B.doc

11 Bei der ersten Inbetriebnahme des Readers, muss dieser beim Betriebssystem des Rechners angemeldet werden. Hierzu ist die Anleitung Installation des OBID USB-Treibers zu verwenden ID ISC.MR101 Der Reader meldet sich erst bei dem Betriebssystem des Rechners an, wenn die Spannungsversorgung und das USB-Kabel angeschlossen sind. In welcher Reihenfolge die Kabel angeschlossen werden, bleibt dem Anwender überlassen. Der Reader sollte jedoch nicht ohne Antenne betrieben werden. Da der Reader über eine externe Spannungsversorgung verfügt, reicht eine Low Powered Hub USB-Schnittstelle (Die maximale Stromversorgung des Readers über USB beträgt 100mA) aus ID ISC.PR101 Wenn der Reader mittels eines USB-Kabels mit der USB-Schnittstelle des Rechners verbunden wird, meldet er sich beim Betriebssystem automatisch an. Die Stromaufnahme des Readers beträgt mehr als 100 ma. Die USB-Schnittstelle des Rechners muss ein High Powered Hub sein. Ein High Powered Hub versorgt den Reader mit bis zu 500mA. Hinweis: Die Funktion des Readers ist nur gewährleistet, wenn er an einen High Powered Hub angeschlossen wird. FEIG ELECTRONIC GmbH Seite 11 von 30 M de-ID-B.doc

12 4. Bedien- und Anzeigeelemente 4.1. LED Die LED des Readers kann per Software konfiguriert werden. Tabelle 7 zeigt die Standard-Konfiguration der LED. The operation manual has to be stored available at any time and has to be handed over to each user. E N G L I S H Unauthorized changes and the use of spare parts and additional devices which have not been sold or recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shocks or injuries. Such measures will lead to exclusion of any liability by the manufacturer. The liability-prescriptions of the manufacturer in the issue valid at the time of purchase are valid for the device. The manufacturer is not legally responsible for incorrect, unsuitable manual or automatical setting of parameters for a device or the incorrect application of a device. Repairs can only be executed by the manufacturer. Installation-, operation- and maintenance procedures should only be carried out by qualified personnel. Performance features The readers are designed for reading passive data carriers, so-called Smart Labels at an operating frequency of MHz. The reader ID ISC.MR101 is suitable for all applications in which moderate reading distances are required. Also required is an external antenna connected to the reader. The ID ISC.PR101 is suitable for all applications which don t require wide reader ranges. The reader contains of an internal antenna, so that is no external antenna necessary. E N G L I S H An anticollision function enables simultaneous reading of up to 30 transponders per second. The reader electronics of the readers is contained in a plastic housing having an IP30 enclosure rating. Both readers comes with an USB-Interface. The reader ID ISC.PR101 will be powered via the USB-Interface. They can be wall-mounted, in this case the wall-mount kit should be ordered separately. (see Appendix: Accessories and Wall mounting kit ID ISC.MS.MR/PR-A) E N G L I S H Notes: The distance between two active antennas should not fall below 4m. Before any installation the intended position of the reader should be tested for its suitability. Only ID ISC.PR101: The reader should not be installed directly upon conductive materials as e.g. metal surfaces, metal grids (reinforcements) or metallized surfaces, as these surfaces reduce the detection range of the reader. The datarate is reduced to 12 Mbit (USB full speed). A standard USB-cable can be used. The length of the USB-cable can be a max. of 5 meter. It isn t allowed to use longer cables! A serial data cable with integrated power connection is available for the reader. (see Accessories). The power supply takes place via the USB-Interface (Bus-powered). Preferred is a linear power supply with 12V DC / 580 ma. When using a switching power supply, be sure that its internal switching frequency is less than 300 khz. (see: Accessories). The optimum operating Q factor of the antenna should be in a range of Q B = To determine the operating Q the antenna must be supplied with a 50 Ohm source such as a network analyzer or frequency generator. To do this you should read the manual Installation OBID USB-driver ID ISC.MR101 For registering the reader to the operating system, the reader must be connected to the power supply and the USB-cable. In which order the cables are connected will remain left to the user. The reader should not be used without connected antenna. Due to the reader uses an external power supply a Low Powered Hub -interface is sufficient. The maximum current through the USB- Interface amounts to 100mA.
