Please send us this written delegation to the Office by 4 September 2015, if possible. You can also hand it to another member, who will bring it with them. 4 Motions to the of Members Motion 2 by Volker Tepp: Amendment of EASC by-laws The present wording of Article 6 is: 6 Board of Directors (1) In accordance with 26 of the German Civil Code, the Board consists of the Chair, the Deputy Chair and the Treasurer. The Treasurer manages the Office of the Association on the basis of Board decisions and decisions made by the General Assembly of Members. The Chair and another Board Member together are authorised representatives. I file the motion to change Article 6.1 as follows: (1) A Board member elected by the Board manages the Office of the Association ( ) (2) Two Members of the Board together are authorised representatives. Reasons: Regarding (1) The direct link of the Treasurer to the management of the Office does not seem to make sense. The open wording offers a choice, which the Board, due to experience from the past, considers more practical. Regarding (2) The present regulation has led to problems with regard to the registry of required amendments to the by-laws at short notice. The new wording makes appointments with a notary easier as all three Board Members are authorised representatives in combination with a second Board Member, respectively. Seite 4 von 5
