This is exactly what DISKUS WERKE SCHLEIFTECHNIK developed the IONIC18 process control computer. It communicates with the machine control unit to detect non-conforming workpiece tolerances caused by grinding wheel wear or other reasons and readjusts the distance between the grinding wheels without stopping the process, thus ensuring consistent machining results.
