Einbauanleitung durchlesen: Bitte lesen Sie sich vor dem Einbau und der Inbetriebnahme des Gerätes alle Sicherheitsinstruktionen und Bedienhinweise aufmerksam durch. 2. Einbauanleitung aufbewahren: Die Bedienungs- und Sicherheitshinweise zum eventuellen späteren Nachschlagen aufbewahren. 3. Wasser und Feuchtigkeit: Das Gerät sollte nicht in der Nähe von Wasser oder einer Feuchtigkeitsquelle betrieben werden. 5. Eindringen von Gegenständen oder Flüssigkeit: Bitte Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Gegenstände oder Flüssigkeiten in das Geräteinnere eindringen können (Kurzschlussgefahr)! 9. Das Navigationssystem aus der Mittelkonsole ausbauen. PCM 3.0

6 Seite6 2. Original Quadlockstecker vom Gerät trennen. 12pol Steckeinsatz (Video-Leitung) am Quadlockstecker (Kammer A) anschließen. Einen der beiden Lichtwellenleiter aus dem original Quadlockstecker herausnehmen und diesen mit dem beigefügten LWL-Verbinder ineinander stecken. Das zweite Lichtwellenleiter Kabel mit dem original Quadlockstecker verbinden. Dabei sind die Richtungspfeile zu beachten (siehe rechte Abbildung). 3. Die Schwarze Leitung am Kabelsatz wird mit Masse, die rote Leitung mit 12V Dauerplus verbunden. An der 3,5mm Mini Klinke Buchse wird das entsprechende Steuerkabel angeschlossen (z.b. STK-AL25 für DVD Alpine Geräte). Zusätzlich kann der Y-Adapter CABLE-415 (separat erhältlich) eingesetzt werden um IR-Empfänger der Videoquelle parallel zum Interface anschließen zu können. Des Weiteren kann ein zweiter Y-Adapter dazu dienen eine weitere Videoquelle parallel steuern zu können. Die Anbindung erfolgt zwischen die Mini Klinke Buchse am Kabelsatz und das entsprechende Steuerkabel. 4. Video / Audio Cinchkabel (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten) mit den drei Cinchbuchsen am Interface und der Videoquelle verbinden. Original Quadlockstecker am PCM3.0 System wieder anschließen. 5. Das System zurück in der Mittelkonsole befestigen.

7 Seite7 Funktionsweise und Steuerung: Aktivierung: Die Aktivierung des Multimedia Interfaces erfolgt über "SOURCE" und anschließend über die "TV" Taste. Um das Touchscreen für die Steuerung nutzen zu können, muss zunächst in der TV 1 Ebene die Autostore TV1 Taste für ca. 1 Sec. betätigt werden. Dadurch werden die Touchscreen Tasten mit "Button 01" bis "Button 06" geladen. Durch drücken der "Senderliste" Taste wird die TV 2 Ebene aktiviert. Auch hier werden durch das drücken der Taste "Autostore TV2" (1 Sec.) die Tasten mit "Button 07" bis "Button 12" geladen. Zum Schluss wird die TV 3 Ebene über die "Senderliste" Taste aufgerufen um mit der Taste "Autostore TV3" (1 Sec.) die letzten Tasten für Geräte Zuweisung / Umschaltung zu laden. Bei Stromverlust des Interfaces muss der Autostore TV1-3" erneut betätigt werden.

8 Seite8 Gerätezuweisung: Durch das drücken der SOURCE Taste "TV" Taste "Senderliste" Taste wird die TV 3 Ebene aktiviert. Diese Ebene dient der Gerätezuweisung /-Umschaltung. Um das erste zu steuernde Gerät zu bestimmen wird zunächst die Taste "Set DEV" gedrückt. Über die Tasten "Step+10" und "Step+01" wird dann der entsprechende RC Code eingegeben. (z.b. 2x "Step+10" und 4x "Step+01" ergibt RC Code 24) Anschließen wird der eingegebene RC Code mit der Taste "Store U1" bestätigt. Für die Eingabe des zweiten Geräte Codes wird der der Vorgang wiederholt, jedoch mit der Taste "Store U2" abgeschlossen. Die Umschaltung zwischen den beiden Geräte Codes erfolgt über die "Switch DE" Taste. Bei Stromverlust des Interfaces muss die Gerätezuweisung wiederholt werden. Die Umschaltung der Steuerung zwischen den Geräten wird in der Senderliste TV 3 über die Taste "Switch DE" durchgeführt. 20 Safety Instructions: 1. Read through mounting guidelines: Please read through all safety instructions and handling directions intently before installation and start up of the device. 2. Keep mounting guidelines: Keep the instruction manual and safety instructions for potential further reference. 3. Caution advises: Please follow all caution advises contained in the mounting guidelines. 4. Water and humidity: The device should not be operated near water or near a humidity source. 5. Warmness / heat: The device should not be set up in direct proximity of heat sources (e. g. power amplifier). 6. Connection / electric power supply: Use the device only at a +12 volt vehicle electrical system. Make sure to have a proper ground. 7. Disassemble the navigation unit from the dash. PCM 3.0 Page 5

23 2. Remove the original Quadlock from the navigation. Connect the 12pin plug inlay (video signal) to the Quadlock plug (chamber A). Remove one of the optical fibers (orange) from the original Quadlock plug and connect it to the optical fiber adapter that was included. Connect the second optical fiber to the original Quadlock plug. Check the scheme on the right and take care you connect it as the arrows show. 3. Connect the black cable of the harness with ground and the red cable with 12V battery. Connect the according remote control cable to the 3,5mm audio jack (eg. STK-AL25 for DVD Alpine devices). You can optionally use a Y-harness CABLE-415 (sold separately) to connect the original infrared receiver in parallel to the interface. You can also use a second Y-harness to connect another video source in parallel and control both of them. 4. Connect the video/audio RCA jacks (not included) to the three RCA plugs to the interface and the video source. Reconnect the original Quadlock to thepcm Reassemble the navigation unit back to the dash. Page 6

24 Function and control: Activation: Activate the multimedia interface by pressing "SOURCE" and "TV". In order to use the touch screen for controlling the video sources, you have to press the Autostore TV1 in the TV1 mode for about 1 second. By doing the that touch screen buttons "Button 01" to "Button 06" are displayed. By pressing the station list button you can activate the TV2 mode. When you now press "Autostore TV2" for about 1 second the buttons "Button 07" to "Button 12" are displayed. Finally go to TV3 by pressing station list again and invoke the the last buttons by pressing "Autostore TV3" for about 1 second. After power loss of the interface you have to do the Autostore TV1-3" procedure again. Page 7

25 Device assignment: Pressing the buttons SOURCE, "TV" and "station list" activate the TV 3 mode. This mode is used to assign and switch between devices. To set up the first device press "Set DEV". Now you can enter the RC code with "Step+10" and "Step+01". (eg. 2x "Step+10" and 4x "Step+01" is RC Code 24) After that acknowledge the RC code with "Store U1". Enter the RC code for the second device likewise but press "Store U2" to store the setting. You can switch between the two devices with "Switch DE". After power loss of the interface you will have to do the device assignment again.
