. Algemene beschrijving & technische gegevens.. Leveringsomvang In de verpakking treft u de volgende zaken aan: Standaard levering: - Manual - Interfacebox S-0 Aangepaste levering: - Manual - Interfacebox S-0 MODIFIED Controleer of de bovengenoemde items allemaal aanwezig zijn. Wanneer een van deze items ontbreekt adviseren wij u direct contact op te nemen met uw verkooppunt. Lees voor het installeren van de S-0 deze manual aandachtig door. Tevens adviseren wij u ook de manuals van de aangesloten apparatuur aandachtig door te lezen... Beschrijving van benodigde items... Manual Hierin zijn de functionaliteit van de S-0 en de aansluitingen beschreven.... Interfacebox S-0 of S-0 MODIFIED - Voedingsspanning: 8-36V DC. - Stroomopname: minder dan A. - Meetbereik van 0,3m tot 40m. MODIFIED S-0 is voor situaties waarbij de RZ 35 rechtstreeks kan worden vervangen door een S-0 (zie Appendix P). Minimaal meetbereik gemeten in een glazen testkolom, ø60 cm, met een vlakke bodem en vrij hangende transducer. In standaard water bij 0 C met sg 000.0 kg/m³...3. Transducer Deze sensor is het werkelijke opname element. Door middel van trillingen met een frequentie van 00kHz. Aan deze transducer zit een coaxiale kabel van 4,5m. . Installatie voorschrift.. Montage interfacebox De interface box dient u te plaatsen op een locatie welke eenvoudig toegankelijk is voor service doeleinden. U dient de voeding aan te sluiten op de daarvoor bestemde klemmen en deze af te zekeren met een zekering van 6A... Montage transducer De transducer dient te worden geplaatst in de bodem van het schip, door gebruik te maken van een inbouwhuis. Dit inbouwhuis bevat schroefdraad, zodanig dat de transducer via de onderzijde van het schip kan worden gemonteerd. Tussen de transducer en het inbouwhuis dient u een rubberen ring te plaatsen ter afdichting van het geheel. Over de coaxiale kabel schuift u de moer welke de transducer bevestigt aan het inbouwhuis. U dient ervoor te zorgen dat de onderzijde van de transducer parallel met de scheepshuid is. Vervolgens dient u de ruimte tussen de transducer en het inbouwhuis op te vullen met een waterbestendige vulmassa. Tevens moet de naad tussen het inbouwhuis en de scheepshuid vlak worden afgewerkt. Controleer goed of er geen vulmassa aan de onderzijde van de transducer komt. Dit zal een juiste werking van de dieptemeting verstoren. Eveneens is verven ongewenst. Het wordt aangeraden de transducer dusdanig te positioneren dat er zich geen obstakels, zoals las- of klinknagelranden, boegschroeven of afvoerpijpen in de vaarrichting aanwezig zijn. Deze produceren wervelingen in het water die de juiste werking van de dieptemeting kunnen verstoren. Indien de transducer uitsteekt ten opzichte van de scheepshuid, dient men er voor te zorgen dat er een vloeiende aanloop tot aan de onderzijde van de transducer wordt gecreëerd. Daarnaast is het zaak dat er direct onder de transducer geen luchtbellen kunnen vormen. De transducer mag dus niet worden geplaatst op een locatie waar de scheepshuid een holte vormt. 3. Aansluitingen 3.. Elektrische aansluitingen S-0 K: Voeding Op deze connector wordt de voedingsspanning van 8-36V DC aangesloten. Deze is intern tegen ompolen en overspanning beveiligd. K6: NMEA Met behulp van deze connector kunt u de NMEA uitgang en ingang aansluiten. De uitgang geeft de NMEA signalen door naar het zichtinstrument of netwerk. Middels de NMEA ingang worden commando s aan de interfacebox gegeven om het meetbereik te wijzigen. De NMEA ingang en uitgang zijn galvanisch gescheiden van de verdere elektronica. 3.. Instellingen Wanneer er meerdere interfaceboxen in het netwerk aanwezig zijn dient u per interfacebox een uniek adres in te geven. Dit doet u met DIP switch SW3, hier kunt u kiezen tussen adres 0 en 3. . General information & technical data.. Scope of delivery The packing of the equipment contains the following items: Standard scope of delivery: - Manual - Interfacebox S-0 Modified scope of delivery: - Manual - Interfacebox S-0 MODIFIED Make sure all of the above items are present. In case of an incomplete delivery, please contact your dealer as soon as possible. Before installing the S-0 we advise you read this instruction manual carefully as well as all other manuals that came with the additional equipment connected to this sensor... Description required items... Manual This manual will instruct you how to connect and install the S-0 echo sounder. Interface box S-0 or MODIFIED S-0 - Supply voltage: 8-36V DC. - Current consumption: less than A. - The measuring range is 0,3m - 40m., MODIFIED S-0 is for situations where the RZ 35 can be directly replaced by a S-0 (refer to Appendix P)., the minimum range measured in a Ø60cm glass test column with a flat bottom and a free transducer in standard water of 0 c with gw of 000.0 kg/m³.... Transducer This sensor measures the depth using a sound frequency of 00 khz. A 4.5 meter coaxial cable is connected to the transducer, which should not be shortened or extended. . Installation instructions.. Mounting instruction The interface box should be placed in a location easily accessible for service purposes and within easy reach for the cables. The interface box requires a 4 Volt power supply which should be externally fused (6A)... Installation transducer The transducer is placed in the flat portion of the ship using a mounting housing. This housing needs to be screw-threaded, enabling the transducer to be installed from the bottom of the ship. A rubber gasket ring is placed between the transducer and the housing. The unit is fixed in place with a nut pushed over the coaxial cable. Make sure the bottom of the transducer is in line with the ship s hull. The space between the transducer and the housing is filled up with a waterresistant filling paste. The joint between the housing and the ship s shell is smoothened with this filling paste. Ensure that the filling paste does not find its way to the bottom of the transducer. It is recommended that the transducer is not painted. There should be no obstacles such as welding seams, rivet joints, locking screws or drain pipes in the traveling direction. These produce eddies that prevent the depth meter from functioning properly. If for some reason the transducer protrudes beyond the ship shell, a uniform elevation up to the bottom of the transducer is made. It is also important that air bubbles are not formed directly under the transducer. The transducer should not be placed in the vicinity of cavities in the ship s shell, which could also disturb the proper working of the transducer. 3. Connections 3.. Electrical connections S-0 K: Power supply The 4 VDC (0.. 36 VDC) is connected here. The power is protected against reverse polarity and overvoltage. K6: NMEA Here the NMEA input and output are connected. The NMEA input is used to send commands to the interface box. If the S-0 is connected on a Falcon system, the NMEA input can be connected to a Falcon display unit or a NMEA output of a MultiHUB. The NMEA input and output are galvanic separated from the rest of the electronics. If multiple interface boxes in a Falcon system are used, each interface box needs a unique address. With dipswitch SW3 you can choose between address 0 and 3. 3.. Settings When there are multiple interface boxes present in a configuration please make sure you will set a different address to each one of them. This is done by DIP switch SW3, this switch allows you to choose between addresses 0 and 3. In diesem Gehäuse befindet sich ein Gewinde, damit der Schwinger über die Unterseite des Schiffes montiert werden kann. Zwischen Schwinger und Gehäuse wird zur Abdichtung ein Gummiring eingesetzt. Die Befestigung erfolgt mit einer Mutter, die über das Koaxialkabel geschoben wird. Sorgen Sie dabei dafür, dass die Unterseite des Schwingers in einer Flucht mit der Schiffshaut liegt. Danach wird der Zwischenraum zwischen Schwinger und Gehäuse mit einer wasserfesten Füllmasse aufgefüllt. Auch die Naht zwischen dem Gehäuse und der Schiffshaut wird mit dieser Füllmasse flach abgedeckt. Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Füllmasse an der Unterseite des Schwingers klebt. Das Streichen des Schwingers ist auch nicht erwünscht. In die Fahrtrichtung blickend dürfen keine Hindernisse, wie z. B. Schweiß- und Nietränder, Bugschraube oder Schmutzwasserrohre, vorhanden sein. Diese erzeugen Wasserwirbel, und das stört die richtige Funktionsweise des Tiefenmessers. Wenn der Schwinger aus bestimmten Gründen in bezug zu der Schiffshaut hervor steht, wird ein fließender Anlauf bis zur Unterseite des Schwingers vorgenommen. Es dürfen sich auch keine Luftblasen direkt unter dem Schwinger bilden. An der Schiffshaut darf es deshalb an der Befestigungsstelle nicht zu einer Bildung von Hohlräumen kommen. Denn dadurch entsteht nämlich auch eine Störung der richtigen Funktionsweise. Als mehrere Schinger nutzt werden soll die Abstand zwischen die Schwinger mindestens meter sein.
